Yes, Floor was changing into her skirt costume during this fun instrumental break. One funny note is that Floor had a wardrobe malfunction and had a hard time getting the zipper under her arm fully zipped. The next song "Bless the Child" opened up and she raced on stage at the last second, took a swipe at the mike, missed, but managed to grab it in time to sing her opening lyric. Thanks again for this.
They haven't done instrumentals in concerts for a while. Floor doesn't do major outfit changes either, maybe takes off her jacket or something. But they have some songs with a little longer instrumentals before she sings, so she can go backstage and do whatever she needs :)
They're called ulean pipes, which are also called Irish pipes. Ulean is Gaelic for elbow because they are not blown into to inflate a bag which is squeezed like Scottish bagpipes, but use a bellows which is operated by the elbow to supply the pipes directly with air.
You need to see this in Helsinki 2012 and also the video of this from various concerts...and also Moondance Helsinki 2012 ...Floors first concert in Finland.
I think in older shows, they did do a number of different covers in the mid concert break, but Tuomas I guess decided to write an instrumental they could use. Pink Floyd's High Hopes was one of those mid concert covers. I know I have seen others in some older fan videos.
I know you enjoy different versions of songs. This is a version with vocals although I believe they are Finnish.🤘🎸 th-cam.com/video/rA-XIXy5vw4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=x3nvRYvdFvn2QZ34
