Have a clone of the 535, and for lighter tasks like cutting thin rope, opening envelopes or boxes it is worth the price of eur18, compared to 135 for the real one.
I bought my dad a knockoff and took it to a store to compare and a Benchmade representative was there and he could not tell it was a fake. It held up well too. Buy real anyway
Benchmade is too proud of themselves. Spyderco too. They way overcharge for average knives and the prices keep going up. Let them sit on the shelf until they get a reality check and bring their prices down. $140 for a Griptilian? Gimme a break! That should be a $50-60 knife! Yeah, I overpaid and now own a few from both companies but not buying anymore.
@@ndrake0829 Don’t try to be witty, smart guy. Do you really think it cost $187 (on Amazon right now) to make a junky, hollow plastic handle Griptilian? If so, I have a bridge in New York I’d like to sell you. “A fool and his money will soon part”….get your card out.
You can also tell by the length of screws in the handle. It they stick out, it's fake. They should be flush. It's funny my new Spyderco Stretch XL can be pinched a little on the handle, but then again it weighs just over 2 ounces and it's a beast.
Hmm 🤔 let me break it down 1. Thumb studs will be anodized differently 2. Pay attention to the font on the blade steel on the top side of blade 3. The scales will be ridged on the clones they will be flimsy Thanks for watching
Ngl that squish kinda felt satisfying for some reason
You can do the same thing with the full size bugout tho, the grivory handles just suck

You showed them 🙄
@@timpande6900 I showed them when I sold them. And now they can keep their overpriced mediocre knives
Yes because charging less than what it cost to make the knife makes sense

👍Thank you
Buy the fake for $25. Save $225. Buying American is one thing spending hundreds more for a name is another.
I know some bugout are fake but all u need to do is switch the handles material 😂
how is the steel? and hardness
I’ve lost 2 535 and just want a cheaper option 😂
Hey put a good edge on it and it’s still a knife 😂 I gifted my to my girlfriend she don’t know the difference 😂
haha thats when i went to DHgate. and got a 1:1 bug out for $13 about 10 day shipping
Bad video you compare 535 with 533
I learned nothing.
