Jeanie- My hip was subluxed, and my back and side felt so tight. Doing this sequence very gently got my hip back into socket without the dramatics- and paired with the breath work felt so healing. Thank you for all you do.
this is AMAZING to find, thank you so much!! this past year my EDS has surfaced and has been absolutely kicking my ass. these should help me to not feel like my hips are disintegrating!!
Hi Jeannie, just wanted to thank you for this video. My EDS diagnosis is very recent & I'm still healing from hip subluxations. I've been laid up in bed and my hips and lower back have not been happy about it. These stretches are gentle enough for me to do without any trouble, it's super helpful that I can stay in bed, and it's eliminated about 80% of the low back pain. 🙏 I'll be perusing your other videos for sure once I'm well enough to do some other exercises too.
I have pelvic floor dysfunction and recently my lower back all of a sudden started hurting really bad out of nowhere. My OT recommended your channel to me and I did this video today. Not only did it feel good to finally have a video that encouraged me to slow down and listen to my body, but it’s the first back exercises I tried that did not worsen my pain. I’m not sure if I have EDS or not but I’m planning to try activities that are more hypermobility friendly to see if that works better for my body, and so far, so good. Thank you so much!
Can’t do any other exercises when my coccyx is out of alignment except for this one! Helps me to recover much more quickly when doing these in the morning and at night before bed. Thank you for your amazing work! ❤
Okay, I've expanded on the exercises. I have added a gentle piriformis stretch for each leg and I'm doing a gentle hip flexor stretch in which I hang over a table and let the weight of my foot gently stretch the muscle. Huge difference. I was getting really worried about the hip flexor pain and the hip pain.
So as a hypermobile person I really feel like I felt no stretching at all in this, any time I try to stretch my lower back all the stretches I get I don’t feel them working :( any idea on how to help that
When I do those exercises and others that I get in Physical Therapy I don't feel anything working in my body 95% of the time. Is it normal for you not to feel those exercises work out?
@JeannieDiBonHypermobility What adaptations should I perform and what is the real goal of this type of therapy for patients like us? I would like a conversation with you so that I can understand this better.
Hi how often in a day do you recommend doing these stretches? they've helped me alot with my chronic pelvic pain these last few days since i first started trying. thank you 😊

Thank you so much this helped relieve a lot of pain this morning! Would you recommend doing this for sciatic pain?
Glad to hear it helped. This is not specific for sciatica but you may find it helps you.
Very similar to the stretches that my Osteopath recommends for lower back. Video is much easier to understand thou!
I agree, videos are easier. Glad it was helpful.

I have heard Hypermobile patients mention this yes. Time to build sensitivity.

Very happy to hear they have helped. Once a day is fine. Three times a week is how I normally start people but listen to your body.
