    I always take the train to Narita Airport. Travel time is not subjected to traffic. So I can leave the office at the last minute to catch the Narita Express.
    And if I leave on weekends, I generally have the whole day between hotel check out and plane boarding time. So I usually take the slower JR line to Narita Station and spend the afternoon there before heading to Narita Airport Station. There are luggage lockers at Narita Station.

    Thank you for the thorough vlog of transportation between Tokyo station and Narita Airport. This is really usefule & informative. Previously I prefer using the train, especially Keisei Skyliner, as it has discount ticket package with Tokyo 72hr Subway pass. But the past few years after discovering the Yaesu exit Bus, I always use it! Cheap, comfy, no need to worry about big luggage, can relax and rest well for the whole hour trip before airport rush, and very on time. There was even an occasion of a traffic jam ahead of the toll road, and the driver announced that he will take an alternative path outside toll road and swiftly switched route, and we managed to arrive even 5 mins faster than scheduled! Such a world class service in affordable range!

    I always use the Shuttle Airport Limousine Bus), very comfortable, no lugging your suitcase inside train stations and in boarding trains, plus faster. I board a cab after alighting at TCAT (bus terminal) since my hotel is very near to the bus terminal. The cab driver unload my suitcase (he also loaded it when I boarded) in front of my hotel so very comfortable for me. I'll come back when the rush has quietened down.

      I've always taken the airport limosine bus between Narita and Haneda airports to catch my domestic flight to Okinawa. I remember the price was around 2,800 yen or so. I think the difference is 2 different bus companies. I've always preferred the bus as I was coming in from SFO, and always had large suitcases. They store the suitcases in the bus cargo section and it's easy to grab at your destination. Take care!

    • @julietai7465
      @julietai7465 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Jo d’moon Not 100% sure if the one I took was the airport shuttle limousine bus. It took me direct to my hotel from Narita after making stops at other hotels. No restrictions on the # of luggages. I booked it when I booked my hotel. And, they have designated times to pick you up from your hotel back to Narita. (Return trip is optional.) Around $30 USD each way, not 100% sure.😅

    Yes, that 1300 yen Tokyo Station - Narita bus is pretty useful for its purpose. I think you're limited to 1 checked bag and one carry on but otherwise, it is faster than anything else between those two locations. With that bus, you can go to/from any of the 3 terminals at Narita and doesn't require you to go up and down deep into the basement. With a train, you only have terminal 1 and terminal 2 stops. But train is useful for other purpose like getting to a location other than Tokyo Station.

    Good video Rion! In the past I've always taken the normal express train to the airport mainly because I worried about traffic delays on the bus. From the airport, the Narita express is worth it after a 10+ hour flight, if you ask me.
