  • Debates over the NHL’s all-time greats have gone on for decades. Whether it be the greatest to play a given position, play for a specific team, or excel at a certain aspect of the game. The greatest to wear any specific Jersey number is no different.

Nothing against Iggy, he had a terrific career, (And I’m a Flames’ fan)
But #12 should be Yvan Cournyer

He also has 7 Stanley Cups, 4 as an Islander, 2 as a Penguin, as well as 1 as an Assistant Coach for The Colorado Avalanche. Hull had 350 more pts than Richard. At 741 goals, he more than doubled Richard's total. Henri's best season is 80pts. Hull once had a 86 GOALS season. Besides the 86 goals, he also had two 70 goals+ and two 50+ goals seasons. Hull also had four 100 pts seasons, one of which was for 131 pts. Besides Richard's 80pts season, he had two 70 pts season and two 60pts seasons. The rest of his seasons were in the 45-55 pts range.

I would dispute your pick for no 16:
Brett Hull, yes.... but, for me I would go for
HENRI RICHARD, 20 full seasons all with Montreal Canadians !
      Wikipedia:
Henri Richard has won the Stanley Cup 11 times (including 5 times in a row), more than any other player. He accumulated 1046 points (358 goals and 688 assists) in 1256 matches as well as 49 goals and 80 assists in 180 playoff matches.
Brett Hull: His career total of 741 goals is 5th highest in NHL history, 2 Stanley Cup, and he is one of five players to score 50 goals in 50 games.

Bedard probably will take #98 because he was tied for the leading scorer on the Blackhawks with Jason Dickinson with 22 goals this season

For Number 8 yes I agree on Ovi but should at least do an honorable mention to the Finnish Flash Teemu Selanne he is my all time favorite player. Also for number 19 honorable mention for Joe Sakic one of the best wrist shots in the game

this is the one that surprised me. i get picking ovi for his run at the goal record. but damn, this might be the one time on this list where it's ok to have an honorable mention. pretty hard to exclude the finnish flash.
