Yeah, Not sure that I'm totally sold on the whole EV movement ... especially if we are talking ADV platforms. Urban setting ... sure. It's not as "Green" as everyone thinks, the energy density vs a gal of fuel and a cu ft of power cells is way off, we're still way more than 10 yrs out in regards to adequate recharging infrastructure, and then their is the elephant in the room ... battery replacements and costs. This is something that is becoming a reality with Tesla's ... 8-12 yrs and a $20k+ battery is required. I read a comment within another EV discussion recently ... the EV proponent asked "How much does it cost to fill your tank with fuel" ... the response ... "five minutes" .... now, I'm all caught up on your content. Need more videos! 👍
Battery technology is garbage at the moment. Not enough range , takes too long to charge and not enough reliable power grids to support it. Electric cars are fine , trucks and bike have a long way to go in my opinion. Keep up the great content love your channel sir.
Crazy beautiful ride. I took my Himalayan on the MABDR and loved it. I am going ro head the the NEBDR next. Easy access for me. What has been your favorite ride so far? I know they are all so different.
Does making the videos help with the loneliness while riding out there? I mean, of course you know we aren’t there, but in a sense do you feel connected to the audience knowing in time we will be?
@@lordvader2060 a bit, it kind of gives you someone to talk to. I will say I don't tend to feel lonely while riding. There are just circumstances where it would be nice to have someone with you.
You would be right to think electric is the future but everyone is either scaling back or announcing eventual abandoning the electric future. Batteries are not sustainable to produce or discharge without harm
Disagree with you on that electric vehicles are the future. There are several very large issues to be solved before that can even remotely happen, not withstanding the lack of consumer demand for them. My issue with the electric bikes on the BDR films is they blatantly cheer lead them, like a really badly paid endorsement ad. I could care less if they decide that's what they want to take and ride, just don't shove it down my throat.
@docwyte Zero sponsored the route. Just like any other sponsor there is a return that is expected. If people funded the BDRs better they wouldn't need sponsors.
You just lost me. Electric vehicles are not the future, they are at best an interim fad! Unless there is a huge technological breakthrough, they are not the answer. The amount of raw materials/minerals required, non-green environmentally friendly processing, lack of practical recycling and the fact that petro chemicals (from oil and gas)are still required is ignored by green zealots. Sorry you’ve drank the koolaid, goodbye.
@@MeerkatADV I'll still watch, it's just your opinion but I hope you're wrong. My opinion is also that electric vehicles are ultimately worse for the environment and represent regress (overall) rather than progress. There will never be adequate infrastructure for electric (we've been SO on the wrong path with that in every way) and they will never be "better for the environment" (they are worse on SO many ways) so I'm in the camp of hopefully people will wake up and we can stop all the nonsense (forced EV) and let the people choose them that want them while the rest of us choose what we want. The technological advances in modern ice engines make them clean and the engine is a big part of what makes motorcycles fun. So I respectfully disagree with your opinion and hope you are wrong but that's ok, keep up the videos I enjoy them. PS we stayed at the Little Bear cabins also at Graeagle - cool place! 🤙
@@sspmoto I'm still hoping for a breakthrough on hydrogen fuel cells as they solve nearly all the issues you've brought up, but we'll see. As it stands now, full EV is the only system being developed to replace ICE.
Good advice on the braking technique. Appreciate the 360 helmet cam perspective, too.

We rode seaction 5 last weekend, that hill is no joke. One bike lost front brakes about 1/2 way down. Looking forward to future sections.
Well done on the descent👏. Hard pass for me if wet as you said😬
@paul.vanhout57 that hill would be a luge run if it was muddy.

@@MotoOffroadAdventures i have favorite sections from each BDR. The Oregon, Norcal, and Idaho routes have been highlights.
Love the video! I have been in that area many times hiking but not on my motorcycle yet. Can you tell me what windshield wing you are using? Thanks
