In US, you can get the surgery within one week of your injury. The first thing that they ask for is your health care insurance (i.e., no money, no talk). You have to sign a few pieces of paper to give your consent and to limit liability for the doctor and hospital.

I am not really able to keep the cafe job since I would like to get a sedentary job after the surgery to have a better recovery.
