hi im the baiken in the clip! Because of the way the game is coded, the moment I do Tatami Gaeshi, I actually stop building negative penalty. So the game is only counting a very small amount of my backwards movement as "retreating". Therefore, If I am to do 2x lowest height iad back tatami, microdash forward, and then do 2x more, and you dash block in and regularly backdash out, you are actually incurring more negative penalty than I am, eventually forcing you to run into the mat to interact.
Whats the counterplay for retreating tatami if the other character doesnt have projectiles or big disjoints? I play asuka so i dont have to worry personally, but i do find it interesting
