The vast majority of EV owners are very happy with their cars. I bought a used Bolt 3.5 years ago and have driven 45,000 km. It is still worth the same as I paid for it. Insurance is no more than for a gas car. The only maintenance has been one fluid change and a brake job. I have replaced the tires once. I road trip frequently and have no problems charging. Charging at home is 1/5 the cost of gas. Fast DC charging on the road is 1/2 the cost of gas. (And for the past year, has been free at several chargers, allowing me to go 1000km without cost.) Rarely do I wait for a charging spot, never more than 10 minutes. Only once have I had to wait at a slow charger for 2 hours because the fast one was being serviced.
I just bought a new car,and it was NOT an EV. EV was not even considered
Insurance on my 2024 tesla is only $50 more per year than what it costs for my 2014 BMW
My Bolt EUV is the best car I have ever owned........will never go back to ICE
Our Tesla was $37k new. It gets 265 miles of range. It is far more advanced than any other car out there. Its the second Tesla we bought. Believe what you want to believe, buy what you want to buy.
Far more advanced is not always a good thing.
15% dip from record volumes is not a crash. The market was doubling year over year...... calm down haters
It also forgets that theres now a pretty decent 2nd hand market these days too.
Government mandates are a big turn off.
A lot of this sounds like problems for Americans only, not so much everyone else and seems to be linked to the American meme of "need a SUV/big car for big travel you will never do" pushed hard by companies that make more out of those vs a normal car sale. 350 mile range? The average journey in the US, just like the UK and much of the EU is about 15-20 miles, rarely going above 50 miles for the vast majority of people.
Again, guess who it is that has setup propaganda that "you need to have the ability to cross the country without stopping" xD. The same people who have pushed hard for SUV/Pickups to become "the norm" even though 99% of people dont need them.
Oh boy the tyre replacement meme as well....
So you bought an EV and are now just starting to regret it putting you at the stage where you try to justify with stupid comments like you made above. WOW.
@@petebusch9069 Nope, not at all correct ha.
@@mitchverr9330 Then why are you defending them?
@@petebusch9069 Because its annoying to see people who try to push what are arguably myths/half truths about EVs because they dont personally like them?
@@mitchverr9330 Nope, you just haven't realized how bad they are.
top ten reasons they aren't selling.
1. price
2. price
3. price

If they sell them cheap enough, ppl will buy them ..
Hard to repair, cant repair yourself, not many places to had repaired, unreliable, and limited. Its an iphone as a car which is a bad thing. Oh and they are bad for the enviroment.
Toyota hybrid systems are far superior to any ev.
This video cherrypicks and distributes FUD. Not at all a balanced viewpoint.
BEVs are wonderful! They operate on unicorn farts and rainbows, so what is the problem?
What's going to happen now that EV sales are dropping and hybrids are sales are rising? Will Musk have to re-tool his giga factories to produce hybrids so that we can save the environment?
Now that their market is saturated, it could be a long slow collapse. Add Chinese EVs, maybe quicker death. Tesla to buy Toyota hybrid powertrains? Doubt it.
If you think Musk is trying to save the planet I have a bridge across the Irish Sea to sell you. Tesla is likely to end in a prison term for Musk lol.
You can't fix stupid! Don't buy one people!
