Welcome back my friend and as always beautiful sharing adventure documentary updated resume countryside content video and a very interesting video to watch .. million thanks
Tyres and netting are the best. No more worries about the birds. The netting lasts for years as long as you keep away from Dairygolds netting- useless. Enjoyed the video as always.
Glyn thats a great crop of silage and you will have a great aftermath sward for weaned lambs in a month. We always stack our bales on their end as theres more plastic protection on them to stop the crows , mind you crows really only bother with crop silage bales because of the grain .Paint is good to mark different field as well as bird deterrent and an old fishing net can be used .'Hard to beat a Mc Hale bale' , we weighted some a few years ago and they averaged 1053kgs each .We also treat ours with mallasses pre baling ,around 18 kgs per bale and have never had a case of twin lamb disease in 20 years and bales had been good for up to 4 years of storage and almost have an alcohol smell when opened .good stuff men.
How much a bale did that end up costing you? Here in Canada it's $12 a bale minimum for baling, $8 or more for wrapping $20 an acre for cutting and raking.
to stop it birds getting at the bales if you put some sort of long ribbon or tape we find the red and white tape works best for us its best if you leave it a bit lose so it flaps around in the wind
I would be looking at doing a second cut - grass is not growing terribly well in Ireland at the moment from watching other youtubers and you could make some good money for the farm - I think their might be a shortage of feed coming into next winter
Put on 6 lares of plastic i stack on end best way thaths where most plastic is they best for birds is to put on white and black plastic together wraper takes 2 put one each side
We just baled over a 100 bales oh hay pissed oh rain ever since And coming into about 3 weeks been outside that's the difference between silage a hay hopefully get better soon but looking at app it's to rain and mist to 25 July nae good we are north east Scotland
Perfect weather for cutting silage. It looks like the farmers over here got the first crop in and are watering the second crop. We have had two weeks of hot weather (32 Celcius) so it is not drying out. We have our fingers crossed that we do not get any big fires in our area. Your Dad is the best when he is not chasing chickens. lol (BC Canada) PS I like the way you say thick rows.
The birds won't do hardly any damage. Not worth your while doing anything. I'd say stand the bales up next time. They'll last longer and stay more solid.
Good video Glynn, good to get the bales done in the dry weather.
Great crop of silage there Glynn. Huge yield of bales too. Twil be a pleasure to feed it in winter! Good luck to you.
Cracking video as always. Some setup at the silage. Usually at the majority of times paint works well
Great video Glynn. Lot of bales on that field. Enjoyed watching. 👍🏼👍🏼
Excellent video again thanks for sharing nice feeling to get the winter feed all wrapped up
Great video Glyn done very well getting that many bails 💪👌

A lot of people paint the bales but i have never had any trouble with them touching them without paint

You should have got the Buff to send on the few points you got 😂
you could put a bit of white paint up on the bales
Stacking them on end helps or tyres with netting.good video keep them coming 👏👍
Kerry is a more big ball county 🏐 The remaining 5 Munster counties are predominantly small ball ones.
Great turn out
Can you feed silage to sheep if you shed them in the winter
Glyn did we see u hurl on buffs snapchat story last week.,yourself and the absolute unit number 14 were brilliant
Royal escort from the hen lol

Why did the chicken cross the road?
To see the fine field of silage. Lol
Blobs of grease best job for the bales. Paint is a waste of time.

Nice one Farmer Glynn and Father Glynn, great production, very informative and entertaining
Glad you enjoyed it
Good luck with your bales greace on the bails is good for the crowes
I actually played hurling there in the early 70’s when I worked in Killarney but I don’t remember a bar or building there then
I would be looking at doing a second cut - grass is not growing terribly well in Ireland at the moment from watching other youtubers and you could make some good money for the farm - I think their might be a shortage of feed coming into next winter
Great job wrapping and baling at the same time...brilliant

White and black your only man for the crows they think there like magpies crows are afraid of magpies
do u ever bush out your dogs?
The aul 6600 will be throwing out plenty black smoke feeding them bales out in the winter 😂
Make over 200 bales never put anything on them only a flags around the bales
good video
Favourite TH-camr, keep it up
White x's and o's on the bales and some rat poision to keep them away aswell
How are the donkeys
Buy a bale buggy or ring feeder and feed them out to the ewes on the hill during winter. Money in the bank!
Would the sheep eat silage during the winter? If you had any spare after the cattle.
I think not as much as cows but yes
We just baled over a 100 bales oh hay pissed oh rain ever since And coming into about 3 weeks been outside that's the difference between silage a hay hopefully get better soon but looking at app it's to rain and mist to 25 July nae good we are north east Scotland
Will you be at the shearing fest this Sunday 14th of july masive fan
Blob of grease works well for us
Try the kite it scare away the birds from picking yer round bales
One roll of white and one roll of black on the fusion the crows don't like black and white bales just my 2 cents worth
GREASE!!

Grease works best for us anyway
Ye are a letdown to Kerry talking about hurling
Any sports
Do they use a ball in hurling?
The birds won't do hardly any damage.
Not worth your while doing anything.
I'd say stand the bales up next time. They'll last longer and stay more solid.
Grease is the job
