A robot won’t do its job when there’s a piece of paper that blocks its path and a person have to remove it. How do I know this? I worked at Amazon doing maintenance on various equipment. Conveyance, robots, and so on. The ones that resets and gets rid of the obstruction that gets in the way of robots, that’s another department. Then there’s the constant spills and jams that happens. People have to be present to clean up and remove jams. There’s a job just for clearing jams. And there’s a job that only my department can do to clear a specific complex jam because it involves turning off equipment. That requires a key. That requires a person to get inside. No robot can do that.

Min wage laws prevent unskilled or low skilled people from gaining entry into an industry and learning a skill then moving up the ladder. No one owes anyone an entitlement of a "living wage" - that's the individual's job to gain meaningful skills, otherwise we will have a country full of entitled dum dums who never learn STEM or any trades btw that are "blue collar" and very challenging problem solving jobs because "you owe me."
Walmart pays 15 like bye idk why they don’t raise to 23 they want everything done.
Santa's little helpers on strike!
I hope not, yesterday I ordered a bag of prunes and I need them!
Do they think there working as hard as the miners or something
Double the injury rate is OK with you?
@ oh Hi Daisy the Rich girl I know who you are, so don’t try to act like your on the poor peoples side
How much they get paid
Bro they just literally want to go to the bathroom imagine if you were told you have a timed bathroom break or you must meet your quota before you break or go to lunch.
@bonillamaun true I worked there they give you 2 15 min break for 10 hour shifts and a 30 min bathroom break total for the whole shift that's timed it's stupid like if you need to go you need to go
Everyone needs to get paid more but keep in mind, they’re receiving $22 for entry level work. Amazon still wrong. 😂
Smart move but Amazon won’t let it happen
I support the workers going on strike, but this also means a little pocket money to cross over the picket line to work. That little extra paycheck, whether temporary or not, isn't uncommon for those of us who are in need of a job, whether temp or not, when a strike goes on, it also not uncommon for those who warks over the strike lines to end up getting hired for a permanent position as well.
This is a south park episode,.and in that episode they just fired everyone and hired new people who wanted to work. Hopefully these guys get there raise.
Hey AMAZON! Guess what? You think Americans will be affected by this? You don’t understand the resiliency of Americans, we adapt overcome and improvise, we know how to pivot. Good luck but yeah thanks for trying. Just like USPS had to hire temp employees when they struck, Amazon will do the same, UPS, FedEx same same same.
All compaines hire temps when their employees go on strike, seems to be the norm.
Yeah, and the rest of us will pay higher prices because low-skilled people think they deserve to be paid the same has people with higher skills. This isn't the American way.
This is the time to do it unionize now!!!
Does this union donate to a particular political party?
It is really slow at Amazon right now, this is a stupid strike. Unions are not your friend every time.
It's literally busier than ever.
It’s Christmas
Ah, an Amazon exec, eh? LOL!!!!
They will be replaced soon 😊😊😊
Things on Amazon are not "cheaper" than you can get them elsewhere. They bake the shipping costs into your price, they rig the pricing also. Good, go on strike, and don't come back.
This workers work on a contract base they are not part of Amazon, do they know who they working for? Not Amazon for sure. So don’t get union
I’m set to apply then 😅
I think Amzon workers should go on strike since being a Amazon cares more about their customers than there workers safety Amazon get your 💩 together. I support you guys Srtike until they give in
Will it affect Virginia?
Also people who rely on Amazon for medication and medical supplies
They will not be getting their stuff, and risk sickness or death
Good thing I'm not much of a consumer and don't celebrate Christmas
Jeremiah 10
Drivers are not a blue badge! They are a third party
00:56 bought all the black beard and hair dye lol out of a snl skit
Bruh... How can you unionized against contractors lol. Union isn't always the best decision
Amazon will just pay the wage at the end then do a mass layoff shortly after citing budget cut. Prime membership rate will go up.
I actually thought they pay about same as FedEx. Amazon worker could always leave and work for them
Working at amazon is aweful - did my time during the pandemic
this is union extortion at best during the holiday.
Jeff bozo needs to cut a check smh all that damn money, pure capitalism!
