Just Busters are the shit, bro. They were in DMC4 too. You could Buster the Savior's punches in the first fight against Sanctus, and grab Sanctus while he's rushing you with Sparda at the end of the final fight too. It functions similarly to the Buster Arm, since the Breaker itself is a replacement for Nero's natural Buster ability. As for landing it, it's done when the enemy is vulnerable, usually in hitstun, while they're attacking, or from behind them. For bosses, it's usually only used when they're not moving and stunned (it's much easier to tell). Not every enemy fulfills the same criteria for Buster, but basically just experiment and test out when you can and can't Buster (it works in the air as well).

It's awesome all bosses have special animations for the Buster. However, it's disappointing that compared to DMC4, there are no extra animations for DT Buster.
Some of these lines during the busters make them twice as enjoyable! My favorites are *“You ever try BREATH MINTS?!”* and *”I’ll remember your name WHEN I’M DONE WITH YOU!”*
For some bosses, it is true with some minor differences. But Malphas boss fight has a different buster animation when you DT buster her. The mooks are the one that is almost noticeable when you use DT Buster. But still its cool nonetheless. Glad to see Nero still know how to get close and personal with the enemies he face.
I'm glad these are back. I was hoping they were. Although I do think the ones in DMC4 are a little cooler than these seem to be. But they're still pretty cool to have because they add more flavor and unique elements to Nero's fights.
Quick info, when you’re doing the giant swing on Goliath, you can aim where you’re going to toss him, if you YEET him towards the clock tower it’ll do double damage
If you keep pressing the gun button while in Devil Trigger and doing the buster move, it will shoot the projectiles as well doing a little but still more damage
fun thing for fighting Artemis with Nero: during the buster animation, you can use exceed during the animation and rev the sword for even more damage and a longer animation
If any of you my dudes are having a hard time on the Dante vs Vergil fight, I found out that you can cheese him in his human form by jump canceling, right when he finishes his atack animations use stinger to stager him then toss him in the air and press the atack and jump button at the same time also just use sword master because you can deal more damage and it´s easier to press the 3 buttons at the same time, this only if you are using Demon sword Dante if you are using Sparda or Rebellion just press the stile and the jump button, after a few hits Vergil will be send flying and you will have to do this again, when he is in his demon use trickster to dodge until he finishes his animation and use the Kalina to shot him, also if you feel like a champ use royal guard when he uses his yamato combo since I think that is his easiest move to royal block and then use the counter the first time he goes on the air to charge at you.

Johnny Salery I feel like the incantation was just Vergil being dramatic (or that’s just how the Yamato’s splitting power works) I mean yes getting stabbed by the Yamato split him into human and demon but the Yamato also cuts open portals and you don’t see Vergil opening a hole through reality every time he swings it, the splitting thing is probably the same as opening portals you need to want to do it and know how to use the Yamato to do it
DMC in general is just a great fucking game and a great story line. I wasn’t even really supposed to get put on DMC like I was cause I was born in 03 but the best thing my cousin ever did for me was let me play DMC 1 on his Ps2 and I been in love with it ever since. If it wasn’t for DMC, Halo, and Cod I wouldn’t love gaming like I do today. I hope my future kids experience the same joy I feel seeing all the games I grew up on play out and tell these amazing well written stories that make u grow to care for these characters. I hate that my time is limited on this earth cause Ik there is gonna be games that I’ll never get to play that will capture this aspect or story telling even better. Cant wait for the next DMC fr.

I like Nero's new DT but I do miss his nelo Angelo like 'stand' from DMC 4. I wish he had the option to use the Yamato weapon. But storywise I see why it's not available. Nonetheless, cool video!
His Sin Dt Should be both his dt form and his "stand" form combined, constantly spamming out specteral punches/sythes automatically, and grabs doing a shit ton of damage, but because of the dual dt form, the heat buildup would cause hard knockdown on Nero if you don't turn it off, as i don't imagine being able to hold two dts on a normal body.

I'm glad these are back. I was hoping they were. Although I do think the ones in DMC4 are a little cooler than these seem to be. But they're still pretty cool to have because they add more flavor and unique elements to Nero's fights.

Quick info, when you’re doing the giant swing on Goliath, you can aim where you’re going to toss him, if you YEET him towards the clock tower it’ll do double damage
the fact that nero's devil trigger can go toe to toe with vergil's sin devil trigger... Means Nero is much more powerful than we thought
If you keep pressing the gun button while in Devil Trigger and doing the buster move, it will shoot the projectiles as well doing a little but still more damage

Nero players with good timing can buster almost every charging attacks from bosses since 4. I am sure 5 is no different.

It works the same. Press B for normal buster, hold and release for enhanced buster, Same as DT buster
Horacio Cuevas animations are the same but the buster arm deals more damage than the regular buster move
Looks like Nero still has plenty of that teenage angst in him and he's using it to max effect

fun thing for fighting Artemis with Nero: during the buster animation, you can use exceed during the animation and rev the sword for even more damage and a longer animation
If any of you my dudes are having a hard time on the Dante vs Vergil fight, I found out that you can cheese him in his human form by jump canceling, right when he finishes his atack animations use stinger to stager him then toss him in the air and press the atack and jump button at the same time also just use sword master because you can deal more damage and it´s easier to press the 3 buttons at the same time, this only if you are using Demon sword Dante if you are using Sparda or Rebellion just press the stile and the jump button, after a few hits Vergil will be send flying and you will have to do this again, when he is in his demon use trickster to dodge until he finishes his animation and use the Kalina to shot him, also if you feel like a champ use royal guard when he uses his yamato combo since I think that is his easiest move to royal block and then use the counter the first time he goes on the air to charge at you.

I never knew you could grab virgil while hes flying around. And also you can throw the goliath at the clock tower or the building you were in at the beginning of the fight

Some in 4 are better, like the Berial and Bael slams, but the Goliath toss and Malphas beatdown are awesome.

Probably because he ate the Qliphoth Fruit, which is also why he's now at Sin DT level like Dante is, as opposed to normal DT.
Maybe because Vergil needs to stabs himself with the Yamato with the intention to split himself in two
schonatian Vergil did say some sort of incantation before doing so, perhaps black magic was also needed for Yamato to perform the separation.

Johnny Salery I feel like the incantation was just Vergil being dramatic (or that’s just how the Yamato’s splitting power works) I mean yes getting stabbed by the Yamato split him into human and demon but the Yamato also cuts open portals and you don’t see Vergil opening a hole through reality every time he swings it, the splitting thing is probably the same as opening portals you need to want to do it and know how to use the Yamato to do it
DMC in general is just a great fucking game and a great story line. I wasn’t even really supposed to get put on DMC like I was cause I was born in 03 but the best thing my cousin ever did for me was let me play DMC 1 on his Ps2 and I been in love with it ever since. If it wasn’t for DMC, Halo, and Cod I wouldn’t love gaming like I do today. I hope my future kids experience the same joy I feel seeing all the games I grew up on play out and tell these amazing well written stories that make u grow to care for these characters. I hate that my time is limited on this earth cause Ik there is gonna be games that I’ll never get to play that will capture this aspect or story telling even better. Cant wait for the next DMC fr.

Should be both his dt form and his "stand" form combined, constantly spamming out specteral punches/sythes automatically, and grabs doing a shit ton of damage, but because of the dual dt form, the heat buildup would cause hard knockdown on Nero if you don't turn it off, as i don't imagine being able to hold two dts on a normal body.
Mark McGehee nah, if you pay close attention nero’s DT is an initial form to his perfect DT which is the spectral figure from dmc4, his sin DT will likely be an upgraded version of his perfect DT

His spectral form is the weaker one, not the stronger, the Devil trigger Nero bio in 5 calls his normal dt "True power unleashed" implying his old spectral dt was incomplete, and considering what you could do with both forms, the new dt makes way more sence to be the stronger one...
Mark McGehee plz reread my comment and tell me where I ever said the spectral form was physically stronger than his actual devil trigger, i was talking specifically about looks, if you’ve seen designs of nero’s perfect DT from the dmc4 art book its the spectral figure but in actual form, his dmc 5 DT is a precursor to his perfect DT from the art book, although the design is likely to change considering the inclusion of the devil breaker
