The fact that people would think that there are people who don't want to show ID before voting, to me, is insane. I WANT to show ID, because the last thing I want, as a voter, is for someone to go to the polls and say they were me and take MY vote. During the last election, at my polling place there was a very elderly woman who was being denied a vote because someone had come in earlier and used her name to vote. I don't know if I've ever seen a more classy dignified 85 years + old woman be so overwhelmed and angry/saddened. The poll workers handed her some kind of ballot with a stipulation attached that her vote wouldn't be counted but instead kept on file in the event that her case was investigated. I felt like the poor woman's floor fell right out from under her.

My dad was a Democrat and a teacher. I am glad he taught us how to think and not what to think. He admitted that his party of preference decision had to do with enhancing our family's economic position, by voting to keep his union in control of the public purse. None of my siblings have grown up to become Democrats, nor have I.
I teach my children how to think. I teach them to turn the circumstances around and see all sides. I teach them to try not to base an opinion nor judge, because once they do... they may find a different perspective. And I always teach them how to research deep, way beyond media, psychologically, instinctively, back door.... etc.

Lisa B not only in college. In my high school (currently a sophomore), there are idiots everywhere. The teachers... they’re terrible. Not all of them, but most of them. English, social studies, math, and most importantly... the chorus teachers.
I remember when the 2016 presidential election waas. My social studies teacher back then played cnn during home room (the time we sing our pledge of allegiances, and wait for the bell to ring). Yeah.
The saddest part is, that there are no people here of which I would enjoy making friends of. Of course I don’t let that bother me! I do my homework during lunch and save time after school, it suits me perfectly.

I will say this until someone listens. Kids are no longer taught HOW to think, they are taught WHAT to think.
My dad was a Democrat and a teacher. I am glad he taught us how to think and not what to think. He admitted that his party of preference decision had to do with enhancing our family's economic position, by voting to keep his union in control of the public purse. None of my siblings have grown up to become Democrats, nor have I.
