All of these irrational fears that LEOs keep bringing up will never come to pass. This proven by simply looking at the states that already have "Constitutional Carry". None have any of the problems that cops in Louisiana say will happen. "Shall Not Be Infringed"!

Crimminals do not follow carry permit laws why should the law abiding need a permit

First off, congrats Louisiana for being the 28th Constitutional carry state! This bill will have no effect on "allowing" criminal type people to carry. Criminals do not follow laws anyway. Before the bill passed, you've had criminals carrying regardless. This just gives people their 2nd Amendment rights to carry a firearm. If anything, crime will start going down. An armed society is a polite society.
The minute this is passed, crime will go down. Criminals hate knowing that anyone around them could push their off button.
I don’t like the age of 18 thing though. Tell me this does that mean you can legally purchase a handgun at 18 if this pass?
apply that same thinking to driving a car. imagine the amount of accidents with no registration, insurance, of understanding how to drive. problems will happen

Do you have a problem with 18 year Olds serving in the military ???? If they are old enough to die for our country they are old enough to enjoy all the rights of the country including the 2nd Ammendment..

It's past time for Ralph to retire to Spain, where he can live gun free. Ralph should do some actual research about how other states with constitutional carry laws are doing in regard to violent crimes. It has been a success everywhere that it has gone into law. Criminals don't obey laws Ralph only law-abiding citizens do, so criminals will still concealed carry, but good guys still wouldn't be able to like now. You're old enough to know that by now Ralph smh.

I agree. This feels way too lax and simple. As long as we don’t have to pay up to $500 just to carry a weapon and don’t have to wait almost a year to get a permit.

No. And that's as someone who has taken the class. Everyone who carries should get training because it ups your chances of survival, but the problem with state mandated training or "proof of range time" is it is absolutely garbage. The current acceptable standard for the permit is atrocious. If you stay in the confines of the silhouette it's a pass. And while I stated that everyone should, it has been proven time and time again that a high level isn't always necessary to defend yourself with a firearm.
Secondly, why should a person who can serve in the military, is able to vote, be charhed as adult in court and expected to pay taxes be afforded any less rights than someone 3 years older?

Are journalists required to give honest reporting to exercise free press, obviously not if you watch the local news, are you required to take classes in law to exercise your 5th Ammendment ? The answer is no because it is OUR right to have and the 2nd Ammendment is is not a secondary right..
