Surely she must be from another planet or perhaps she has come down from heaven, angelic and delightfully enchanting. I like the interviewer, he addresses her respectfully without being condescending, I think he is truly beguiled by her singing ability.

Usually when someone says they go to another world when they sing, I think it sounds made up. Like something they say to sound interesting. But Angelina is different. Sometimes you can SEE it, when she goes to the "other world". So when Angelina says it, I believe her. Without a doubt.

Aryton Senna once said when he drove he was in another world. She has a gift that a select few have in arts and sports. Wayne Gretzky in hockey, Eddie Merckx in cycling, the Beatles, Van Gogh... she is one of them.
It's interesting, but when she was singing a bit of Diamonds Are Forever, she seemed a little shy until she closed her eyes...and then grew stronger and more at ease. I'm betting she quickly went to that other world 🙂
I made the same observation...her voice became more present after she closed her eyes. I liked that.

For sure, this lovely, gentle young woman was born to sing. She is rare soul, and we are so privileged to hear her.

thanks KAT ...i've seen this interview several times b4 but it ended b4 angelina's remarks about friends and comments on her shoes ....during interviews at O2 quincey was introducing angelina as his daughter...
I can only imagine how she and Quincy Jone viewed one another. He is one of those icons she wishes to become. So much so that she thoughtfully considers him her new best friend. It very much reminds me of how Sara Bareielles introduced Sir Elton John when they sang one of her songs together. I think she called him her newest dear friend. And I have to go out on a limb here, but if you were Quincy Jones, and you saw her amazing and growing talent, wouldn’t you want her as a daughter? And such a good, kind person to boot.
I forgot to mention the video shows how she sang for him privately at his request backstage.

That was nice - good to see the full interview. I still can't get my head around the fact that this was recorded in London. Norwegian chat show with Norwegian guests ( of course I don't know if Angelina had flown over from LA or was still visiting Norway at the time...).
Yes, it might sound a bit strange. But Skavlan moved his studio to London to have access to major international guests; pop stars, top politicians and movie stars who rarely come to Scandinavia. London is a meeting point in Europe 😊
When they speak Norwegian in the beginning, Skavlan says that she divides her time between Los Angeles and Norway and that they flew her over from Los Angeles to London. He also asks if she likes singing or talking best and she answered that she likes singing and writing the most.
