The shots inside the ice caves were absolutely stunning, its like something out of a movie, thanks for capturing these moments ans sharing them online, your efforts to document stuff like this is something I respect.
that ice cave was beautiful, and the words you chose to describe it's unique and limited existence were just perfect. it's easier to appreciate something as beautiful as that knowing it won't be around for long.
4:45 To me, coming to Ireland from a country with Freedom to Roam. You really do feel unwanted when you're not allowed to go anywhere except where the paths take you. So much things are walled off as well, so you cant even see anything.
I can relate to the view distance effect you talked about in Iceland. Not even from a mountainous area but we have trees everywhere, when I went to Denver to visit family I walked outside the airport and was amazed at how far I could see in every direction. Very cool effect
so eery... I feel like being in "the moutains of madness" of Lovecraft. Thanks for the series overall. Beautiful images and narration, somehow it was relaxing and thought-provoking at the same time.
An interesting fact about those glaciers: In Iceland they are called "Skríð jöklar" which means something like "Crawling" or "Sprawling" Glaciers. Named so for their behaviour.
Glaciers are really otherworldly and beautiful. It's truly a pity that all but 2 or so in the world are retreating right now. I do hope that as a species we can more effectively address climate change, both for our own sake and for the sake of preserving what is a rather gorgeous world.
is there a difference in pronounciation for glacier between British and american english? i constantly feel you are saying it wrong (at school they taught me a different pornounciation) but i am not from an english speaking country so i dont know for sure.
@@adrianflo6481 Trespass is a tort and therefore a civil wrongdoing, not a criminal offence. I think where the difference lies is that in the UK people assume trespassing is illegal, so people are against it.
i can tell you've seen all kinds of internet crazies the way you so cautiously talk about climate change or suggest someone might deny the existance of ice xD
all these Iceland vids are sick, I'd love to check it out sometime

There is. You can always google "'word' pronunciation" and itll have American and British pronunciation.

Trespassing isn't actually a crime in the UK, until, like in Iceland you're asked to move
