I hope your birds all come back . Great video , I’m a roller girl for 40 years . I don’t fly now . Hawk migration.. every hawk imaginable is up there ,plus falcons . My fireballs don’t fly again till end of March or beginning of April . Good luck 🍀. Your birds are in great shape

Hi the birds look great flying, love the mealy, is the drop trap smaller on the sides cause they seem to sqeeze through but they have grown ,keep up the great videos good luck
Yes the trap is a little small on the sides but I had to go with that because they want to much money for a larger antenna pad! Thanks for watching my friend 👍

Right at 5:10 when they were on the top of the roof and cooling like crazy 😍😍 I can watch them all day like that being active and everything. Good luck on then next race!

I knew you would like that video my friend. I thought of you when I made it. Today we are getting heavy rain in South Carolina. How many days after a hurricane do you think it is safe to start long tosses. Also they are planning to have a race Sunday which is day after tomorrow. Would you send your birds to that if you’re having a Big storm on Friday afternoon
@@Rocky.Ridge.Pigeons hi Mike I know the storm is big I would cancel the race. You worked so hard to get birds to this condition you don’t want to hurt them. I ask the club to cancel. It’s better to give them rest it won’t hurt. It’s raining here also. I really appreciate it I hope someday we meet. Give my love to family. 😘😘😘

I'm always amazed at how your birds actually fly. Mine just go out for 5 minutes at the most then screw around on the roof and come right back in. They are fed the best food and supplements. I'm wondering if when they are so spoiled they just don't want to leave. It's very frustrating.
Over feeding them
@@starbouyaj6482 I feed 1 Tablespoon per bird two times a day unless they don't finish the first feeding. Most of the summer I only did one feeding per day and they seemed satisfied.
Hi Vicki, still having trouble getting them birds flying! Sorry to hear that. You can simply try taking them on the road two or three times a day to build up their stamina. Use a food with a little less protein and less food altogether might help. Good luck
30 grams of flyer mix per bird per feeding morning and afternoon can do the trick. Total of 60grms per bird per day. After feeding in the morning, let them fly water can be given only after flying. In the afternoon, let them fly first before feeding to teach them how to trap fast. Gradually they will increase their flying time and do ranging. Ideal ranging time is at least an hour. Hope it helps

what distance is the next race? you feel comfortable sending them into a race with the hurricane that close?I have no experience with hurricanes but it seems kinda sketch ... heard people lose a lot of birds like that
I don’t feel to good about the storm. We just have to see what it looks like on Saturday. The second race is a repeat of the first 85 miles for us

Yes I lost a lot during training because I was impatient. But I think I still have the best ones
Oh men that’s kind a sad sometimes they take a lot of time to come back sometimes months
How do you deal with Hawks?
I had extraordinary amount of hawks last year, so this year I don’t Loft fly very often I almost always take them out on the road because I believe Loft flying attracts hawks.
If you take them out far enough they usually land as soon as they get home and go straight in. but you will notice that some years there are much more hawks than others they tend to hunt out an area and then move on.
