Great overhead shots that show everything. This is like watching synchronized dancers, everyone has their steps, and they compliment every other dancer.

With a decent buckrake could tip outside and push in in two goes if you tip across the way, all the pits ive done over the years I always ask to tip across where possible and easy shoved up

Always nice to have 1st cut in the silageclamp. I hope it'll be good feed for the girls and you'll have minimum waste. We have also 1st cut in and have a nice pile of feed it's a shame it hasn't rained here in a while. I believe it's been 3 weeks now without rain. Its about time to roll out the rain reels here in the Netherlands😅😅. Tom i hope for you you've got more luck with the weather. Keep up doing the great work as always

Mentioning falling asleep at the wheel reminded me of a mate back in the 80s, after a very late drinking session he was out early on the tractor and fell asleep, his father watched as he mowed down 3 fences as he drove across the farm, the third fence woke him up as it had a drainage ditch on the other side!😂

Also love how farmers always have a way to describe the fields - we have across the road-place, the onion field (if you're a dairy farmer you know), the orchard field (hasn't been an orchard in 105 years now?), the plant beds, the dark barn field, the old house place, below doorknob hill, the crow field, the lost field, the top of the hill, across the highway, Lillian and Lucille's, saddle lane, and the ridges one, two and three!
on my previous farm i had 56 individual fields quite a few over 50 acres and most around 25 acres ,all had a name which related to the farm or something that had happened in past

Great video as usual! I love watching haying. The machinery now(Huge tractors, GPS, double mowers, quad rakes, large wagons along side the forage harvester) is so advanced. It is amazing to watch! The Ginger Warrior is looking good. Always good to see him👍👍😁

I thought after the rain you would want the rake further ahead to let it dry more, dairies we go to are really fussy about that and dont usually let us go too late, your buckrake man has it easy I usually have to do it all myself and keep up, but still great video tom, people dont realise the hours sometimes farming is

Another quality video. Love watching drone footage of the rake especially. Have been going though your videos of the farm revamp and on this video it shows just how much cleaner the yard is now with all the concrete down.

Tip for you Tom, when your driving behind the harvester at night. Turn off your lights. They are reflecting off the mirrors in to the eyes of the drivers.

It's amazing the amount of effort you put in to mow the grass, to rake in the grass and then to scoop up the grass and then to pump it into a wagon to deliver the grass to the storage quad to become silage. One would think grass is just grass, but grass is the lifeblood of most forms of stock farming.
Tom, Next time you get a sparky in to do work with the parlor Get em to install a 400w led floodlight on the end on the building overlooking that dark corner and the clamp…. if your cutting… winter is coming …
