Introducing Captain Benzies New weight loss plan. Step 1: enter wormhole space an ignore all etiquette rules of survival. Step 2: Allow pirates to get a jump on you as your forced to jump to known warp points. Step 3: Enjoy the results as you shit yourself when the pirates warp in less than 5km of your cloaked ship.
Well done Captian !!! ...hehe Pirates get owned :) thats why is a Captain !! Iam not ofc pro whit small or medium ships , not even big ....but if I was in your fleet ... I will warp to you , ill try safe you whatever is the cost !!! ;)
I'm new to Eve - can someone explain this a bit more to me? I understand that by warping to a known thing, they can follow you, but how do they know that you warped to the planet instead of one of the belts or moons? And if you are warping at random distances (instead of always at 0 or 100), how risky is it? I am more curious how the attacker here approaches it because they were super close to getting the killmail on three separate occasions.
You know.. I've known these existed for a while, never realized what they actually were. I have a Confessor sitting around, have to get it refit so I'm ready the next time I run across one.
Great vid. Love how you show what happens even when it is a mistake on your part. Way more instructive than the text book perfect vids most people put up.
Benzie! Glad to see you're still making content. I'm the dude that started New Eden News back in Echoes; finally giving Eve Online a shot and I'm having a blast. Keep up the quality content man! o7
i had similar going to thera recently. jumped in and they already had bubbles up. some quick thinking from me had me cloaking and double-tapping in any direction which wouldn't be obvious for them to intercept me. i was in a slow-moving crane, but i survived.
Could've also made a BM while you warped away from the hecate the first time and then warped to that (and cloak if you have it or just keep warping around making new BM as you go if combat probes comes out). But yeah, BM the exit! :d
@@captainbenzie I'm skilling into so much right now. Covops frigates, T2 frigates, battlecruiser. Then all the things to upgrade my missiles and other ship systems I've neglected. Keep finding new things I didn't know existed that upgrade ships I have or are skilling into. xD
@@captainbenzie I've just decided to ignore my problems and Needlejack into null space with my 1.5m Heron to recover mentally from adding 100 days onto my skill queue and losing my brand new Drake. xD
Would love to see a big gun artillery Swiphol(?) in your C13 wormholes. Triple damage on artillery guns should make you oneshot at least the frigates if not even the cruiders. And you just don't care if you're webbed or not, you're shooting from a distance anyway....
Artillery is super risky. Sleepers are FAST and they get under your guns quickly. In a C13, whilst you're shooting target A, target B, C, D, and E are closing in. You might get a couple of them, but then the others are under your guns. I've not tried it, but if Hail can miss (Auto -25% tracking) then Artillery 100% will.
I'm wondering how long it takes to find the type of wormhole you are looking for? Do you start from null? Maybe you run the wormholes you find instead of looking for an exact type?
It’s pure luck pretty much…I’ve managed to find two-three in around as many months of playing. It’s worth knowing the entry code for them though however it’s always A009
I live in a wormhole corp. Myself and our scouts run the chain scanning everything, update Tripwire for everyone to see, and then decide what content I want to run. Basically for someone with a Svipul, Confessor etc... You mainly look for C2s but C13s are better ISK but rarer.
@captainbenzie which heavy assault cruiser do you recommend? Also, do you have any suggestions for an alpha friendly c1-c3 wh clearing build? Need one to hold me over till training is done for expeditionary frigates and T2 cruisers.
I assume that cruisers using dual 150mm rails don’t get the damage bonus because (name aside) that weapon system uses medium ammo and the bonus is per ammo type, whilst RLMLs are bonused because actually use light missiles? Hmm… could one armor tank a caracal or Cerberus….
You are correct. Duals don't qualify. They are medium weapons, whereas RLMLs are smalls. Honestly, not a good idea on the Caracal or Cerberus, but you could use something like a Sacrilege!
Basically, one of three ways: When you're IN a hole, the combat sites are a big clue, as is the sky box when you're familiar with them. Easiest way is to use Tripwire.
@@captainbenzieOh I wasn't correcting you, I was just poking fun at your pronunciation. It is _technically_ correct, but Hecate is more commonly pronounced like "he-ket." The he-ke-tee pronunciation sounds goofy.
It does look a bit like a folding stepladder with junk falling off it. But I love that CCP have animated it properly - the morphological changes in other T3s as you change mode are far less interesting, which was a real missed opportunity in my view. What ship do you prefer to be seen dead in whilst in C13 space, @drawmaster77?

Yup, making a mini-safe is a great way to do it, but hard to think of when you're having a mild panic!
Damn, that's a pretty ship. If I wasn't so damned happy with the Herons mid slots I would be gutted i had chosen Caldari xD
It's not too hard to skill into either, though it is projectiles, not missiles/hybrids... Caldari do have the Jackdaw though for their T3D.

Do you have a link for your overview settings?
I just use the Signal Cartel one. If you search "Signal Cartel Overview" on Google, you'll find it

No, it's explicitly "small weapons" not small drones. Checked and confirmed.

Does it boost light drones?
No, only small high slots.

No, I did clarify this but probably should have made it clearer =)

Whats the name of the ship??
That's a Svipul. Minmatar Tech 3 Tactical Destroyer
Isn't this just the best place to bring a blaster hecate?
For PvP sure. In PvE it takes so much time moving between ships to actually apply that DPS that it takes longer
