Very cool and special video. Can you make another video on how to make this thing and what things did you buy to make this thing with links to tools to buy?
you probably dont give a damn but does anyone know a way to get back into an Instagram account?? I somehow forgot the password. I love any assistance you can offer me!
Love it, nice solution, really nice ad love the quality of the end result, so smooth. Thank you so much for sharing. Waiting for more videos like this. Keep it up
nice, just tried building this out of two c stand kits, definitely need something sturdier than a grip arm, though you could probably get away with it if your camera is a compact mirror less.
really cool work on this - really like the integration of that last shot to get the viewer back to a traditional view. love seeing this stuff from you guys 💪
You guys are doing great stuff! Found your channel a week or so ago and have been super impressed with the content you are putting out! Keep up the great work!
This is awesome!!! Thanks for the video. BTW: Reminds me of an old music video Sensoria by Cabaret Voltaire. (Early 80's industrial dance music will never die!!!)
loved the end result, definitely a high end commercial for sure ! Would love to see a little bit about the lighting, especially the one you were using as hard source !
Thanks Bruno! We used the Aputure 300D mark ii as our hard source paired with the Aputure Spotlight mount to create those textures. You can find a video that we made all about that accessory here: th-cam.com/video/rlTLlRFj9Sg/w-d-xo.html
We are attempting to create a similar rig in our studio. One thing we are still trying to figure out is how you mounted the camera at 1:28. Thanks for inspiring us to build our own rig and sharing this video.
Thanks for watching! We used a babypin receiver to 1/4 20 and screwed it right into the bottom of the camera. There may be a better way to do it though. You definitely need a light weight camera/rig if you connect with this piece as a single 1/4 20 isn't probably the strongest and can spin loose.
You got it! A menace arm kit, a few 8, 6 and 4 foot speedrail, turtlebase c-stands with lollipops, swiveling cheeseborroughs and a few corners and ears from a speedrail frame kit. We can put an even more specific list in the description. But as mentioned in the video - this is definitely NOT the perfect rig by any means. We just used what we had in our truck at the time of recording.
@@threefoldtv It seems like stuff most self respecting grips may have in their truck haha. Id probably invest in this stuff for general use. For it to double up as a makeshift rig is a cherry on top.
We put lollipops in the junior pin receivers and then mounted some ear attachments into the grip heads from some corner and ear sets that we have. This allowed us to mount the speed rail.
I love all of this! I must say the camera move does feel like flipping pages backwards (watched 4 times to make sure I wasn't going crazy) was there a specific reason for this choice?
Glad you enjoyed the video! The camera direction was very intentional! It moves from right to left - the same way a page would turn. As you can see there is a shot or two that shows the model flipping forward in the planner and the camera is in sync with the move. The page is lifted from the right side of the planner and then falls to the left side - as you can see, the camera falls with it.
Cool rig and great shots, but you didn't really go into what the pieces were and how you created it. Like you mentioned, I'm sure there are plenty of ways to build something like this and I would have gladly stuck around for a 10-minute video if there was a breakdown of how do you built it and your methodology behind why you built it that way. The quality of your content is great 👍

The cookies on the lights add a lot of character to those shots. Really nice effect - good work!
Thanks Jacob! Really appreciate it.

@Cash Cristiano instablaster :)
Would love a parts list for the rig!

Thanks Pedro! Glad to hear you enjoyed it. Hit us with any suggestions if you have them.
Very creative franken-rig! Thanks for sharing the idea. Very inspiring!
Really cool shot. Machines are taking over. I love that you pulled off a shot like this using what you had in shop. Bravo.
Awesome rig!

Awesome rig
Looks really nice, intressting to see how you guys pulled this off.
Thank you for watching!
I love the innovation guys!

Thanks! Glad to hear you enjoy it! Cheers!
Amazing rig! Considering trying something like this some time. The effect in the end product is super cool!
absolutely fantastic
Great idea and execution!

nice work guys, love me some rigging
That is so cool! Great out of the box thinking guys.
very nice hands on solution
Hi there! wonderful job, really! is there any tutorial to understand how to build this machine or at least with which tools you made it?
So cool!
gorgeous!
Great work guys! So inspiring!
Well done!
Thanks Dean! :)
This is perfect guys!

Thank you for this video tutorial
Looks great, worth building such manual gear.
Can you create a video on how you built the rig?
Video is live on our channel!
What speed rail head did you use to connect to the camera at the end ?
Dude...awesome...
Makes me wanna go in the studio right now and try new things, well done guys! Congrats!
A little more details or a parts list would be cool. Looks like a menace arm kit and a few extra bits and pieces?

@@threefoldtv would love of a video showing how you put together this rig
how do you manage the camera to stay at the exact center when turning the axis?
What is that in the c stand base linking the pole
Good stuff!
please do a 360 orbit shot use simple equipment
Nice work. Is there a name for this shot? Like Vertical Orbit?
Good use of pipe.
Wish we could have had a rig breakdown
this is awesomeee!!
I like your video where I can buy like this rig
Have ever thought about having a circular camera slider that you can elevate up, down and rotate and maybe mount it to the white steel beam?
How did you take the zoom in shots?
Would this work vertically rather than horizontally?
Nice rig! How do you rig the base pole on three of the C-stand turtle leg?
We put lollipops in the junior pin receivers and then mounted some ear attachments into the grip heads from some corner and ear sets that we have. This allowed us to mount the speed rail.

Thanks Prasann! Glad you are enjoying the content! And very good to know. We'll start looking at making a few longer pieces of content too.

Welcome! 👊
This video needs more views....bet if you used a cliche term like "camera hack" or "b roll trick" the video would get pumped more by the algorithm.
Common TH-cam algorithm. Throw us a bone! Haha
Came here from Epic light media
A better question is: why does a Planner need a commercial?
why you call them B-roll is a mystery that only pravda knows
it's funny as hell when people think the invented something new..lolololol
