This film was absolutely amazing. It brought racist American history to life.
And educated me, as a history fan, to an even greater extent. I heard a reference
To David Fagan, whom I had sadly never heard of, and purchased a book on his
life. I did research and discovered how this case forced the military to changed.
And sadly, discovered how there was little to physically commemorate this horrible
but noble event of men pushed too far who decided to fight back regardless.
Where the gallows was is now a 15th hole of a golf course.

Even to this day no change. Just cloaked in political correctness. I use to park in Memorial Park just 50 yards from the old camp Logan entrance and take a breakfast break until, I got the call to drive up in the flatbed at an apartment complex a block away. I was approached by a white resident about my presence under the guise of a beeping backup of this truck. I gave him a polite personal history of mine. I was born in 61 and as a child growing up whites and the park police found reasons to run us out of the park. Race is just a part of it. It is more of it being a disease. HPD will be HPD. Over 60 years later they threw a handcuffed Joe Campos Torres in Buffalo bayou less than a mile away.

So, since 1917, the actions of some policemen have not changed. I can't watch the movie because real life is being played out every day. R.I.P To the loss and to all the family members who have loss their loved ones. From 1971 to date.
