Hey Adam, how do you find bottom fishing results in relation to the major and minor bite times and the change of tide? We seem to get more action when there is more run (due to current or tide) as opposed to no movement around the change of tide. Do you find the new or full moon more productive?

There is definitely a bite time, especially around the moons but is doesn't always relate to the tides or published "bite times". and is sometimes different for different species even. Just as I think I have it half worked out it will be completed different to what I expect. So I like to think I have some idea but definitely not a science. The current we get is not tide related, more oceanic eddy currents so can stay the same for days or weeks, so it doesn't seem to affect how hungry the fish are. The published bite times I find are much more accurate inshore where fish feeding habits are more affected by tides.
