I have noticed that local Mockingbirds mob and peck at the hawks too. Perhaps putting up a simple outdoor bird feeder may attract these hawk fighters to your area too. The Blue Jays also seem to peck at the hawks. I really like the idea of the raven sound speaker. You have good neighbors!
Yes, mockingbirds, jays, crows, ravens and related birds all seem to exhibit the same hate and behavior towards hawks. Really interesting behavior I think. And yes, I do have great neighbors indeed!!

Nice update! Birds look nice and you got a very nice flock now! What? No hoodie method? What? Lol ... sometimes you get a bird that isn't the best built bird and turns out to be a good racer! My CJC SS Champion YB was never really a model bird but she had the urge to race home fast... so you never know the winning gene my be inside of them. Best of luck racing buddy

Keep a eye on the injection pump My started to stop working continuously it will pump some and then it will skip some it will pump on a paper towel no problem but when in the bird it will skip some . Birds looking good . I order all my injections bottles in middle of the winter .
@@RFRP . I had to do the same thing I manually injected 45 birds twice once pmv and once salmonella what a job but I know they are getting the right amount of medication.
I may have one round of late hatches off that pair. At this point I don’t know the colors. I have been really pleased with their young and plan to keep them together next year!
Where are you located? My advice would be to find someone local who has healthy pigeons that you could get a few from just to get started. At first, the most important thing is to make sure the birds are healthy and to get experience caring for them. I'm glad you and your brother are interested in pigeons. It is really fun to have them! Nice footage! Birds are flying good... I wouldn't buy from that vendor ever again after their shipping fiasco. They as vendors should know that the vaccine needed to be cold during shipment, but went ahead anyway and shipped it general delivery, screwing you over, even though you mistakenly forgot to select "overnight" They should have contacted you to let you know what you had done before they shipped the order out.. Very sad business practices for sure!

I feed crows and ravens my chicken eggs and other things so they stay around and it has helped more then anything with keeping hawks away.

Are the vaccines still useable? If they ship in room temperature?
I was told by Siegels that as long as the solution has not separated the vaccine is still viable. Not sure about that though.

Not for young birds, no.
How do you keep them from breeding when your training?
