I didn’t see much of her husband but i think Miss Vivian is a Lovely person and is very talented in many ways. i wish her and her children and X husband all the best.
Her new restaurant in Kinston is $300 per person for a seven-course meal! That includes gratuity but wine is extra. I'll stick to cooking recipes out of Deep Run Roots.
I can't say I'm surprised. The restaurant life is not the most healthy for a marriage. I knew a couple (the husband is a chef) who divorced recently. He was moving wherever he had the opportunity for the next step in his culinary career and I imagine his now ex-wife was probably tired of it. Hopefully Vivian and Ben still have an amicable relationship for the sake of their twins.
It’s crazy how people that weren’t in the marriage think they know anything about these two people. So all you negative judgmental people good luck with people judging you.
Yeah I found the show difficult to watch. The restaurant business is very stressful, for sure. With even the most solid marriages unable to succeed long term.
I think he put a lot of his dreams on the back burner for her. After watching her show many times,I see she can be very self absorbed. I hope Ben gets to follow his aspirations now…
I totally agree with your comment. She was the youngest child . I always got the impression she was very spoiled. She was used to getting her way and I think he must've gotten tired of it. The whole thing just made me heartsick though. I thought they made such a darling family. This is an opinion only.
She doesn't seem like "the marrying kind", and they never really seem too compatible. Never really saw her act affectionate with him, but that could also just be her nature.
their life seemed to be filled with stress. her husband put his career on hold so she could pursue her dream. her dream came first and his languished. just not a good move for a marriage. to me it seemed her restaurant was doomed from the start,
I watched a couple of episodes of Chef and the Farmer, and knew both their restaurant and marriage weren't going to make it. The fighting on camera was everywhere, especially in front of their staff. Frankly, I found the show hard to watch. Between the fighting and complaining about how hard their life was didn't make for a great way to spend half an hour of my day.

I love her!!
I hope she is okay.
Stressful time for all :(

Ridiculous. Way too snooty for ENC
Loved her shows!! Culinary/restaurant business is high stress and not conducive to continued family life ... WELL KNOW FACT.

Watching her shows she seemed stressed out and didn’t appear that she was easy to get along with.

So that's why there's no season 2 of Somewhere South. Sad to hear about the divorce. It can't be good for the young kids.
Their spilt made me really 😔 sad.
I want to know more about this, lol

She out grew hubby
Culturally, professionally and financially all amiss.

Not shocking. He always seemed bitter

You both should know very well, two chefs CANNOT be married, and having kids was stupid.
Talk about being judgemental!!!! Having kids was their decision! You don't know a thing about it!!! You sure are negative.
She is so self absorbed. Her husband Ben seemed so nice but just bullied by her.
I quit watching because I didn't enjoy watching her complain about her employees or things that didn't go the way she wanted during every episode.
He seemed kind of an asshole on the tv show.
Nobody really commits to marriage.
Whatever works for them. I can not fathom why this would be anyone's business.
