Great culture when you look what’s happening in uk now I wish my children were grown up and independent I think I be here myself Wayne great these places Wayne and not far from the city
What a great find Wayne, that market is amazing! That's what I call a proper flea market (what we call them in the states), this is why I love your channel, always willing to pay the bar fine for content like this. 🤣
Classic market of rural Thailand. Used to go to those when I stayed on the wife's family farm decades back. They are brilliant and always fun trying to communicate with the locals and they love it too. Nice video Wayne. Cheers mate. 🤩
Love your videos Wayne! I watch you from the rural Midwest USA, what are buffalo selling for these days? hehe Seeing the Buffalo Market brings back memories of going to cattle sales here with my father many many years ago! Great memories! 🙂Take it easy man!
I'm there almost every month (We live some 10 odd Km away.) Always drink that herb tea when I see them serving (it's free and you feel a nice buzz for a bit.) That place with the grills by the chickens has some of the best Laarb I've ever had. Love it, thanks!
It won't affect Thai's too much but if you're over about 5'10" the Aerox is just about unridable. There's a small storage box juts out from the steering column cover that your knees hit, if you want to do full lock left or right the handlebars will hit the top of your knees. I tried one out for size and couldn't find anything about it except looks that was likeable. If you go from an Aerox to an ADV it feels like you've gone from second division to premiership, it's just such a well sorted machine. I was temped to buy a Forza, it's so comfortable but you need to cover a lot of miles quickly to make it worth the money. I suppose the first gen Forza might be a good deal now, but after getting knocked off by a pickup that didn't think the stop sign meant he had to stop, I decided as much as I love 2 wheels, I'd replace the bike with a cage and bought myself a Nissan March. I can get 50 MPG on a run, I don't get wet when it rains and the AC is so much better than warm air. I live in Ban Tawai, but have never been to the Buffalo market, I really must go one Saturday.
Yes, I agree, it's not the most comfortable bike. I've rented one in a few places. The ADV is the bike I really want. Ban Tawai nice place, I'll be in that area again soon. Yes, Buffalo market just a stone's throw away from you. Cheers.
Aww mate you gotta be prepared for a noisy night in those cheap places eh. Busy little market in the morning good to see some life there. Stay safe bro stay safe
As always, great video Wayne. I have a DTV visa and plan to be in Thailand soon. Would be nice if you do an episode of the process to buy a motorbike. My understanding is, after three months I obtain a proof of residence from Emmigration and this i use to go to a dealership. Is it that simple? Take it easy man!
Maybe the hotel is just for locals for a one night Humpty Dumpty 🫣🤔🤩 - the market is a ripper - it’s a wonder it’s not open more than one day - Nice work WW 👌✔️😎👍🙏
I have not ridden many bikes but I received my motorcycle license endorsement before I left the USA in 2022 to come here. I started with a Click 125, I now have a PCX 160 and next year I will upgrade to the ADV 360 for long trips within SE Asia.🙏
Hello Wayne - we came from different countries ( I´m german ) but quiet at the same age ( 53 ) .... well....i just saw your video from 12 days ago ( the beautiful lady who sells drinks .... and more since she became a little bit famous by you ). Well ..... i understand you .... she isn´t only beautiful, she speaks fluent english and migth be around 40 years old ( her son is 22 now ). Give it a try ....don´t give up too soon .... when i look at you both - you fit together ;-)
🤣 She's a sales lady buddy, that's her job. We just having a laugh. I don't have time for more ladies William, I already have enough. Thanks for watching though buddy.
Wayne can you try a good steak 🥩 in one of these videos not the tourist parts I had a good cheap steak 🥩 in Khon khean it was lovely and cheap not processed
Man, you looked like a Druid at the winter solstice, or death warmed up, walking out of that guesthouse! Thai folks have the ability to sleep through just about any noisy commotion. Seriously, they wouldn't bat an eyelid if an angle grinder was cutting steel all night. Warning!! to anyone tempted to buy a cheap bike at this market. If it breaks down on the way home, or even worse, a stolen bike. You won't have a leg to stand on. Seller be long gone.
It wasn't the best nights sleep mate 🤣. Yes, I wouldn't buy a bike without the full once over. I reckon the seller would still be there the following week, but the money will be gone 🤣. I would rather buy one here than Ruamcock I think. But like you said Lars, always a risk.
@WalkAboutWayne Let me know if you want to catch up for a coffee at my favourite Lamphun spot, Terracotta Gardens. My shout. Was thinking I'd bump into you somewhere in Chiangmai last 4 years. Never happened...
The Terracotta Gardens looks like a nice place according to Google Maps, and only 10 minutes from my Airbnb. Think I’ll check it out in the near future.
Not really, there is some burning locally but not much. Worst I've seen in the Hang Dong area recently is 93, PM2.5 was about 32. I think the mask wearing is fear of catching flu or other air born nasties.
Love seeing everyday life in your videos. Thanks 👍🏽
Thanks mate.
Great culture when you look what’s happening in uk now I wish my children were grown up and independent I think I be here myself Wayne

I think if you buy here a motorcycle you need to bring someone thai who is a mechanic Wayne
G'Day Wayne, mate you had me crying from the intro, just love it mate. Great work.
🤣 Thanks buddy!

Cheers Dan. yes, that's what it is really, a flea market. Great market. Thank you buddy.

Thanks mate! Great market.
Wayne , you realise they’ve placed a gps tracker on Lucille. They’re onto ya mate
That’s why New York comes to the buffalo market. Lol
Keep em coming
🤣🤣 Thanks mate.
Great market.
Looks like a cool day trip if you dont mind catching the 5am #9 train from Lampang.
Nice!

Thank you! I'm not sure what a Buffalo goes for, that would be good to know. Take it easy, man.
I was there two weeks ago, bought oversizesd shorts to sleep in. Saw 5-6 farangs/westeners.
Back in Sweden now, had 34 sunny days.
Happy Days! IT'S A GREAT MARKET.
Hey Wayne, great vlog.
How far is that market from downtown Chiang Mai like the Duangtawan hotel area?
Thanks 🙏
Thanks. About 35 minutes from Chiang Mai.
Thank you !!!
👍👍

Nice vid mate,..
Shame about the gaff,... I'd be all to buggery without some decent beauty sleep 💤,...
Do you ever see any Vespa's (gts) ??
Cheers mate. Yeah, not the best nights sleep. Sure, lots of Vespas around Chiang Mai.
Coolio 😎 🛵💨
That's a cracking market, got the lot!
If they don't sell it there you don't need it 😁
That's right mate, this place has everything.
Aww mate you gotta be prepared for a noisy night in those cheap places eh.
Busy little market in the morning good to see some life there.
Stay safe bro stay safe
Yep, it's not a 6.2 rating for nothin🤣. The market is a Bobby Dazzler.
Hello Wayne, what is the name of this market ? Thanks
All in the video. It's called Buffalo Market.
I'm surprised that you didn't get a date 😂
???

Thanks Michael. I already have videos on my channel of the process of buying a bike. Cheers buddy.
Wayne I admire you riding only a 125cc. Myself I I’d get at least a 160 click!
I wouldn’t get another Click mate. No problems on the 125 with one person. 2 people she struggles. If I could go back, I wouldn’t get a click at all.
@ what bike would you choose Wayne?
I am definitly going here coming November !
Well worth a visit
Very nice
👍👍👍
The Boat might have been rocking compared to your hotel? The Yamaha PG-1, too slow or too many gears mate?
Yeah, I reckon the boat would have been better 🤣. Never really looked at the Yamaha PG-1 mate.
Maybe the hotel is just for locals for a one night Humpty Dumpty 🫣🤔🤩 - the market is a ripper - it’s a wonder it’s not open more than one day - Nice work WW 👌✔️😎👍🙏
Alot of the factory workers stay here, but alot of Humpty Dumpty aswell I reckon. The market is a dazzler mate. Cheers Ant.
Hi Wayne. I hope to be in Chiang Mai on Feb 2. Do you think the s one may be getting bad?
Nobody knows what it will be like , I would say early Feb will be ok though.
Hi Wayne if you had no budget what bike would you buy yourself in Thailand? Also how much would it be in Baht?
Nothing flashy mate, I would buy a 160 or 350 Honda ADV. About 180,000 Baht for the 350.
@@WalkAboutWayne cheers mate

G'day Wayno, l hate wearing earplugs when I sleep but sometimes you gotta in Thailand 😂
So true, I’ve worn mine nearly every night for the past 6 months in my condo .
@@WalkAboutWayne 🤣🤣oh that sucks mate😪
Always have earplugs wherever you travel
Never normally mate. Never like wearing them in new places.
Jeez, Wayne-- you've looked at some cheap places before but jeez-- that place is depressing!!
I wouldn't go that far, the room was actually not bad, with free breakfast and coffee. It would help if the tap and toilet worked though 🤣
You might find yourself a nice country girl here, if you're not careful 😍
Happy Days mate.
Wayne can you try a good steak 🥩 in one of these videos not the tourist parts I had a good cheap steak 🥩 in Khon khean it was lovely and cheap not processed
I could get a steak at some point mate.
Cheap and noisy 😂😂nice market you got saved this time mate no kebabs 😂
No kebabs , thank god 🤣
Time to buy a nice pair of noise cancelling headphones? Although sleeping with it isn't always easy.
I just use normal ear plugs most of the time. I don't like wearing them though.
Ah, on road 108
👍👍
Sounds like a Gloucester boy.
I'm a Devonian
@@WalkAboutWayne I was close lol
Wayne... Tyson Fury is retiring. Maybe you and him can give a.exibition in C.M. I will be in your corner, of ciurse.
Sign me up mate! I won't turn down $10 mill

Noticed a lot of people wearing masks. Air quality an issue right now?

It has been high some days but as Jaidee mentioned, people wear them for all different reasons.
You pay for what you get 😢Wayne at least you know now Wayne hope your not to tired
That's right mate. I still think its a good deal.
Don't tell the tourists about this place!
To late buddy 👍
Great find
👍👍
No where else in the world could you buy a Buffalo and motorbike.
🤣 True
Sounds like a terrible hotel
It wasn't the best nights sleep.
