TBH 5,000 JPY for those foods feels really expensive, but totally worth it for the "Festival Entertainment"😊

I watched so many video of Rion saying "Oishii" and "Mecha oishiii" it's so weird that this video having less of that. hahaha
I remember Rion sayed that food festival in Japan will be more expensive compared to restaurants and food in the festival will probably have lesser quality.

Hey Rion, out of the past 100 or so videos that we watched, this was definitely one of the funniest.
That reaction of yours at 11:22 basically self-censoring a negative reaction to the food and your struggle through overpriced market food until you could FINALLY get something MECCHA OICHI. Glad that there at least was something good and that you kept a good humour throughout.
Happy 4th TH-cam anniversary! To at least another 4 more in happyness and GOOD FOOD!

Even you spent almost 5,000 JPY, at least you get to experience (in a way) the food and delicacies in Hokkaido and it reminds me of your saying “you pay it for the experience”. 😆 Also, you’ll have more idea now what to expect or to look forward when you do your own trip there 😊 But yes, I must say that the Strawberry Mochi really looks delicious! It made me crave of “bingsu” (korean shaved ice) 😆
As always, thank you so much for doing your best to keep us updated and filled our eyes and hearts with Japan’s beautiful sceneries 😊 Take care and God bless! 🙏

Hokkaido food festivals are not uncommon in Japan. They often appear at a department store food hall for a number of days then finish. It’s how the Hokkaido producers promote their products. (Not aware of how you could find out where they are happening unless one is literate in Japanese.)

If items to pack can be held in a paper brown bag, like bread especially if only 1 or 2 pieces; candies; burgers; small snacks like sandwich or croquettes, BUT THERE ARE WAISTBINS, then Japan doesn't need to always use plastics and MINIMIZE use of plastics which contribute to your plastic trash problem. Over heare, even groceries at supermarkets use paper brown bags, or you bring your own cloth grocery bag; foods from restaurants when ordered TO GO are placed in covered containers and then in paper brown bags, as well as any snacks bought.
