Everything about his gameplay is so damn great!! From the attention to his sword draw and posture to the assured way the bastard walks, it's just freaking great.
Ya got to love how Vergil is a little more of a show off with his moves. In DMC3, he would sheath his sword pretty quickly or in a normal way. In DMC4, he takes a time to do some cool tricks/poses while sheathing Yamato.
Even though it's nice having a new, true DMC game, I'm really sad that the art,style changed so drastically. We don't really have the colorful, striking pallete that the previous games have anymore. Enemies don't stick out because they're just as dark as the backgrounds are. Hell, even the player characters sort of disappear and blend in too since their designs and colors don't really distinguish them as much anymore: Dante's red coat is now a darker and muted red, Vergil's coat is now just black, and Nero has a simple hoodie on of sorts now. Maybe it's a nitpick, but to me these design changes are super important to keep the combat flowing and satisfying.

@@Dunge0n By what objective metric? in DMC3, he is stronger than Dante almost the entire time. He stomp everyone in DMC5 almost everytime with just half of his being. And by the end of the game, He is pretty much equal or better than awakened Dante.
While Vergil invests his attacks on a few weapons like Yamato and Force Edge (just like Nero investing in Red Queen and Blue Rose) Dante invests in weapons, devil arms, specific fighting styles like Gunslinger or Trickster, the sons of Sparda are strong but not equal
that was so awesome. goes to show how much detail they've put into his animations. the comparisons to dmc 3 were also a nice touch. i would love to see you do a video on raidens animations from metal gear rising revengeance. you got yourself a new subscriber ✌️

This is animation perfection. Liked their DMC3 sharper face look more than the 4's rounded, bulkier design, but the moves are top notch among this game genre.
