Mary was able to take care of Peter and Eli just shows how her health has changed. She was just doing what Peter had done for many years . Can’t even imagine what it would be like if Mary hadn’t started Trikafta.
So happy to hear you are doing well and that your cases were mild. I remember 2 1/2 years ago when you were both so sick. And thank you Mary for popping in at the end of Fridays video and letting us know you were okay.
I remember when you both were so sick 2 1/2 years ago. When Covid showed up shortly after that I firmly believed you guys had it. Glad you're all feeling better!
As an asthmatic, I was able to tolerate Covid at home. I felt like I had allergies 🤧, I swear that’s how it started. I had like a raw feeling throat and then it continued into a feeling of a sinus infection. Was achy 🤕 for the first 6 hrs. No fever. Great pullsox. Was put on a Z-Pack as well. Got through it. Thank God. I’m scared of it, but less now that I’ve gotten it and appreciate my antibodies from the shots and having it.
Mary... You are a walking miracle... Imagine this a couple of years ago... The Creator has put his arms around you Big Time... ! Just take it easy folks... You have to give yourself time to get over this... I'm still coughing a month later... Much love and get well soon hugs xxx from Tasmania
Mine I had headaches everyday, fever, and unfortunately I got pneumonia in both lungs. Day 10 was when I found out. So just be aware if your fever doesn’t go away. I have diabetes and a cancer survivor so my body is complicated
Elijah just gets cuter every day! Sorry you all have Covid. Seems everyone on TH-cam channels are getting it. I haven't gotten it so far. My neighbor next door had a mild case and got an Rx antiviral from her doc by way of Walgreens. Another neighbor had it two years ago. A relative of mine had it but it was mild too. But, otherwise, no other cases in my little retired world! Take care you all and thanks for your update and the joy you share with your viewers! 🌞
Hi Mary! I just wanted to write you a note. Your videos always give me hope. My husband and I just tested positive for Covid and just seeing you, Peter, and Elijah walk through it just gives me peace. Only a sore throat and headaches for me. Congestion and coughing for my husband. Any way just wanted to share that with you. Love you all! Hope you’re doing well.
So glad y'all are doing well during this sick time. You have had some horrible sick times before & thank God for your new CF meds to get a more normal feeling to be able to do more now that the baby is here. God Bless!!!
My brother just tested positive on Sunday. My dad, like Mary, is high risk and had emergency back in March. Thankfully he’s been negative. My brother feels like you did, Peter.
My husband and I have been sick for three weeks now. You get up and think; I'm feeling pretty good today....then go to the bathroom and brush your teeth, haha! Sick again. I'm sick of being sick. Take care and hope that little guy doesn't get sick. I think we all got it from our two-year-old great-granddaughter; on Memorial Day, all the kids were here to swim and have a bonfire, hotdogs, and s’mores… a fun day, and we have been sick since.
Thanks, Mary for your encouragement at the end. I've been watching you guys since Scotland...kangaroo kinder egg, anyone? ;) I was diagnosed with COVID last week, have been inpatient for a week. It's weeks like this where one is reminded how much they long for Heaven. For some reason TH-cam recommended your "first transplant conversation" video, and I came across that song "Set My Heart"... Quiet the voice of doubt again Echo within me every promise Let your Word be louder than my fears Speak to the void when I can't see Lift up my head in every valley Let your joy be greater than my grief Thanks for your encouragement over the years. You have no idea how many people it's helped.
Glad you guys are on the mend just take it easy that’s the key to Covid. And you’ll feel better then feel bad again for me and my family the tired and fatigue lasted the longest. So hang in there Frey Family. Take care my friends I enjoy the videos.💙🙏🏼🤙🏼🌺
I remember how sick you both were 2 yrs ago, and also think you had covid. So glad this time is nothing like that and praying you all have a speedy recovery🙏😊
My daughter is at one end of the house and I’m at the other. She tested positive Sunday morning. She’s an adult so I’m not neglecting her.🤣 I have lupus and am trying not to get it. I hope none of us catch it. 💜💜
My man's son had covid under my roof. He was in living room and rest of us were in the bedrooms. My dad told me to take 4 to 5 vit d gummies and 4 zinc tabs. We remained covid free. Prayers for speedy recovery
Adult son and I both had Covid in early February of this year. I was worried about my husband that was only a week post opt from total knee replacement surgery. My husband never caught it. But all 3 of us had Covid in February of 2021. Both times we recovered without any complications other than a stuffy head, headache, body aches and fever.
I have lupus as well love , haven't got Covid had pneumonia n sepsis n was hospitalized some level I felt this was worst then having 2022 level of Covid it's was the worst
Please take care of your self’s. My daughter who is 38 ended up with Covid she did not know it was Covid. She was in the hospital and Covid ruined her kidneys and many more problems. She now will have to have a kidney transplant. Please call your dr’s if things change. God Bless.
I’m so sorry! 🙏 for your daughter to get a kidney transplant soon, that it goes well, and for her return to good heath. This virus is frightening in how it can affect people.
My family just had COVID too, including myself and it was SO mild that I couldn’t believe that I had it. Thank God! It wasn’t pleasant by any means don’t get me wrong m, i was very uncomfortable, stuffed up, achy and tired but as we’ve seen with others that have had it- it can be SO much worse and I pray for those people and their families . I’m so glad that your family had it mild too! Take care of yourself and each other (I know you will!) 💜💜💜
I think you had it 2,5 years ago. Testing is and has been weird at times.... I'm so glad you are fine, Mary! Your little one is adorable! Much love to you guys!
I was watching 2 1/2 yrs ago...my husband and I had a terrible bout of the flu 🤧...it was the worst I'd ever ever felt...don't know if we had covid either. So glad you're doing ok.
COVID is in our household right now. We are trying so hard to make sure our son, who has Spinal Muscular Atrophy, does not contract it. So happy to hear you are doing well. Prayers for you all.
I remember when you guys got sick 2 and a half years ago. It was horrible just you guys barely being able to get out of bed. I also remember it was the first Mary you had in antibiotics after starting tricafta and I remember being proud of your body for letting you not be on iv antibiotics every other week anymore ☺️.
Glad you guys are on the mend! Keep taking care of yourselves and take it easy. My family and I had Covid Thanksgiving of 2021 and I still get wiped out super easily and I have had a headache every single day since we had it..I pray you guys have no long lasting issues!!
Glad you are feeling good! I’m on day 4. My first round as well. Mainly sinus and fatigue, like Peter. My 18 year old went to Puerto Rico with Girl Scouts and brought it home. My husband lost his taste and smell on his day 5. That’s gotta be weird!
We were all sick recently, like really sick , I was certain it was COVID and it was not. I never need antibiotics and I actually needed them for a lingering sinus infection I couldn't kick for weeks. It's a good reminder there's a lot of nastiness out there and it's not all COVID
Take it easy. Take all the time you need to get back on your feet no rush, your body is gonna need to take all the time you need. It's gonna get better I promise.
I do feel y’all had it that time 2 1/2 yrs ago. I think we’ve had it three times but have never tested positive. All times were considerably mild. My husband has antibodies but never tested positive. I’ve never had mine tested. Only reason he had his tested is he donates blood every so often. So glad you did well with it and are completely recovered.
Prayers for speedy recoveries. My husband tested positive this morning. We're both double boosted. He is hibernating in his man cave (haha). Love to you all.
It was also about two and a half years ago that my boyfriend and I were sicker than ever they didn't really have a covid test out back then and I remember my doctor thinking it was the flu I said this does not feel like the flu to me. We were both on the couch for about a month and then when they finally had an antibody test it was way far past the time and we tested negative but they said to just assume that we probably did have it. And then when my boyfriend tested positive just a couple months ago with the ba2 variant we didn't even think originally that he had it because it was so different for him. It's changed so much. Right now he's dealing with the after effects which is something like air hunger and being out of energy so quickly then it messed with his diabetes which we're still trying to figure out.
People that have health problems need to be very careful and listen to your body if you get Covid-19. I had Covid-19 in the middle of May and I still have the cough and its August 9. I went to a pulmonologist and he said it can take up to 6 months for this cough to go away.
Looking forward to seeing the "new" working room! Eli is ADORABLE💕 2 of our 3 grand children (7&11) took sick over the weekend and tested Covid + this morning at Dr. They are so sick, its heartbreaking😥 So unfortunately they will miss their 1st couple days of school, which starts Thursday Aug 11th God bless u'all see you soon
I had Covid-19 the same time as your family. I had sinus headaches and horrible cough first off and tested negative. One day of fever of 100.1 and then tested positive. No one around my family got it but cases are going crazy in WNC as in the RDU area. The first video I watched was when you both were sick in 2020. I was sure y’all had COVID. The different strains of COVID can be so different. The first strain I had over Christmas 2020 to New Year 2021, I was in the ICU on a ventilator (UK name for respirator), my Dad was being monitored remotely at home & although not as unwell, my Mum was really unwell, but just about managing. The second one our family (everyone exceot my parents, so my brother, niece, cousin, nephew, etc.) had over last Christmas & New Year was so mild. I just had a feeling of needing to sneeze, but being unable to for three or four days. The third time I had COVID over Easter (which was on my birthday), I felt dreadfiul, but was able to manage at home without needing to be monitored. My Dad was slightly worse, but didn't need to be monitored. My Mum was the most ill, but still managed at home. So it's entirely likely that you did have COVID before; my educated opinion would be that you did. For context, I'm also a health scientist.
my family has had it 2weeks ( 2 out of 3 are asthmatics ) but now we just have the cough. my oldest son who works feels great in 1 week. i came down with it first with a tickle in the throat tested 2nd day it was negative then 3 days later i tested again and it was immediate postive then i tested my boys(grown men sons ) came down wth it) we two that have asthma are longer lasting. Bless yall and prayers
I remember y'all were so sick before that I was scared for you. It was easy to believe that that was a misdiagnosis and that you did indeed have covid. Like you say, it doesn't really matter, but hopefully you were better able as a result to have milder cases in July. Love y'all, and appreciate the joy you bring to all of us from grandmas to young folks.... I can only imagine what a blessing you are to those with chronic illness as they are encouraged by and learn from your experiences. Looking forward to seeing what the latest is with the work room. You need to do a timeline of how its spot has changed over the years. Seems like you've gone back and forth, but maybe some of those times you changed your mind and didn't move it after all. Anyway, it would be fun to re-visit its "history" :-)
Aww. We had covid in January. Our oldest son caught it at school it was the milder Omicron so someone probably thought it was a cold and sent their kid to school. Five days later the other three of us in the house tested positive. I have asthma so I was the sickest of all of us but we all remained at home, no hospital.
I still think y’all had Covid 2.5 years ago! You were both so sick and it was RIGHT when the pandemic was starting! But God only knows! So glad it’s mild now 💜
I am sick with Covid right now, This is my Second time having it. My first time my back hurt, my head hurt, I was so tired, Little cough, Runny nose. This time is different. Im not achy, No headache, and Im stuffy in the morning but all clear after an hour. Im able to work out! I have been taking Brom Sudafed. My 3 year old through a fever for the first day, wakes up kinda nasally or drainage but after that seems find. Im glad you guys are doing okay.
What you had 2 and 1/2 years ago… I too kept testing negative and it sounded like what you described back then. I was tested later too see if I had antibodies and I did. I got tested positive for the new european strand of Covid 3 weeks ago. Nowhere near what I had back then.
I truly believe that lots of people including my husband and myself had covid before it was really even being talked about here in the US... i was sick for a whole month and the cough lingered for months after.. i had covid 7/11/22 and it was like the flu
Mary was able to take care of Peter and Eli just shows how her health has changed. She was just doing what Peter had done for many years . Can’t even imagine what it would be like if Mary hadn’t started Trikafta.
probably would have needed the double transplant and very unlikely they'd been able to adopt... it doesn't bear thinking about eh!
@thefreylife it seems like Mary is doing so well with Tricafta and it’s making sicknesses much better. You look amazing Mary
I’m loving Elijah’s smiles in this video. Glad you’re doing well.

I'm watching this for some reassurance. My husband tested positive 9- 23 and I just tested positive also. The body aches and chills are no joke.
Doubled my vitamin C,D, and Zinc along with my Daily vitamin. Cut my sickness to total 5 days. Hope and pray you are healthy now.👍🏻🙏😊

@@mhelen7360 thank you so much! Yes we’re both clear of the virus, just dealing with its lingering after effects. xxxxx
Feel better
Love and prayers you guys! 💛🙏🕯
What you had 2 and 1/2 years ago… I too kept testing negative and it sounded like what you described back then. I was tested later too see if I had antibodies and I did. I got tested positive for the new european strand of Covid 3 weeks ago. Nowhere near what I had back then.
Hope y'all feel better
Mary can you inform us how many Covid shots you took. Both shots and two boosters?

My first time having COVID. All I had was cold basically. Had it over new years.... So much coughing!!!
I truly believe that lots of people including my husband and myself had covid before it was really even being talked about here in the US... i was sick for a whole month and the cough lingered for months after.. i had covid 7/11/22 and it was like the flu
Love ❤ & -Prayers 🙏 🤲 🙏
Omg! Elijah loves his Mommyn and Daddy so much! His smile when you guys kiss him....priceless!
My COVID experience in May was having night sweats for about a week after the 1st few days of illness & exhaustion for about 2 weeks.
