Im with you bro. I usually look at videos and see a mechanic I dont understand then research it later. Like the clash mechanic. You can only clash at enemies THAT HAVE LOCKED ON TO YOU
if you pay attention, most of the time while fighting other enemies or bosses Vergil usually says stuff like "how boring" "disappoing" etc but after fighting Nero, his son he just says "interesting"

@@yoyokun2136 Unfortunately, I'm one of the last people to get advice from in a skill game like this. My one playthrough was pure instinct and frenetic mashing. What I've picked up is that it's implied that every enemy has a combo technique they're weak against. Searching those tricks online might help improve your ability to deal with enemies faster.

I’ve been playing DMC for a long time, completed DMC1, started DMC2, Completed DMC5 on SoS mode, got the secret ending, and I could NOT fight NEARLY as good OR STYLISH as this man. A SUPREME round of applause to this man
I have now beat every game mode on DMC5 except hell and hell and can no hit run Vergil on DMD. I still think this man could teach me millions of thing. His combining is superb, and his use and integration of all Devil breakers and Neros natural agility moves makes me feel like a child. I want more of this. I want power. In other words... IM MOTIVATED!
I like to think that after years of vergil being ridiculously overpowered in everything he's ever been in, he's straight up humbled and forced to eat dirt by his own kid... sometimes literally with those busters. Check the look of sheer surprise when nero takes yamato from him like a toy and does him with his own blade. I love it, was always a fan of nero's bruiser attitude and doing what dante can't by brute forcing vergil into submission.

Dunno if by this time you already know. But DMC4SE and DMC3 switch ver lets you play as both of them. Plus points to DMC4SE though because not only can you play as them, you can also play as Trish and Lady. And with DMCVSE in the horizon, we can finally play as vergil without PC mods lmao.
This game means so much to me. Literally the sickest game I've ever played. You parrying the summoned swords with the rocket arm literally had me in awe.

i just love how they gave us the narrative epic moment of nero defeating vergil without making nero needlesly OP, devil may cry have one of the best coherencys, nero gained a new and unique power, knocked a weakened dante and defeated a weakened vergil, it was a lot of growth and a protagonist moment, while respecting the stablished power and might of the two brothers this moment could have breaked the dynamics between dante and vergil, and banalized all the previous struggles, but instead reinforce all that

Imagine you're a disgruntled, broken shell of a man and a father, your son shows up to beat some sense into you, and the first thing he does is start riding his fucking robot arm.
You got to hand it to Vergil, he's tough. He fights Dante and they're both trashing each other. Then Nero pops up and trashes him (and Dante was downed after just one hit). And right after that, he's going to the underworld and constantly fights with Dante, every time there aren't hordes of demons around. I guess they don't NEED food and Dante was just eating pizzas for fun. Can't blame him.

i just love how they gave us the narrative epic moment of nero defeating vergil without making nero needlesly OP, devil may cry have one of the best coherencys, nero gained a new and unique power, knocked a weakened dante and defeated a weakened vergil, it was a lot of growth and a protagonist moment, while respecting the stablished power and might of the two brothers
this moment could have breaked the dynamics between dante and vergil, and banalized all the previous struggles, but instead reinforce all that

You got to hand it to Vergil, he's tough.
He fights Dante and they're both trashing each other. Then Nero pops up and trashes him (and Dante was downed after just one hit). And right after that, he's going to the underworld and constantly fights with Dante, every time there aren't hordes of demons around. I guess they don't NEED food and Dante was just eating pizzas for fun. Can't blame him.
