    As a tint installer it would be nice to see a 20 and 40 inch roll(less waste for most cars). And as a ppf installer I don’t really want to go through the hoops of immortal so I rather just stay with stek and opticle. The black ppf is super intriguing and may need to get some.

      Thanks for your feedback! Agreed we would love a smaller roll and imagine once we sell enough and have a market for this product that CARPRO will offer it.

      We agree with you on the tint! We are trying to talk with CARPRO in having a single car option or a smaller role in general. And getting involved with Immortal is actually very easy! If you are working with both of those companies already, you will likely already qualify for immortal PPF. All you need to do is fill out an application for Immortal. If you are interested. Give our office a call or send an email and we can send you the application, or answer any questions you might have. We don't require you give up your other films either so you could always just ADD Immoral to your existing offerings. 386-259-0759 - Service@carpro-us.com

    For DQuartz Go, will it gain a lot of benefits from installing 2 layers? I know CarPro says one layer is sufficient but can be layered. I know from experience that CQ UK 3.0 definitely benefits from 2 layers vs 1 but CarPro also recommends 2 or even up to 3 layers on that product.
    If going with just 2 layers, would it be best to do 2 layers of DQ Go or 1 layer of DQ Go and a layer of CQ SiC on top?
    I would guess that CarPro has tested all of this and has the answers, but I could be wrong. Thanks!

    • @SkyCarCare
      @SkyCarCare  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi Aaron, thanks for the questions! CARPRO has tested as have many of us but we have not all tested every possibility in every environment long term so I would answer as follows: Yes, applying 2 coats of DQ GO will be stronger than 1. If your goal is to have the most slick surface then (based on the sample I tested) you would put the Sic on the DQ Go. Having said that, the production version may have some more slickness than what I have tested. We will see when production version arrives next week.

      @@SkyCarCare Thanks! For sure, real world testing will always dictate the outcome better and only time will tell. I'm really looking forward to using DQ Go. Does slickness actually benefit much in the real world? I've installed many coatings that are much slicker than CQ UK 3.0 but they typically aren't as durable it seems like. They self clean better and a few less things stick to them which is nice but I haven't noticed anything crazy. Slickness is nice and all and in theory it should cut down on wash related marring too, but with good wash techniques I haven't any issues with coatings that aren't as slick. UK 3.0 is just a fantastic consumer coating that I find outlasts carpro's claims. What's your take on it? I know SiC has other benefits as well other than just slickness. Does DQ Go have a similar PH range to DQuartz (2-14)?
      On my work truck, I'm ~2 ½ years in and that coating (2 layers of CQ UK 3.0) gets very abused from our northern Canadian winters and all the mud in the spring and summer. Last winter I was only able to wash it twice in a 5 month period due to the brutal cold and being that it sits outside all of its life. The coating is still there. Does it bead like the first month? Nope, but it still has very respectable hydrophobic properties and cleans up nicely. I'll polish it up in the spring and re- coat it. I'm really intrigued by this DQuartz Go coating.

      @@aaronolsen8787 I could not agree more! I could care less about slickness! I have noticed ZERO affect of "slickness to the human touch" on its actual functional properties. People like how it feels to touch the paint but I don't touch mine unless I have a crazy pile towel between it and my hand :). However, almost everyone I sell coatings to wants it slick... no matter how many times I explain this :). For sure I love for things to be truly slick (in other words for things to slide off) but CQUARTZ UK does that GREAT. What is slick to the human senses in our fingers is not what is slick to the car. Its more of an oily or waxy feel people want so it will FEEL slick to them... But as far as leaves and dirt and wash mitts are concerned, they slide right over that UK even if there is no Reload or SIC on it. I agree with you as well that UK outlasts CARPRO claims no question. If someone takes good care of it then it lasts 4+ years even on a daily driver.

      @aaronolsen8787 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@SkyCarCare Agreed! I don't know what it is about people always wanting to touch paint with their hands. It drives me nuts when people ask how our vehicles look so clean and glossy and I tell them that a good ceramic coating really helps with that and their first instinct is to rub their hands across the paint. Typically the vehicles aren't even "clean" when they do this, so I definitely have some marring and love marks from other people touching the paint. Lol. Oh well, it's just a vehicle at the end of the day, I just try to take as good of care of it as I can. I'm really curious as to whether or not DQUARTZ Go can help at all with reducing that marring with the integration of Nano Diamonds.
      CQ UK 3.0 definitely does a great job of filling the microscopic pores of the paint to make it "smooth" that's for sure. Just a really great coating overall. Do you know if DQ Go is a Polysilazane, Silicon Dioxide, Silicon Carbide, Silicon Nitride, Polysiloxane or multiples of them or even none of the above, based coating with the integration of the nano diamonds? Or does CarPro not really disclose the chemistry of it?

    • @SkyCarCare
      @SkyCarCare  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@aaronolsen8787 It is multiples of them but the Polysiloxane is the only one of those you mentioned that they are required to disclose on the SDS sheet.

    Can you use gyeon primer as base coat then CarPro d quartz and can you put c quartz sic over the top as topper

    • @SkyCarCare
      @SkyCarCare  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No, with DQUARTZ you will want to polish with Reflect or something which has no fillers like the gyeon primer does. Use like CARPRO Reflect and then eraser and then DQUARTZ GO.

      I am assuming you mean "Why can you not purchase ClariPhobic in California?" If that was your question then the answer is because it has more than 3% alcohol in the product and Cali classifies this as a glass cleaner and does not allow 3% or more alcohol in glass cleaners.

    Excellent run down. I am still learning the car pro line up but default to your company to learn the line. Question for you: I recently purchased a BMW X5 and it was built with what BMW is calling Sensafin. Not exactly sure if it is considered some new synthetic leather or whatever, but how is your organization approaching cleaning and care of this material? Should I still use leather care products? Since the vehicle is still so new, I simply have been using inside and inside qd. However I want to know if I should be applying some sort of leather conditioner or using a leather cleaner. Your advice would be highly appreciated so as I go forth and continue the maintenance on the vehicle I don’t end up using a product causing damage. Again thanks for the advice in advance.

    • @SkyCarCare
      @SkyCarCare  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Good Morning! Sensafin is a synthetic leather. We recommend Ultima interior guard plus for protecting this interior. That in combination with their interior shampoo gel (for cleaning) work excellent on all interior surfaces other than glass.
