Actually, it is refreshing to see a video like this that is very realistic. Leash training is taking me so long with my 2 year old nervous golden. She pulls to sniff everything and is also afraid of things like parked cars, garbage cans, and noises. I haven't tried a gentle leader yet, so maybe I will try and train her with that. Thanks for the video!

Love that this was a realistic video. I could tell she was uncomfortable from knowing my own dog. So important to read your dog and know their body language .

We adopted 2 blind rescues a few years back. Every time I'm close to giving up on bringing out their best, your training videos give me hope. I would love some content with blind dogs as I'm sure there are techniques I've never thought of.

Do your best, keep watching, and stay patient! If you don’t, your dogs will pick up on your stress and be even less obedient/more chaotic

Omg how I needed this video right now. My 1 yr old dog is terrified of going anywhere but an open field. She will not take any food or treats when out.

I am going to try this with my 11 month old, highly strung cocker spaniel mix. Leash training has been stressful for both of us!!!

I learned a lot about my puppy watching this. Now I know he is probably stressed or overwhelmed when he stops being food motivated in training. Also that there is a difference between sniff walking and exercise walking.

-My puppy is getting better but she just keeps smelling everything when I wish she would put her head up and walk.
-When I stop she’ll sit down but I try to wait for her look at me to start walking again which she doesn’t do. -Walking away from the house she’s good but going back to the house she’ll pull.
-she stops paying attention when seeing other people or barks and the street dogs in the neighborhood

I don't train my dogs to sit BECAUSE some streets are awfully dirty, there could be glass on the sidewalk or else, and in busy streets, when the dog sits, people can accidentally walk on their tails.
I changed for a "still". It takes few more steps but it's more secure for the dog, from my standpoint

Why does it always have to be about bribery (treats)? I wonder how much this leads to result only with the lure.
What about good old praise!?....... I noticed at about the 5:48 to 6:04 minute mark, the dog really didn't care about the treat, but seemed to enjoy the "praise" and your petting.
Not every dog cares about treats, so I think it's more important to know the dog you're with.....
    Just my humble opinion 🤗
