By the way, i thoroughly enjoy your videos. I'm just not a fan of the way other presenters produce videos for their channel, i just feel they're trying a little too hard. The way i would describe your videos is "raw" and an actual representation of reality. May not mean much in the the grand scheme of things, but you have won my first ever channel subscription - keep doing what you're doing. If i ever see you in CB or Exy i'll make sure to say gday.

Thanks, it is good to hear. did a few edit type videos last year with music and all that stuff that most people do. But I realised most of the stuff I like to watch on TH-cam (mainly car stuff) has none of that. And it is just people filming what they are doing, as it is. So that's what I have tried to do, just show the day as it happens, adding what info I can as I go. Im enjoying doing it so happy to hear you like it that way too. Definitely say hi if you ever catch me around the place. Thanks

Would love to know what date this was recorded so cross references against moon phase, size of tide, wind direction, ocean currents etc etc can be made. I've had some shocking days in the NW where in some instances even the tax man would get taxed LOL! The worst i've had was recently on 17th June, literally EVERY spot from the 20s to 80s was full of sharks all day. We wouldn't waste our time and as soon as we got sharked we would move - covered circa 100km that day with only 2 estuary cod to show for it. It's one thing to have sharks move in on certain spots, but having very sharky days makes me wonder if there is a link to the weather similar to what influences fish activity.

This one was last week 6th of July. But I agree that just like fish the shark behaviour is definitely affected by moon phase, currents, water temp, ect, ect like you say. Just like the fish we are trying to catch sometimes they are hungry some times they are not.

Gday. I am wanting to fish more for Goldband up your way and usually fish off Mandurah and the south coast in much shallower depths. Have you got any tips on what I should be looking for ie moon phase/ tides etc to give me the heads up there will be a strong current offshore and fishing could be difficult. Love the videos and my relatives from VIC still talk about their day out on the Valiant. After watching your vids I have also swapped back to 13.0 circle hooks.
    Regards Murray .

Hi, As for currents that can change every day, so even we don't normally know till we are out there. But if drifting and fishing braid the current even if bad should not be an issue for you. They do do come on and off the bite a bit but don't seem to be affected by it as much as most other fish, so don't stress about tides or bite times. We run both a 13/0 tuna circle and a #18 Tainawa on our rigs. Both will catch golds. The Tainawa will have a better hookup rate but if there is bad current the tuna circle keeps them on there better. Just look in the 110-130m area to target them.
