Secrets out...CarPro knocked it out of the park with WheelX finally after not having a dedicated wheel cleaner. Awesome demonstrations Corey...nailed it!
This is the best new product from Carpro this year in my opinion. Works awesome on nasty wheels! Can’t wait to see how it handles the winter from up here in MN.
Great demo. I’ve been using Tuga based on your recommendation and now I’m looking forward to trying WheelX. I use CarPro products almost exclusively on my car (always purchased through Sky’s the Limit!) and I am always very happy with the results. I’m sure WheelX will be excellent just like all other CarPro products.
Thank you SOOOOO much for your support! We really appreciate you and so happy to hear our recommendations are working out! Fyi, we will also have TUGA back in all sizes by February and issues should finally be over with their (TUGA's) anxiety over the labels lol. They finally got our orders shipping out to us again.
Hey Cory, great video one.. thing I don’t think you mentioned .. was using this on wheels that have been ceramic coated as I believe this would probably start to break down the coating..
Thank you! Hmmm, I did mention coatings but maybe didn't make it past editing if I botched something else in close proximity to it. I believe, and also according to CARPRO it is safe on CQUARTZ coatings. It is pH 5.6 so should not be an issue if used as directed.
Great review and demo Corey. I bought WheelX but haven't had the chance to use it yet. How safe is it on coatings ? Specifically on DLux ? I've coated my OEM wheels used for winter, and they've been cured for a good week inside before putting them on. We have lots of salt, calcium, dirt and such in our winters here 🙃🙃
Excellent, Thank you! No problem on Dlux - the key is to make sure its a cool wet surface before application and not let it dry. It does not need long to work. Just brush and rinse / or rinse it before it starts to dry at all. You might try also Descale as a Snow foam on those wheels if they are covered in minerals every week. Either should help with mineral buildup like you have.
Good to see you back on the channel. Seems like a very long time! Great interview with Frank last week on Thor. I reached out to Avi about this and he, like you recommends this when sufficient build up of dust or 3 to 4 weeks but in between he recommended IronX snow soap for weekly cleans as this contains the active ingredient too but PH neutral! So, thats in the basket. What does snowsoap smell like?
Thank you! Yes, it has been way too long and happy to get time to shoot videos again. Appreciate the comments and feedback on all. Snow Soap smells mildly like IronX.
@SkyCarCare That would be cool Corey. You should do a video with Avi? Much like the interview you had with Frank. It would be so cool to learn how Carpro as a business was starting and how Avi got into it, too. As always, I am very much looking for more content from you. I don't mind if Snow Soap smells a little like IronX. It's will be mostly used for the wheels and occasionally on the car bodywork. Have a great Christmas out in the US with your family. We're probably doing the exact same thing across the pond 🇬🇧. Take care!
@@79blustone Thats a REALLY cool idea! I am making a note to get that done! Avi is a little shy if that is the right word or maybe better to say he is humble and likes to do the business without taking much credit but I will tell him people would LOVE to see and hear him and see if we can do it! Merry Christmas my friend! Cheers!
@SkyCarCare Avi has a lot to be in credit for. He's not only built a business, he's built a following, a passion for cars that are maintained to the highest levels. Both of you really have inspired and got us all into professional detailing, and Avi's products have made other brands keep on their toes. You both have created a following. I just think that inspiration should be documented 😎
Sandro from Car Craft Auto Detailing tested this with a digital pH meter and it came out to 3.4 and your test strip came out to 6, why such a big variation?
Hmmmm, great question! The most likely possibilities are: A. - One of us shook the bottle more than the other. B. - The digital meter was not calibrated or else gave a defective reading. C. - My paper test strips are expired. Now I am curious to get to the bottom of what is accurate. I will take 2 more readings now and test another more acidic product to verify the test strips are working.
Hey Corey, need some help with Clarify Phobic please. Ive tried using it twice so far. It leaves a foggy smeary mess on the glass that takes quite a bit of work to remove. Can you offer any suggestions what might be going on? Ive seen similar reviews written about this issue. Thx
Absolutely, I would love to help. Have you seen my short video on applying it wet? Thats how I have always done it and I do not get so much as a single streak. Short tips in general would be: 1. - Use it as a sealant after the glass is already clean rather than a cleaner and sealant in one. 2. - Use it only on cool surfaces with a cool interior and outside of the sun. 3. - Use a wet applicator or wipe off with a wet cloth. No lets rewind and keep it super simple... This is how I use it. I wash my car with Reset and rinse it. While the windshield is still and freshly wetted from my hose I spray a couple sprays on one side of the glass and then buff it in and off of the wet glass with a 2 face towel. Then I go to the opposite side of the windshield and do the same. For windows I do one window at a time. That should solve it. Let me know if not.
@@SkyCarCarethx. It was doing my head in, as i was going by the instructions and i was getting huge foggy spots that i had to spray rinseless wash onto and buff it off. Also read a comment on that video of yours that said to apply dry and buff with damp towel. Ill try that too. Its disappointing that different methods have to be used to achieve the desired result. Carpro need to revise their instructions if people have to come up with their own methods of applying and removing. Ive got many glass cleaners and none leave a heavy haze like this does. I only ever clean glass when cool and in shade. Cheers
@@rooboy99 My pleasure! For sure we do tend to find better methods of application that we lay out on our website but I'm sure its hard to fit all that on a label in the needed detail. One thing you said caught my eye. You mention specifically about glass cleaners and I think that might be the root of it. This is more of a glass sealant imo. For a glass cleaner I would choose Clarify instead. That is a dedicated glass cleaner. For sure, maybe CARPRO could make it more clear that Clarify Phobic is only meant for very light cleaning as its mostly a sealant. As far as the apply dry and buff off with damp towel that will certainly help but I think nothing easier than applying wet. Either should work though with a bit of tweaking on work area size of its not wet.
It is. It has the indicator chemistry. Usually, rim cleaner and iron remover are very similar to each other and only slightly differ in formulation. Manufacturers usually don't re-invent the wheel for these things.

Hi Corey. So far one of the very best i've used is Bilt Hamber's Auto Wheel Cleaner. Have you tried that?
Hello! No, I have not used it. Its very difficult to get Bilt Hamber here in the usa but I love TUGA wheel cleaner. You should check that out as well.

Tested few time on Dlux coated and no damage done! , just dont leave it too long or over 2 min over your wheel.

Still waiting for this hew in New Zealand.

Ok... We have found verification. The exact pH is 5.7. Sandros meter must have been off

so it's not deironizer ?
It is. It has the indicator chemistry. Usually, rim cleaner and iron remover are very similar to each other and only slightly differ in formulation. Manufacturers usually don't re-invent the wheel for these things.
Will this remove ceramic coating?
@@RichJ_youtube slightly acidic wheel cleaner or iron remover will not remove a true ceramic coating. It will remove spray-on stuff, though.
@@RichJ_youtube It will not remove a durable proper ceramic coating when used as directed.
It is an Iron remover AND wheel cleaner on one. So it dissolves the brake dust just like IronX but ALSO dissolves other dirts and stuff better.
