Every time I watch this interview again, I feel like crying, her wonderful simplicity and depth always take me away. It's natural for her to be like this, we have forgotten how to do it ... 💛 🧡 ❤️
I just love this interview. It gives me so much insight into the nature of this gifted girl and her purpose in this life. Kudos to the family nurturing this great soul. 💜
I am Norwegian, and confirms to you that the words she read is the exact words she wrote in her diary at six years old. I stopped the interview when it zoomed in on her diary, and read the words myself. She has to be an extraordinary special human being.
What nine year old kid sings "Unchained Melody" (which is what she did just before this interview), then intelligently but humbly answers questions about her life and her book, then reads an excerpt from her private diary, in front of a live audience and perhaps tens of thousands of TV viewers just as calmly as talking across the fence to a neighborhood playmate!? Angelina Jordan -- that's who!
This sweet girl is not only a unique special singer, probably one of the greatest, given her age, but she is an awesome human being with a big big heart!! She will forever have a fan in me!!

God is going to use her in some big ways, and He already has been. She is special. A heart so pure and she is so humble. And to be able to write and think like that of the age of 6 is indescribable, I'm out of words. This interview should be shown in schools and workplaces everywhere.
She will make big money but it will not be spent on grandiose living. We will see an Astar Foundation funding charities around the world. Would not be surprised seeing her driving a ten year old car around at some point. Do not believe we will see a Lamborghini in her driveway.

Angelina grew up in a multicultural environment: The bedrock is Norwegian, being raised in Oslo, her beloved maternal grandmother (her inspiration, her mormor) is Iranian and her maternal grandfather was Japanese. While she is probably not fluent in either Farsi or Japanese, she will have learned enough to get by. The story why she sings barefoot almost certainly happened in Iran and she will have actually have had a real conversation with the bathroom-scale girl - in Farsi, with her grandmother filling in the blanks. Angelina is a magnificent example of an emphatic human being, her musical talents notwithstanding.

YES!!! Have you heard her new original, Princess of Ruins? INCREDIBLE! LOVE LOVE LOVE "Princess of Ruins!" ❤❤❤❤❤❤She has GOT to travel back to where she met that little girl and find her if at all possible! Wouldn't that be phenomenal???
Thank you! I now have 3 versions of Angelina telling the barefoot story. She is a highly spiritual person. She is what's called a master soul. Master spirit.
The extraordinary thing about Angelina is that when she isn't singing she really is just a little girl and talks like a little girl (or DID, rather!) This is so unlike other gifted children, who so often speak and behave just like grown-up people. She is not really a prodigy as is often said; she is someone who has been given the gift of music, which she shares with us as she once shared those shoes.
Angelina's shyness (/humility) made the interviewer work hard on this one! [wink] Also… is it just me, or does Angelina change her voice when she's reading from the diary? At first I thought it was just that the audio had been boosted a bit because she was being so quiet (and maybe also because she's tilting her head down closer to the mic), but I swear she's making her voice deeper, as well. Am I crazy?
A late respons, I don't think you are crazy :) Angelina is known for having so many voices. I guess that, when she said OK to read this from her diary, she did it in a professional way, in the same way as when she sings. She choosed one of all her voices :) In this TV-show she also sang "Unchained melody", if you missed that th-cam.com/video/wPfMzMeBLbo/w-d-xo.html
@@tanja3921 I'll see your late response, and raise you one of my own. [wink] I notice that there's an edit when she starts reading (she starts with the diary in her lap, then in the next shot, it's up in the air), so it looks like they had her read the passage more than once.
You can try sending an e-mail to the publishing house. I've heard rumors that you can get an inlay with english translation, and an English edition is more likely to happen if it's in high demand. *_Cappelen Damm AS_* www.cappelendamm.no/ e-mail: post@cappelendamm.no
This video could be important if you want to understand one of the goals of Angelina. It's looks almost sur-natural if you pay not only attention of what she is reading from her diary but more if you do beleive that what she wrote is true! It is her Jacob's Ladder!! What do you think? Vær forsiktig! På gjensyn!
Wow, I hadn't heard the diary entry before. Who writes like that in their diary?? (So, not only does she sing like someone twice her age, she writes that way, too?) I notice it's in cursive. If it were anyone except Angelina, I would say that's strong evidence that it was written *years* after the fact (she was only 6 when she met the girl) -- with her, though, I'm not so sure! [grin] Still… I wonder if this was like a "school diary". You know, like, each day write about something personal, as a school project. I had to do something like that when I was in… uhh… maybe 4th grade.
Your comments are months old, but I want to add my observations regarding aspects of the authenticity of Angelina's diary that you seem to touch upon. I would guess that her thoughts, however they were recorded at age six when she met the young girl on the street, the words were written or rewritten in her handwriting for the publication of her diary. The writing in cursive is very similar to the character of her notes on the pages of lyrics she followed for a rehearsal of "Rehab;" displayed in the link that follows. A sure sign are the curlicues, subtle loops in forming certain letters, such as the "g" and the dotting of the letter "i'. To me it doesn't matter when the words were written for publication, but the thoughts inherent in the diary are, as Angelina said: "...what is inside my heart." th-cam.com/video/4uuysznSevE/w-d-xo.html
My wife and I home schooled each of our four children from kindergarten all the way through high school over the course of nineteen years (1992-2011). The curriculum we chose to use contained what is called "pre-cursive handwriting" for kindergarten ages 4 & 5. So, by the time each entered first grade curriculum at age six, they were already writing cursively as well as in printed form (just as Angelina was apparently doing with ease). Children will surprise (and often astound) us. If trained consistently, patiently, lovingly, and interestingly from early on, they will tend to live up to the expectations we set for them, no matter how high ..... or, as is too often the case, how low.
@@johnbattles1002 I too homeschooled my four children, though the first was born in 1992, and they each chose to attend a high school when they were that age to do so. Cursive was a fun game for some of them... not something I pushed though. As to the authenticity of Angelina’s diary.... I have no doubts about it!
Just for the record, now that I have the book (both the Norwegian hardcover and the English digital version), I see that the passage she read here (and the text just below it, on the same page) appears on the 15th page of text in the book (not the 15th page overall, but the 15th page containing the text of the story - as you hold the book open, the pages on the left [what would be the even-numbered pages] contain text and the pages on the right [the odd-numbered pages] don't - the artwork spans both pages). Notice the little "15" written in the top-left corner of the page she's reading from? Coincidence? I think not. [grin] This strongly suggests to me that the notebook she is reading from actually contains a rewritten version of the story, written specifically for publication. When you read the book itself, the story is presented as exactly that: a story, told like a story. It doesn't read like a diary entry. (For example, it's written in present tense - not the past tense that one would expect of a diary entry written immediately after the events happened [i.e., "Today I did such and such…"].) But OTOH, in a print interview (in Norwegian) done around the time the book was published, Angelina said, "It started with a real experience, which I first wrote about in my diary. During _Norske Talenter_ I flipped back to what I had written about a small, poor girl I met on the street in a foreign country. Then the feelings for the impression the girl had made on me became even stronger. First I told my mom she had to read my story. Mom said it was a beautiful story. I wanted someone other than my mom to read it too. When the author Erling Kittelsen looked at the story, he thought it should be a book." So, this suggests that it was in the form of a "story" from the beginning. Hmm… In an interview/conversation presumably recorded at around the same time as the print interview I just quoted from, Kittelsen himself said to Angelina, "A year and a half ago, I met you after quite a long time, and you asked if I wanted to read something you had written. […] You give me these sheets and then I say, 'This must be a book.'" His use of the word "sheets" [«arkene»] is interesting. Had she already rewritten the story? Or did her "diary" consist of loose-leaf pages? Or was he simply looking at photocopies of the diary pages? (This last explanation seems plausible to me.) He also said, "The sentences in this book that one thinks have to be written by an adult, those are written by you. And you have come up with the whole structure and the whole story." (This conversation is now available on YT as "Angelina Jordan Between Two Hearts Interview 2015", on the "Angelina Jordan Fan Club - The Shield" channel.) Going back to the print interview, Angelina said on the subject of whether she "receieved a lot of help" writing the book, "I have only received a little help - what is it called, language washing [«språkvask»]? Publishing editor Geir (Nummedal), has also given good advice to both me and my grandmother. The whole story is as I wrote the first time." So… I don't doubt that she wrote what she read aloud here, and the rest of the story in the book. (I never did.) I just still wonder how much of the actual text in the book was written by Angelina when she was 6 and how much was interpolated later (presumably at 8), when she wrote the final version for publication.
Plot twist. What you all don't realize it's that the poor girl in the story is the angel. And that she was sent to earth to meet with Angelina to allow her to have the experience. It was a trigger, to awaken her to her destiny.
Sorry but it is just comments like yours that perpetuate the fairy stories of gods and monsters. Virtually every major conflict in the history of the world is over some god or another. Angelina is simply an excellent example of how to raise a child, and you DO NOT need to believe in fairy stories to raise a child to have social awareness. So please keep your rather puerile claims to yourself.

Juste vous dire que le nom Angelina veut dire :MESSAGER, alors on comprend tout le sens de son don vocal.
She is an amazing young lady. She is so special in every way. Heart is as big as her voice.
She's a miracle. My old and hardened heart felt something. Maybe all is not lost for me yet.
wow.
She was six years old when she met the girl, and wrote into her diary, six! Her diary is in Norwegian, she spoke Farsi with the girl, and she speaks English and some Japanese. She is 9 years old here, after winning Norway’s Got Talent.
she is the sweetest girl ever. She describe empathy very nice.
big heart ....young child!!!
Angelina Jordan is an extraordinary voice but she is above all a great soul.
Marvelous moment ! Thank you dear Angelina .
Wow, if those are her words, and I don’t doubt they were, but at that age, a very smart young lady. Talented and gifted in many ways.
As she said, she has learned more travelling around the world than in the school. And Norway is not well known for a poor school system.
She was only 6 when she wrote that diary entry, 9 at the time of this interview.
She is so reflecting and good with words compared to her young age. Amazing!
She is such a Gift from God.
Did you know her name, Angelina Jordan Astar literally means "Messenger from God come down to bring light! No joke.
Angelina-"Messenger from God"
Jordan-"Goes down."
Astar-"as a light "
I thank Angelina Jordan so much for sharing ❤️ her life to all of us she is epic she is on top of this world and more ❤️💙😘👀😀😂😍❤️
God is going to use her in some big ways, and He already has been. She is special. A heart so pure and she is so humble. And to be able to write and think like that of the age of 6 is indescribable, I'm out of words.
This interview should be shown in schools and workplaces everywhere.
Angelina is an incredible young lady 👏👏
I love her. Her singing touches me deeply, don’t know why. May she stay away from big money. God bless her.
May big money follow her example and turn from the gods of more and reach into their top focus to turn to compassion!
She will make big money but it will not be spent on grandiose living. We will see an Astar Foundation funding charities around the world. Would not be surprised seeing her driving a ten year old car around at some point. Do not believe we will see a Lamborghini in her driveway.
@@billweekley4077 I can see The Astar Foundation, too!
I thought I was only waiting for her songs.... I also wanted these! 😊😊😊
She is an angel , with tender and kind heart, very sensitive one, the things she need to be an artist
One of the very few non-musical videos of Angelina that I find myself returning to again and again…
Back Yet Again this evening to watch this for at least the 25th time (literally). I don't know Norwegian, but I've seen this so many times now, I've started watching it without the English captions. [grin]
I wish there were more videos showing Angelina outside of her music. I can tell she is an extraordinary person. I know I will never meet her, but knowing her through videos makes me love her even more as an extraordinary human being. Lets face it, there aren't many of those in today's world.
OMG! such a big heart at such a young age. Personality-wise, she is very understated (even today). But, her diary entry revealed such a profound mind at early age. She's so adorable.
Love her voice.
World class singer.
👌👍☺️🌹
Beautiful
❤❤❤❤❤❤🎉Aj🎉
Don't understand her words but still love listening to her talking voice .
maybe You have noticed it says (eng sub) in the title, just activate cc and you'll have translation to English on your screen
@@YozhikvTumane Can you please add a link in the description to the performance segment from the same show? The official video for that is here: th-cam.com/video/wPfMzMeBLbo/w-d-xo.html

Keep in mind that what Angelina was reading in her diary she wrote when she was 6 years old - many
6-year-olds can't even write in complete sentences these days!
Warms the heart and gives one hope for the future with people such as Angelina Jordan Astar.

A little girl with angelic voice and angelic heart
Lovely amazing account. Tak for doing this Owe. Beautiful images in her mind.
The girl is just the best ever really :)
God bless you Angie & you Yozhik for putting this up for us all to see how it's done. God really has blessed her.
Angelina is precious! sweet and kind and very smart!
Yozhik v Tumane - Thanks for the subtitles ! !
AND , if you haven't before / already 'Click' on the window that appears upper left at 4:35 for her (brief) performance of Unchained Melody which was just before the interview .
Jeg blir så utrolig stolt, så vakker og empatisk liten kvinne, føler meg så heldig å få med meg litt av hennes liv, gleder meg til hennes musikk, så stolt av å være norsk liksom:-)
Beautiful interview! I number 747 to LIKE 🙂
The fact that she was so amazed and filled with wonder at the privilege of helping another human speaks volumes to her compassion and Humanity. And it's such a young age, every bit is extraordinary as her singing Talent. Her name is truly appropriate.
This is an amazing story.
🤩🤩👍👍😍😍
One of the greatest things that could happen is if she is able to meet today the girl to whom she gave her shoes to.
I've thought the same thing! That would be so wonderful! I'm sure she has desired that as well.
@@johnbattles1002 I think the girl wanted to become a doctor... may that come to be if it is what is truly right for her.
@@louisegogel7973 , yes, I think of that story very often. What Angelina did for her that day (and what she's still doing in going shoeless) always brings on the emotions in me. I think of that young unknown girl often, and hope she will someday be a well-known doctor.
And the fact that Angelina loved those sea green boots. In my world our hearts has three colors and they are red, pink and GREEN :)
She’s literally sent from the heavens. Just wow.
EL CORAZON DE ANGEL O DE ANGELINA .J
Such an amazing young lady. 💖
[wink]
Also… is it just me, or does Angelina change her voice when she's reading from the diary?
[wink] I notice that there's an edit when she starts reading (she starts with the diary in her lap, then in the next shot, it's up in the air), so it looks like they had her read the passage more than once.
i hope someday she will have her book in English, so i can buy it for my grand nieces.
You can try sending an e-mail to the publishing house.
I've heard rumors that you can get an inlay with english translation, and an English edition is more likely to happen if it's in high demand.

This video could be important if you want to understand one of the goals of Angelina. It's looks almost sur-natural if you pay not only attention of what she is reading from her diary but more if you do beleive that what she wrote is true! It is her Jacob's Ladder!! What do you think? Vær forsiktig! På gjensyn!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Wow, I hadn't heard the diary entry before. Who writes like that in their diary?? (So, not only does she sing like someone twice her age, she writes that way, too?)
I notice it's in cursive. If it were anyone except Angelina, I would say that's strong evidence that it was written *years* after the fact (she was only 6 when she met the girl) -- with her, though, I'm not so sure! [grin]
Still… I wonder if this was like a "school diary".
My children all wrote in cursive from starting school, age 5,I'm in Ireland. I know in some countries they don't but maybe this is true of Norway.
[grin]
This strongly suggests to me that the notebook she is reading from actually contains a rewritten version of the story, written specifically for publication. Hmm…
In an interview/conversation presumably recorded at around the same time as the print interview I just quoted from, Kittelsen himself said to Angelina, "A year and a half ago, I met you after quite a long time, and you asked if I wanted to read something you had written. The whole story is as I wrote the first time."
So… I don't doubt that she wrote what she read aloud here, and the rest of the story in the book. (I never did.) I just still wonder how much of the actual text in the book was written by Angelina when she was 6 and how much was interpolated later (presumably at 8), when she wrote the final version for publication.
魂を揺さぶる彼女の歌唱の原点を見たような気がする。
Thank you (^_-)-☆.
Plot twist. What you all don't realize it's that the poor girl in the story is the angel. And that she was sent to earth to meet with Angelina to allow her to have the experience. It was a trigger, to awaken her to her destiny.
Angelina is an excellent example of proof that God loves us and won't leave us comfortless in this troubled world.
