I delivered for Amazon for 3 years & the DSP's don't care. We used to get bit by dogs, slip and fall l & I'm in Texas so summers were brutal driving in 110° weather, driving in the rain getting soaking wet. They just don't care because they see u as a replacement piece. One of my co-workers was around 50 years old & she had a heat stroke & they just told her to keep working, ended up having 3 surgeries from it. That's why the turnover ratio is so high. They just don't care. SMH

Have been a delivery driver for Amazon going on 5 years, my routes are usually 375 packages a day & during the holidays close to 420 packages a day. Theres other drivers who have more then that. Amazon also expects us to finish our routes by a certain end time which is in 6-7 hrs sometimes 8 hrs if we're lucky. They always say "we encourage you to take breaks", well thats hard to do when you have the stress of meeting you're end time. Amazon is a trillion dollar company, it should pay both its warehouse workers & delivery drivers more. We work hard & give customer service daily to every customer we encounter weather their rude or not we still go the extra mile.

Flex drivers can't carry nearly as much as a normal Amazon van. They use their personal vehicles & pickup maybe 20-30 packages compared to an Amazon vehicle carrying nearly 400 packages

Amazon runs your background checks and amd drug screening. They have authority to terminate or hire you. They will tell you this at the orientation or interview

I was offered to pay $10/h for accounting job with degree required when minimum wage was $7/h. Now it’s $10/h minimum so I’d get $13-14/h. Aldi is hiring for $14/h; managers $23/h - which is all the jobs in the store - put food on the shelves, cover for cashiers and make sure the store is clean and no theft. It’s Ohio and rent is $1200-1500/mo here but people have families and bills. Move to different locations where $22/h pays your bills

Due to the current rate of inflation there's no issue with demanding more money, especially with these kind of low-skilled jobs. And who are you to determine someone's worth btw? You do understand that you also need those "low-skilled scrubs" to keep store shelves stocked so you can feed your pathetic self, don't you?

Contract work is different than being employed by Amazon. Sort of similar to DSPs.
