When it lines up that you 1) get enough people building up a defensive point, 2) have enough time to build up a defensive point but also 2) have an enemy team competent enough to reach your defensive point, those matches are incredible
Exactly! It sucks so hard when you have a good group and lots of time then they never arrive lol. I have another vid (I believe it's suggested at the end of this one) where we tried to build a fortress in Hurtgen and basically run out of time once we got our supplies delivered so the enemy arrives and all we have are supply boxes everywhere lol. We joked about it and doubled down and acted like we saved the day and the only reason we'd defend is because of our amazing work haha. It's a good one.

This was the best SoulSniper video I've seen so far. Great action, and it's so sweet to see the work of engineers rewarded! I'm amazed to see your patience with that grease gun. It seems to take 6+ hits to kill anyone, and they usually kill me before I hit them that many times.
That was my buddy Neve running the grease gun and I don't think he's got much experience with it yet. I've got a vid on my channel where I ran the grease gun all game and did quite well with it. It packs a punch up close and is a headshot machine actually!

You know there were guys on the other team pissin & moaning about,
"Maybe if SL would've put down his outposts we wouldn't have had to run so far! We almost had them at that one point!"
But of course there were lol. It was an interesting point to fortify because the enemy was coming from the east downhill so you couldn't really see each other til they got close.
I recently did something like this in another map. Mortain, I can only play in it in your server so I'd like to thank you for that.

I never realized HLL has MG nests. no one ever builds them. no one ever builds anything hardly

mortain is the best offensive build up map!
I definitely found placing blueprints to be difficult in many areas around Mortain outskirts. it would be really fun to be right in the heart of the town instead of the outskirts

Defenses are overrated
These fortresses are a bit unnecessary. I would agree. I made an in-depth tutorial about fortifications and I think some simple barbed wire in strategic locations to funnel enemies into kill zones is most effective.
