    I own a Bluetec Mercedes E250, I used Amsoil Signature 15w40 and let me share this, my vehicle performs better and quieter, I went to another brand and the engine became louder. Amsoil by far is the Best oil money can buy with the lowest NOACK numbers, something critical for diesels and dpf issues, regarding to soot deposits. Diesels perform better with Amsoil.

    Definitely well done. I have a 22WRX still under warranty and my 21 Outback XT. I change the oil at least twice a year unless I rack up the mileage to do otherwise. I’m going to try the OE line. I currently use Royal Purple or Mobil 1.

    When we bought a used Honda Civic Hatchback 15 years ago the first thing I did was an Amsoil flush, filter and oil change. Got great results but somehow over the years got away from Amsoil products until that same car recently began to have problems. I just received the Amsoil kit with flush, new filter and oil. I'm looking forward to getting back to using the Amsoil products but was confused about which oil does what. Your video was very informative and appreciated. I do have a question I hope you can answer. When we went on a trip across southern Canada 15 years ago in the little used car I just mentioned and filled up with gasoline which did NOT have ethanol in it I was shocked to discover we got 50 miles per gallon, consistently every fill-up. When we couldn't find gasoline other than with ethanol our mileage dropped by at least 10 miles per gallon. Does Amsoil offer any products which will neutralize the effects of ethanol? Thank you.

    • @synlubeproscrider3712
      @synlubeproscrider3712  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Calvin....here's what's going on.
      Ethanol has about 30% fewer BTU's per gallon than gasoline....meaning ethanol has about one third less energy per gallon so you have to burn more of it to get the same amount of work (energy) so gasoline diluted with ethanol which is much less energy dense will never produce the same mpg as straight gasoline will.
      And the higher the concentration of ethanol to actual gasoline the more pronounced the loss of mpg is.
      (My own opinion is adding ethanol to gasoline is environmental nonsense)

    • @HiTechOilCo
      @HiTechOilCo ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@synlubeproscrider3712 - With ethanol being used in gasoline, it reduces fuel economy about 10%, which of course forces motorists to purchase 10% more fuel to travel the same distance they could before ethanol contaminated the gasoline. Now, why would the government want consumers to use more gasoline? When we want to know the truth, follow the money. A 10% reduction in fuel economy means that motorists then have to purchase 10% more fuel to travel the same distance they did before ethanol. Every gallon of gasoline is taxed and forcing motorists to purchase 10% more fuel, (drum roll), means they are *paying 10% more in gas taxes! Greed and corruption!

    Help us with a break down of all the new oils since this video has been made and their recommendations:
    1) Signature Series - 25k miles and same formulation?
    2) Extended-Life 100% Synthetic - 20k Miles (Did this replace the XL product?
    3) High-Mileage 100% Synthetic - 12k miles rated
    4) OE Synthetic (Same formulation and no changes - No mileage guarantee I assume based on OE's suggested mileage)
    5) Hybrid Engine 100% Synthetic - 15k mile guarantee
    The new Fram Endurance oil filter is an identical filter to the EAO Amsoil Oil filter product line made by Champion Labs. I have opened up several models to verify info from Ford Boss Me and Whip City Wrencher. This is just informational, not requiring confirmation. They are both still the best filters on the market. Mobil1's reformulation has taken them to middle or bottom of the row in comparison tests. Valvoline Advanced and Pennzoil Ultra Platinum are the two closest to Amsoil Signature Series.
    Are the wear additives, detergents and TBN published or increased on the high-mileage and the Extended-life oils?

    Hello Larry. First and foremost, I use many AMSOIL products and have 100% faith in them. Perhaps You might be able to assist me with conveying a request to the powers that be at AMSOIL regarding the one product that I would like to see some improvement on. That would be the Signature ATF. I’m sure as with all their products , it is superior by far in performance. My total dissatisfaction with it is the totally unnecessary putrid smell. They could have made it smell like lilac or anything somewhat pleasant, even horse manure would be better. I have a nice garage and try to keep it that way. I used this stuff one time on a Highlander I serviced and My garage stunk for a week. I’m not exaggerating, and no I did not spill any. I still have 4 gallons left that I have no use for. As I mentioned, there is no reason they had to make a great product smell like a summertime 5 day bloated road killed deer.

    I am running the signature series in my 2013 Ford Fusion Titanium 2.0 TURBO with your Amsoil Oil Filter. How long do you recommend that I go before oil change? I am at 6500 miles between oil changes, and it is getting darker in color. I am concerned here as I have never went over 5k between oil changes in any of my cars. I am hearing that the Fusion turbo is considered "extreme conditions" on oil. Thank you in advance.

      I am sure this one wont get answered because I am reading now that turbo engines shouldn't go over 6500 to 7500 miles even on even the signature series. Please prove me wrong here. Seems like a waste of money unless you are running a non turbo engine. Don't get me wrong ive been using amsoil in all my vehicles for 20 years, but if im going to have to change it at 6k miles with my turbo engines. No sense to spend the extra money.

    • @synlubeproscrider3712
      @synlubeproscrider3712  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's not a bad plan at all!
      An upgrade would be adding an Amsoil EA15K-50 oil filter to what you're doing.
      The Amsoil oil filter would have a 15,000 mile or one year change interval for that type of service saving you some time and trouble changing filters.....it also offers a bit higher particle efficiency then the Fram does.

These AFM and Direct Injection engines are just not good candidates for extended drain. 5000 oci is about the sweet spot. Even GM recommends 7000 is to long but they don’t care if you’re vehicle lasts. Amsoil is a great oil. I lab sampled my oil at 6000 and fuel was already trending up. Also with GDI the injectors take more abuse and build carbon. Your better changing at 5000 and sticking with Amsoil just my experience

      While our OE product line offers a bit better wear protection and detergency then typical mass market synthetic oils do....No, it is not the equal of our Signature Series line up.
      OE was formulated to offer a performance advantage over mass market synthetic oils while being price competitive with them in the synthetic oil change market.
      Signature Series on the other hand is not formulated to a price or performance point in the market place but is designed without compromise to be the best in the world.
      OE is for those who want a high performance synthetic oil at a reasonable price while Signature Series is for those who want the best there is and don't care what it costs

    Would one way to decide which oil to choose is based on how many miles the vehicle drives in 1 year. If a vehicle only see's 8000 miles a year and sits in storage for 4 months a year. then perhaps XL is the best fit? (this vehicle maint schedule says change oil 5000 mile or 6 months) so i don't have to change oil every 6 months according to manufacturer... please advise! Also can the XL and signature exceed 1 year if it's low mileage (for example in storage for a period of time; but it does see harsh winters and towing conditions)! Thanks

    • @synlubeproscrider3712
      @synlubeproscrider3712  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi and thank you for your interest!
      Based on what your telling me it sounds like our XL product line would be perfect for your needs....just change it once per year and your golden!
      As far as going beyond a year on XL or Signature Series....I will admit that in my own wife's car, a late model Toyota Camry using SignatureSeries....she drives very few miles per year and I often go two years between oil changes . BUT...I have taken oil samples at 15 to 18 months out to validate that and the samples have come back from the lab in great condition.
      Amsoil corporate tends to stress a yearly oil change short of doing a used oil analysis to determine the oils condition.
      Is the oil good for more then a year? Almost certainly....but without a lab report you are guessing and manufacturer warranties are not based on guesses.
      The fact is that time in service does effect a lubricant along with actual operation...as moisture can build up in an unused oil causing issues
      Hope this helps and if you have any questions you are welcome to call my office

      I’m kind of in the same boat. I’ve got a 2013 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD. I plan on changing my oil every six months or 5000 miles, whichever comes first. Here in Minnesota, I just like to keep the moisture out of the engine due to temperature changes. I also tow a small camper on a short leash during the summer.

    Don’t know if I’ll get an answer to this question but never hurts to ask.
    So I use BG’s MOA with all my oil changes, because it’s protection properties. Would BG’s MOA be still ok to use with any of OE, BOOSTED or SIGNATURE SERIES or would it be unnecessary.
    My vehicle does idle a lot, probably a hour daily and I have already had to repair components with my engine courtesy of the HEMI TICK destroying my cam and a couple lifters, at 112k miles. I did install a direct bolt on 6.4l srt oil pump which technically helps with high flow and high volume. It added around 15+psi extra depending on oil temps at idle.
    So I’m just curious to know as other my be too.
    So would the extra BG’s MOA assist with wear protection or would it just be overkill?
    And also just asking for more curiosity purposes, what about the LUCAS oil stabilizer, would that assist or just be a not needed.

      AMSOIL Signature Series synthetic motor oil has a recommended drain interval of up to 25,000 miles or one year, whichever occurs first, for standard duty service. For severe service use, (which most vehicles fall into, i.e. any short trip driving), the recommended drain interval is up to 15,000 miles or one year, whichever comes first. Send in a sample of your 8,000 mile AMSOIL Signature Series to Oil Analyzers oil analysis laboratory to have the oil analyzed. I think you'll discover that you're throwing out perfectly good oil. High mileage oil are essentially a bandaid for having used a poor performing oil since the engine was new.
      Start out from the beginning with an exceptional oil and you'll never need a high mileage oil!
      Case in point....my own Nissan Sentra valve area is shown in the Signature Series video....it has run Amsoil Signature Series (changed every 20,000 miles) since it was new.....now at 352,000 miles it's still like new!
      Start out with Signature Series from the beginning on a fresh engine....you'll never need a high mileage oil!

      @synlubeproscrider3712  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@jouseff_1293 As a rule of thumb, going up or down one step in viscosity is fine.
      A lot of the turbocharged application on the market call for a 5W or 10W/30 anyway.
      Some turbocharged applications such as Porsche 911 turbo's call for a 5W/40.
      The Porsche of course holds a lot of oil (12 qt's or more depending on year model) which spreads the load out on the oil so to speak.
      A turbocharged Toyota with a factory oil volume may run higher oil temperatures meaning going to something like a 5W/50 in a warm climate wouldn't be out of the question
