Not many have the natural instinct to let off the brake to allow the rear wheels to turn and regain control of the car. I figure it comes from his time spent slipping and sliding on Ice plowing snow with me for years.

💯% Facts! I can't count the number of times I've made that same statement. I've seen it countless times... when the brakes are locked up, you have no control, and you can not steer the vehicle. You're right, Bill... it has everything to do with knowing and practicing the driving basics by having experience in snow and ice and hooning cars, dirt bikes, go-carts, etc. in general! It makes all the difference in the world.

There's times when when you keep her locked down and times you don't. If brakes are locked it's not likely to change direction, so if I'm going straight down the track I keep her locked if I'm headed into the wall I'm releasing so those wheels can roll and help turn the car away from the wall. It's easier said than done, you gotta have good instincts and Billy has them.
When you beat the guys so bad on the light they start making excuses.. Had me rolling!

The vibes in this video were so good. Billy looks genuinely happy, Tommy is really finding his way on the tuning and cutting the tree down. That’s a hell of a job guessing that light. I’ve run 7.0,6.50, 6.00 heads up for years and only got a handful of lights like that. They never seemed to drop the same, maybe not auto. To win you had to have a double 0 light. Great job across the board yall. Really enjoy the videos. Maybe we get to race one day. 👍
