Welp, I wasn't expecting to cry while watching a video of people playing drums today, but here we are.
An amazing tribute. Everyone involved, thank you for this.
Me too
Ditto.
Rest easy Bryan. you’d prefer an astronaut has such a powerful place in my heart and life.
My friend and drummer, introduced me to
HUM in 1998, he died 3 months after Inlet came out, and shortly before Matt died. We used to cover Stars and that first fill will ALWAYS make me think of Ryan Q. Miss you buddy.
Bryan... not Matt.
Now this is really cool....
Bryan was my favorite drummer in my favorite band. He was creative but not showy, powerful but sensitive, perfect for the music. I remember convincing my teenage band to cover I'd Like Your Hair Long just because I wanted to play his parts live. RIP to the best and condolences to his family and the HUM family.
I played along to the first two Hum records so much during my formative years as a drummer, getting to be an IDC colleague of his, however briefly, was a dream I never knew I had. So this was a truly special thing to be a part of. Rest In Power, Bryan ❤️❤️❤️
Elektra 2000 is great, but I've always heard Filet Show isn't anything special. Maybe that's not the case?
@@Shoeg4zer lol welp thank you for that. Ya know, I have known about those two records for a long time…but I didn’t in the beginning when I was a kid, and still now accidentally think of of Astronaut and Downward Is Heavenward as their first two albums. Those were the first two I was aware of and thus the two I was referring to.
Loved this. RIP Bryan.
How beautiful, and what passion you all show. Stars indeed. Thank you, Bryan.
Rest In Peace kind sir! Your drumming was something I’ll never forget seeing live! I will miss you!
Very cool tribute to one of the very best to ever do it. RIP Bryan 🙏🏼
Truly excellent tribute.
This made me cry. Well done. Speechless.
Mad respect to anybody who had something to do with this. Thank you. A million thank yous.
Bryan is and forever shall be a badass drummer! One of my heroes ! I am a fellow skinsmith - as bryan once put it- and met the man many moons ago. It was an honor
Rad drummer. Got to see them a couple times live. Amazing.
This is a beautiful thing!!
Love this. Thanks IDC
Really beautiful tribute. RIP Bryan.
I’m so sad to discover Bryan after he’s passed. He is a huge influence in my playing style now, and i will forever cherish his work!
Great tribute! RIP Bryan.
Wow-a tribute as powerful as Bryan’s drumming. Beautiful, joyful, bittersweet. Thanks for making this.
Awesome job guys
This is epic. R.I.P. Bryan :(
Amazing tribute!
I didn't realize how huge an influence Bryan was on my drumming until I listened back to some of my first recordings with my band. Then it clicked just how much he'd shaped the way I play. I was thrilled when the band dropped Inlet in 2020 and devastated when he passed, he and Hum will always mean a lot to me.
Well done everyone! Bryan was also my favorite drummer
Only getting into this band recently, they're amazing! Sorry to hear about this RIP Bryan thanks for the inspiration.
😭…….. so good 🖤 so so fuckin good. Thank you for doing this. 🙏
This is incredible.
So fuckin cool. Thanks for this!
❤
💗✨💗✨💗
I love all these drummers but not one of them played with the intensity that Bryan played with.
The dummies who continued to hit the cymbals after the first beat 🤦🏽 would have liked to hear everyone’s drums not just the studio recording. Some dudes were playing hihats when there’s no hihats being played lol
Most all of us have posted or will be posting our full versions to our respective Instagram account (and TH-cam for those that have our own channels)
Dude watch Hum play it live, and you might just delete this comment.
