RUBY, GOLD & GREY - Commercial Fishing Trip 2, Coral Bay, Western Australia.
Finally got a weather window and back pout there. Hitting the deep stuff first to make a dent but finding the sharks above average. Then onto the Goldband having to wait till the am for them to come on. Despite slow second day, we got the job done.

NOT EASY BUT GOT THE FISH, Fishing Charter Coral Bay, Fish Filleting.
มุมมอง 2.8K2 หลายเดือนก่อน
One of our last charters for the season. Joy conditions but the tangle and fish off the bite made it a bit of work. But still finished the day with our bag of quality fish. Sharks, Tangles, Hooks in fingers, Blowfish and suckers, a bit of everything. Finishing with the usual filleting session cutting up fish eyes for the kids. Goldband Snapper, Pearl Perch, Red Emperor.

BACK ON THE ROPE - Fishing Charter, Coral Bay, Western Australia, Goldband Snapper, Black Marlin.
มุมมอง 4.6K5 หลายเดือนก่อน
Still in our charter season, school holidays sees plenty of younger crew on the boat. The first time deep sea fishing for many but they still do well. Trying to get Brock behind the wheel a bit more so I'm back on the rope. We pick up what I assumed was a sailfish on the way in but turned out to be a little Black Marlin. We don't recommend puling these fish out of the water and was not setting ...

Muito obrigado pelo maravilhoso vídeo, boas festas com saúde e muito sucesso. Boas pescarias ficam todos bem obrigado
Thanks for sharing your experience with us. I enjoy watching your work. I always manage to say hello when I’m in Coral Bay… one day a name to a face. Mine is Marc. Happy Christmas to you too.
My head spins as I watch the video coz this POV is too kinetic.
Nice mate, another good watch 👍
Hey mate I’m in coral bay atm with a mate wild you be able to take us out
Sloppy knife work and the ikejime is not even done properly. Why would you post this without looking into it first?? 🤣
Now that’s an amateur if I’ve ever seen one, can’t breathe after one drop, the deckie do nothing actually does nothing and if I’m seeing this right, hand winches not hydros? Spend the money and pay for itself in one trip😂 no business ethics to be seen
Another great video you guys are a great team.
Beauty!
mate you need to look at hydraulic reels 😢 ur getting to old 😂😂👍👍🇦🇺🇦🇺
Well done Adam and Brock some nice colour fish there lots of hard work but the reward is there when will you start the charter again in the new year any idea have a great Xmas
Nice work. Do you guys bleed the fish after spiking?
The tax man was busy.

Fished Lord Howe charter, half day, got dozens of kingies and prime trevally, back at jetty the skipper said, we keep all the fish for the Island 🏝 restaurant,!! 😮 WTF i said pigs 🐖 arse! If I don't get what me and the wife caught, someone's getting thrown off the jetty ! 😂😂 😅😅 We OUR FISH, and fed the whole resort next day at a barbie lunch 😅 cheeky buggers 😂😂❤❤😊
I've chartered around the world 🌎 ✨️ ❤😂 and you guy's are right up there, a great boat 🚢 👍 and team ,I managed same in Whitsundays 1980s , thanks great video 10/10 ❤❤❤❤😂😅😊
A lady next to me, we had 2 large emporers ,hers was wacked by shark's and she pulled up a large head!!😂😅WTF so a doubled my retrieval rate and got mine in whole ,can be alot of shark's around 😂😂 😅😅 ❤❤❤❤😊
Sure I did this charter in 2001, and cleaned up, 3 best fish 🐟 were, 2 prime big emporers ! And a large unique diamond trevally, superb eating, really enjoyed the session 😋 ❤❤❤❤ cheers 🍻 from Byron Bay Australia 🇦🇺 😊
Good work, Adam and Brock. Hopefully, we will see you up there again in April, and we'll try to drag old Bill up as well😂
жалко рыбок.
Пришли парочку штук рыбок ...
Starting to lick my lips mmm
Those cods in the bucket at the 12:10 mark, are they comet grouper? The yellowish ones. Caught a heap of them before up your way and struggled to id.
Yep most of them were comet grouper. people sometimes get them and the radiant cod mixed up. The comment grouper always have 3 dots along the bottom half of each side.
Hi Adam glad to see you have kept the best dickey in town looking forward to catching up with you guys in the new future
Cheers Det
love the vids adam cant wait to get up there and see ya
Cheers
Have been watching from your first commercial love your posts. I am from South Australia & we would gill & gut all fish before icing better quality but probably not viable with the quality you are doing
Yeh not many people gut these days, they say even just the small cuts in gutting them exposes the flesh to possible bacteria. As long as they are chilled and kept cold the guts are no issue.
First fish a man in grey suit 😮 you earn a living for sure 👍
They don't make it easy.
Awesome footage
Congratulations on your successful first season, looking forward to joining you next year from the east coast.
Good stuff. Really enjoy seeing the sounder and the different marks the ruby's return. Do you find that the queen and ruby's bite higher on the rig?
Hey adam. Nice content sir. Where can i get a reel like what you have using if you dont mind
Enjoyed this video. Alot of good tips and education there, good look into what goes into a professional fishing boat. We all love stories on the big ones, could you put the good ones on a brag matt be nice to know.
G'day mate, love your video's, they are very informative. Just wondering, when on anchor, do you have the sinker sitting on the bottom, or do you wind it up a few metres? Cheers
Hey Cheers, Definitely all the way on the bottom. Sometimes mint get lifted a bit in current or by fish but want it on the bottom.
well said Adam, great to hear a pro fisherman walk through the life of a pro...not all as simple as people would think
Cheers
I totally agree I used to work the trap and barra boats back over 20yrs ago the skipper on the barra had 45yrs of diary entries from him and his Oldman in our down time he let me read the 1st 20yrs of his dads it was an amazing insight into the past all while experiencing the same thing and the skippers had the same extent of knowledge only 200mile out to sea
Hey Adam, love all the vids and info. Just wondering if you could give any advice/tips on fishing for rubys?
Probably not too much help but, 220-380m seem to be the best depths, any structure or top or bottom edges of any significant slopes. If you find something but get no fish, make sure you still try it another day (they just might not be on). They can look like almost anything on the sounder at times, so if ifs near the bottom give it a crack.
Hey Adam love watching your videos love the commentary and information. The commercial fishing videos are great to watch looking forward to more.
Cheers
Hey mate love the content I was just wondering what transducers you guys are running ?
3KW 38kHz low frequency (38B-15HR) and a 1kw multi frequency chirp transducer for the high (SS175).
1 day mate I'm coming for a charter trip I promise you that iv watched every video
Cheers
Nice video mate, thanks for sharing 👍
Cheers
Hi Adam another great video hope you do well this year on the fishing 😊
Cheers thanks Det
Just found your channel. I'm born and raised in Hawaii (born in 1960). I grew up on the North Shore of Oahu surfing and diving, fishing and freedive spearfishing, and and lived on the island of Kauai many years, and on the Big island for several decades. I've been a full time commercial fisherman for 45+ years in Hawaii, and bottom fished in the northwestern Hawaiian islands all the way up to midway island. I've had several boats over the years from 30- 60'. Spent most of my lifetime on the ocean! It is a young mans thing, due to how physically demanding it is, but I've seen and experienced the most amazing things. Seems like the fisheries are very regulated these days, but proper management is key to keeping the resources healthy! Appreciate you as we share something in common! Curious if you guys have issues with illegal foreign boats fishing areas where you are? I know Australia is massive, but there have been terrible impacts by illegal foreign fishing fleets, with international organized crime, and sadly, even slave labor for captains and crew. Lot of Indonesian fisherman end up in pristine isolated areas off Australia and it's just something that honest and properly licensed captains who work hard like you and myself just doing what we love and to support our families find very troubling. Cheers to all the boys down under! We share much in common! Aloha from beautiful Hawaii D.L
Hey, thanks for reaching out. We are pretty lucky where we are in Western Australia that illegal fishing is not really an issue. But further north in Australia it definitely is. I hear heaps about it from the guys that run the trap boats up north. They know exactly what they can and cart get away with and take advantage of that. You do feel sorry for some of them as they are just trying to make a living too, but obviously their long term effects will only make it harder for everyone.
Do you fish much according to the barometer? It’s something I’ve been studying abit as from down south wa we have to go fishing when weathers permitting, I usually do well and surrounded with likewise fishos and seems all the quiet days I have everyone seem to have the barometer is way down, again when the weather lets you fish we fish and I really enjoy just being on the water and as mostly rec fisho I don’t need to rely on it being an income
