Great visualization practice helping you chose lines through the loose and rocky sections🙂. Thanks for sharing.

That would have been the Caldor Fire which nearly took out one of the favorite ski areas on Hwy 50. Such devastation is hard to imagine when riding though its aftermath. I live in Paradise, CA so am anxious to see your trek through the northern segments, since they are only about 60 miles away from me at Chester / Lake Almanor. I believe the Caldor Fire burned a million acres, the Dixie Fire also burned a million acres and the Park Fire buned 450k acres this past July / August. For reference: 1 square mile = 640 acres.

We got turned around by that same tree on Sec4 on June 10. You were clearly later than us based on the amount of snow you had, but curious what date your ride was?

@@brentswartzentruber5565 I was 4 days behind you. A group cleared it the next day.

Thanks for the video. I am thinking about doing this in 2025. I would appreciate and value a few tips from you. What month would you recommend? I will be doing this Solo. Any of the sections that you suggest can be doubled without making the day too long? If so what combinations? I will be going light and lodging each night on my 701. Appreciate your content. Brent from Wyoming.

@brentmiller5830 late June to July depending on snow and fires. Two sections a day shouldn't be too difficult. There are individual parts which are pretty slow just due to the twists and turns, but solo on a small bike you should be able to make good progress.

Love the videos! One thing... could you raise the helmet cam? Can't see what's in front of you until you stand up!

@davidleflar4798 if I raise the camera it'll be in front of my eyes.

Hi Brady, can you share what settings of video quality you select when you upload your videos to TH-cam? I like how clear they render. Sometimes when other TH-camrs upload videos they are extra pixelated. I’d like to avoid that and have mine show up like yours.

@JeffStenerson On the Gopro it is high bitrate, high clarity, gopro color, 1080p60. I do a little bit of denoise, color grading, and produce at 1080p60. Sometimes the compression when uploading will make things more blurry, but I've found 60FPS helps that a lot and eliminates the motion blur a lot of others seem to like.
