I dont know why but i love that combo, it has the same stats as if you were using the cat cruiser, meaning same stats as teddy and yoshi bike but with the extra invincibility

I noticed this too, one day it was majority Teddies, now it’s Mr. Scooties! I’ve just been chalking it up for a preference to mini turbo over speed. Though I think Teddy is easier to use since you don’t have to constantly charge mini turbos. Both are good
It’s gonna be dependent on your skill level. If you are good at drifting, and can chain MTs together well, Scooty or Biddybuggy (same stats) can be quite good. If not, usually something like Teddybuggy will be better.
If you don’t know what to use try racing a WR ghost in TT that’s using Scooty and see if you can get a good time using their strats. Then try finding the most recent heavier/faster combo record and see if you can do better with that.
A simple example is electrodrome 150cc. The wr is still (iirc) Yoshi Biddybuggy. But you will actually lose time if you can’t squeeze in MTs as effectively (whether that be mt, smt, or umt) due to lower speed stat. Then try with a teddybuggy or even mach 8 or something similar for more speed. If you do better with the latter, you’re probably not gonna optimize your play with Scooty.
I totally agree, if you know how to do all the high mini turbo precise techniques then go with Mr scooty, but if u don’t wanna try that hard then pick a faster combo.

It may not be better but it is better for heavier characters
for teddy, it’s actually more versatile due to its increased speed. scooty has more mini turbo though, which can be really useful if you have 10 coins

Well what if I don't want to play the meta combos and just want to play Circuit Rider Slick tires Hylian Kite Yoshi in peace? I'm gonna play offline too....
