Many years ago around 2013-2014 Jing Jai was so quiet not too many people or shops but there was a burger joint run by a Aussie guy. They made a crazy good burger & you could choose either Red Beet or Mango slice on it...I know, I know sounds weird but boy it was good 😅 Thanks for the take along Wayne!
Jing Jai market is probably my ONLY routine in my glorious retirement. I go there almost every Saturday morning for coffee and buying pot pies for the week.
Read your messages about the rudeness... I was in C.M. in 2011. I heard that the Chinese tourists were invading the college classrooms for photos. I think a famous movie was set their. Also, I heard that a local tourist agency finally refused them service. Strange, because don't think they are that way ar home. But could be wrong.
Flora and Note did a blog about this guy. The woman will also customize your cup if you ask her to. Then pay them what you like. for the coffee. Great to see the market
Jing Jai is nice place to visit. There are also a lot of flower and aquarium / pet supply shops just to the north of the market. Lots of fish in tanks to see and buy.
Wayne it can’t be 4 years only seems like yesterday. I agree it’s you regarding the coffee in Thailand. I’m in Yasothon and it took me over a month to get a cappuccino the way I like. Keep up the great vlogs
Naah Wayne, can't be 3 or 4 years since we was here last! However, did enjoy coming back and catching a glimpse of the attractions from Beijing, things are definitely looking up mate!
I would say 3 years, but I can’t be bothered to go back and find the vlog. It could be 2 years though. The market has changed Alor though mate. Good to have a look again.
Wayne... I thought about a China tour if I was in Thailand. Don't believe anything that MSM says about it. Futuristic cities, bullet trains, and new tech. Check the tourist and expats vlogs from there. They give the good and bad. Everybody seems surprised. My favorite is, "Ken Abroad". He goes solo, but think I would need guides. Thanks.
dude, it's the chinese new year holiday, there's barely anyone there! everyone is celebrating the holiday at home with family, that's why it's empty there...i was there last month and it was sooo packed! there was a lineup at every stall, you could not get to anything to drink or eat for at least 25mins!...happy new year to you!...maybe can join you for a green tea on my next visit!..Danny
Ay?? 🤣 It's been rammed here with Chinese mate 🤣. They flock here for Chinese New Year. CM is one of the main destinations where they celebrate. Loads more over CNY than a month ago. Jing Jai always busy now. Happy days buddy, I'll wait for the green tea.
Look out, Wayne is all pumped up and caffeinated. Haven't seen you this motivated to get out with the camera daily before. On ya, mate. China is a good description of this market. I prefer the big garden centre next door. And I'm not going to tell you about my favourite Cafe there. You've had enough 😅
Blew me head off that coffee. I’ve found out he’s quite famous that coffee bloke. The maze of a garden centre, always went to a cafe at the back on the garden centre. I first set eyes on Lucille in that garden Center also. Cheers mate
Darn! Looks great but not for me 😪 Last time I got caught in a Chinese scrum, I came out black and blue. No concept of personal space or respect for others 😟
I have to be honest, they are the rudest foreigner I've met here. I've got a ranking for every foreigner. I migh have to do a vlog on it sometime, but it will upset to many people 🤣
@@WalkAboutWayne Feathers are meant to be ruffled. I'll kick start the ruffle fest, lol. Brits rank 5, Yanks: 4. Indians 3, Russians number 2 and we know Number 1 I named and shamed already. Oh and Aussie dickheads rank number 6 😂
Wayne, a suggestion: look into the Osmo Pocket 3, better reviews and video quality for the kind of videos you take. I just bought one after a lot of research. The Action 5 is more suitable for vigorous action scenes, like Go Pros.
Not suitable for my full time vlogging mate, to flimsy, I'd break it within a week. Also batteries, no good for a full-time vlogger I need at least 6. My Travel vlogging needs are rough and tuff, I fling my camera everywhere. Pocket 3 is a great camera though and it has better quality. The FOV is to narrow for me, also and the blurred background I dont like. All action cameras are for vlogging these days. Pocket 3 is awesome for lite talking head vlogs though or family holidays. I thought about getting one for sit down vlogs. It's a great camera.
@@WalkAboutWayne Ah you know your stuff, a lot more than I do. And agreed, it does seem a bit flimsy, however none of the Pro-TH-camrs who reviewed it, including one who used it for months in many off the beaten path locations around the world, mentioned it actually being flimsy/prone to damage. The creator combo comes with an attachable wide lens, by the way.
@@gsomethingsomething2658 It's a great camera mate! Dont get me wrong, I would love one. It wouldn't replace my rugged GoPro though. For sure, lots of people use it. The wide angle lens is magnetic and not strong enough, and it's still not wide enough (for me). The image gets distorted with the lens on also.(GoPro does aswell) I'd like one for walk and talk vlogs though buddy. Not everyone is as brutal on their gear as I am. The image is amazing it's a great camera to own. I've tried a friends a few times. The GoPro can be a nightmare sometimes, so I could move to DJI at some point.
How about doin a vlog on the yak sant Tattoo studios in Chaing Mai. I'm interested in coming to Chaing Mai for a sacred yak sant tattoo. Would like to learn more about it!
suprized there so many chineese tourists there as china anounced recently there canceling 2000 flights from china intoo thailand from what i understood thailand mentioned their suspicions of chineese underworld persons traveling intoo thailand a lot to do some shady things , thailand increased their security checks on flights from china and started refusing entry to some chineese persons of interest the chineese goverment didnt liked that at all , it would mean a lot less income from tourism for thailand think the prices for hotels in thailand go down when temperatures go up during the year . dont think i could manage the heat in summer to justify the reduced cost of my stay there later in the year i be interested to find out where to find jeans (sweaters) and t shirts in large european sizes (tall/4xl and up) wouldnt mind second hand allready found a tailor that supposidly is able to make jeans to fit though he hasnt told me the prices yet over the emails i send him
Still lot's of Chinese tourists here, in fact, never seen so many. Hotels will go up even more for Songkran time, in the heat of the summer, after that they'll come down a bit. Some XXXL places in the malls these days. Cheers.
You really should try China Wayne. A few years ago I took a boat from northern Thailand & then used sleeper buses around south west China. Don't know if the boat still runs now though. You could even hitch a ride on the cargo badges at one time. Jinghong & Dali are well worth visiting.
Ohh mate the Market was hectic as well as the surrounding area. Neither would suit me I'm afraid i like it a bit quieter. Last time I was in Chiangmai it was mobbed with Chinese and they really are quite rude. Not very polite people, don't reckon I would ever visit China. Stay safe man stay safe
I was going to go there last month, but when I was pulling up, I noticed wayyyyy too many Chinese on the roads and around that area. Hard pass. Go home.
There was some real stunners there mate.getting hot in the afternoons in Bangkok now
Some real beauties at this market mate. I can feel summer in the air now buddy, starting to get hot up here too, but still manageable .

You are likely to get a big surge in views with this one from the lovely Chinese people. 😊
🤣 Maybe
Thanks Wayne, the wife and I like watching and listening to your tours each night. Cheers
Thank you buddy. Hope you’re both well.
Mate lots of smiles from the "Pretty Ones" (ladies).

Nice! I might have to start going more myself.
The market looks ok & historical, nice for a wander and a look 👀 plenty of different cultures there - it looks busy in that area - Thanks WW 👌✔️👍👋😎🙏
I was born in Thailand I was there couple of months ago had a really good time and experience people are friendly I so true want to go back there.
That's great! I hope you can come back soon.
Nice one Wayne. Super busy that place and easy on the eye too 😂 Cheers man 🍻
Jing Jai has that oriental feel to it, like a hipster tourists place. Lot's of ladies around. Cheers mate.
I really like the vibe of this market. It's got that nice Northern Thailand feel to it😊
It's definetly got a different vibe from the other markets.

G'day Wayno, good one mate.
Looks like you found your new regular coffee joint😂😂 lots of babes everywhere ay

I’m crap with dates, but I would say at least 2 years . 🤣. Yes mate, time flies.
That's the oldest trick in the book, play on someone's conscious. The owner puts a big note on display first. Come on in spinner🤣
Jing Jai means true Heart. Chang Phuek means traffic jam.
🤣🤣 Good one. Chang Phueak means : White Elephant. But it should be traffic jam.
Nice to see the sky's still blue; hopefully, it lasts long.
It's been ok the last few days, but no, it won't last long.
