Buddy, it will be damn cold to ride up there and very risky as well especially at high passes because of presence of snow/ice on roads. Mostly army do not allow bikers on high passes during winters.
Assalamu Alaikum, I am speaking from Bangladesh, I heard Bangladeshis are not allowed to go to Nuvra Valley and Pangun Lake. If you tell me what to do to visit these two places, I will benefit because then I will prepare to go to Ladakh soon, in sha Allah. Thanks in advance. I am waiting for your reply 😊
Last October we visited leh by flight. I have an acute breathing problem. But we were surprised that I didn't faced any such problems. Maybe this tour was my childhood dream. Only in khardung la I had a headache for a few minutes. It was such a beautiful journey , I can't explain. And before my tour I watched all your videos.
Hey D, I’m grateful for all the ways you make travel for all of us so much better. Based on inputs from your various blogs we're planning a 10 night trip to Ladakh in the month of April. Pls have a look at our tentative itinerary and help us fine tune it. Please answer few questions that we have for you. And please give your opinion / suggestions. Once we finalize itinerary we'll concentrate on accommodations and transportation. We don't want check-in / check-out every other day and rather have less hectic travel plan and like to spend more relaxed days in picturesque locations. 10 NightsTentative Itinerary. 3 Nights in Nubra Vally, 3 night beside Pangon Lake & 4 (2+2) Nights in Leh. On Day 1 (night stay at Leh) Rest after reaching hotel On Day 2 (night stay at Leh) 1. Singo castel?? 2. Shanti Stupa (afternoon/eveni ) 3. Hall of fame 4. Yang or Spitu Monestry 5. Which are the places to visit & what are the things to do during our 3 night stay by Pangon Tso? What to do on day 7 & 8? Q4. Considering the above itinerary - on which day we should we visit Hemis Monestry, Stakna monastry, Thiksey monastry and Shey palace? Q5. Your suggestions / openion pls. Thank you for reading. Regards, John
Hey John, I am sorry, I got late in replying. Since it was a long comment couldn't reply from phone :) Here are my inputs 1. You should visit Turtuk on Day 4. It will make it balanced. 2. You may skip Sumur and Panamik. There isn't much that you may not already have seen and as you said you would like to keep it relaxed better spend all that time in Turtuk, Hunder and Diskit. 3. Well, since you are traveling in April, it is going to be very very cold at Pangong Lake with lake being partially frozen. I will say you be better skipping the Day 8 there. You should rather head back to Leh on Day 8 to save a day. You can visit monasteries then next day at easy pace or just relax in Leh more if you want to visit the monasteries on the way back from Pangong lake. There isn't much of sightseeing at Pangong lake, just the lake and roam around the villages. 4. I answered above in 3. Either dedicate a day skipping one extra day in Pangong or do them on the way back only. I hope this helps. Feel free to let me know more questions you may have.
@@discoverwithdheeraj hello D, Thank you for your earlier reply. Based on your vital inputs, we are changing our 10 nights itinerary, starting in first week of April. We want to stay in scenic locales... Want to avoid every day check-ins / Check-outs... Overall less hectic trip. We'll be skipping Sumur -Panamik as you suggested. We r planning to avoid Tso Moriri as it will be much colder than Pangon and as you advised in one of your vlog. Please have a look and tell us your thoughts on our revised Plans. Your opinion matters. Plan A: 2 nights in Uleytokpo > 2 nights in Turtuk > 2 nights in Hunder > 2 nights in Pangon > 2 nights in Leh Plan B: 3 nights in Uleytokpo > 3 nights in Turtuk OR 3 nights in Hunder > 2 nights in Pangon > 2 nights in Leh Whether to go with Plan A or Plan B? If its Plan B then 3 night in Turtuk or Hunder? We find ourselves full of doubt. Thanks for taking the time. Regards, John

Hello Dheeraj Thanks for this informative video. I found this very useful. I am planning a trip to Ladakh this month(September). Can you please suggest a good trip planner? I prefer a group bike trip. It is my very first time in the mountains. It will be a couple trip and I can fly to Leh. Thanks in advance.

We are planing to go 6 days in Kashmir from Delhi and than 6 days to Leh Ladhak again by flight in July , pls advice about AMS and all other tips you can give. We are planning 6 days in Srinagar, another 6 days in Leh Ladhak and 2 days in Delhi and back ro Mumbai after 2 weeks break. Need advice. Family of 4.
Best will be to take road trip to Leh from Srinagar instead of flying. You will get better acclimatization than flying directly. You need to stay over 2000-2500 mtrs to get your body acclimatize. So better option is to take night halt at Kargil and then by road to Leh next day

Wanted to do a one-way road/ air trip. Would you suggest driving from Srinagar-leh and flying back from leh or flying to leh and driving back from leh-manali?
Best ways as per acclimatization is going from srinagar to Leh by road and then flying out. However, if you really wish to do Manali Leh Highway then it is better to fly to Leh, acclimatize, do Ladakh sightseeing and then travel Leh to Manali by road.
Thank you so much Dheeraj Sir. Thank you so much for such a detailed guidance Sir. May I ask if obese people say for example weight between 80 to 90 kilos can travel to Leh. Does it cause complications due to low oxygen levels over there Sir?
Maria, I am not a medical expert on it but I think as long as you are following the acclimatization tips (Check video: th-cam.com/video/8XijLqr6O0Y/w-d-xo.html) then you should be OK. However, plz DO NOT treat it as medical advice and you MUST consult your doctor by telling the condition to them and telling that you will be traveling to High altitude places. So, ask them for proper medical advice there.
Hi first of all, very informative video. Second i want to ask i am planning for 10days in leh in april 4-14th. Any trip planner which offers bikes as well as a maintenance car along contact would be helpful to me. Also would this a food time to visit?

Well, if you follow the itinerary of 9 days in the video where I talk about adding Tso Moriri lake in the plan that is where you can do Puga when returning from Tso Moriri lake towards Tso Kar lake.
@@discoverwithdheeraj Thank you. What i meant to ask is in case my bike has a mechanical issue and does not start at all, so in this case if I'm with a back up provided team then I'm safe since if bike not repaired it will be toed to the near by workshop. If I'm riding without such support then will i get any support there??? How to manage.
Yes, in such a case if you can afford for the mechanic and spare vehicle services then you can take it. Main thing is that if you have a group of 5-6 riders then the cost makes sense else it becomes very costly.
Hi Dheeraj i have seen your video but i want to go with my family by car in may mid. pls suggest me the route and best itinerary , and from where i can book rooms also
If you are flying to Leh, sleeping for 2 nights and then 3rd night at Lamayuru, it is fine in general. Just follow the acclimatization tips from my video.
Thanks quick reply , yes I'm flying direct ccu to Leh we are stay 2 days at Leh after that I'm move to moonlad after that we have planned to go hunder then Tso Pangong and Tso moriri. Thanks again❤

Very informative video👍🏻 planning to go in june last week.. hopefully it doesn’t rain at that time.. also the cab drivers no which you mentioned.. can we book them for our whole trip?
By air you can visit but go prepared for a winter trip to Ladakh. Please check following two videos of Winter Ladakh Trip and then we can discuss further what you think of planning there: Leh Ladakh in Winter 2024 - How, Why & Most Important Tips [Winter Trip to Leh Ladakh]: th-cam.com/video/VsMQdaoE9zA/w-d-xo.html 2024 Leh Ladakh Winter Trip Itinerary | Ladakh Trip in January, February, March | Ladakh Winter Ride Plan: th-cam.com/video/mXtLsfPbSGs/w-d-xo.html
Any one seeing this video planning for delhi-manali- shinkula -shirsila-leh-panggong-manali- delhi. On bike , i am doing this route in month of june any one up for co op ?
There is no need to think too much about oxygen and there is no need to keep on taking without any symptoms. Based on your itinerary in previous comment on other video, I can say that acclimatization-wise wise you should be OK. Just keep drinking fluids and keep body hydrated. Oxygen should only be taken when absolutely required or in case someone is feeling ill or uneasy. You may carry an oximeter but don't just keep using it without any symptom because it can cause psychological effect too :D ... Better use to identify if there is need to take oxygen or not. However, like I said, your itinerary is by road from Srinagar Leh, taking precautions/following tips mentioned in the video here: th-cam.com/video/8XijLqr6O0Y/w-d-xo.html you should be OK. Please note small oxygen cans don't last much and doesn't help in real need. Your taxi driver can carry a rented oxygen cylinder with kit through the trip. They are available in Leh for rent.
AMS problem can happen anytime to anyone.. Month or season does not play big role but yes traveling in season time always help because body do not need to worry fighting cold conditions. So, July will help you better acclimatize but you should follow the tips of acclimatization. Check my video: th-cam.com/video/8XijLqr6O0Y/w-d-xo.html
Very informative video Dheeraj. We are planning a trip starting last week of May with similar itinerary. We are a group of 4, planning to travel on 2 bikes from Leh. Just a little doubt on logistics of luggage... Say we book a budget guest house in leh. We also plan 1-1 night each stay at pangong and tso moriri lakes. How do we manage our booking at Leh, because I feel it wont be practical to carry the whole luggage with us everywhere. Please suggest.
Most will give you a locker/storage room to keep your luggage if you are returning back to the same hotel. So, you should be able to get help there. Sometimes even bike rental folks may help you with nominal fee. Just carry locks for the luggage just in case even though Ladakh is very safe mostly.
No one verifies that strictly in general but if they want to then they can do it using your flight details or hotel check in details in Leh and the environment fee dates. There are still gaps and questions in it but if they want to, this way they may enforce it. However it is not matter of if authorities enforce or not, it is matter of your own safety against AMS.. it is always recommended to spend at least two nights in Leh so your body gets acclimatized before doing any further sightseeing in Ladakh
Hi Dheeraj, thank you sharing the detailed itinerary. I have a trip planned for mid April by flight and I want to go to Umling la pass, so could you please share details about this? Like how to go or if there’s any permit needed?
Well in that case you need to 1-2 days, one to Visit Hanle from and then one in Hanle to visit Umling La. by leaving early from Hanle you can visit Umling la, come down back to Hanle and then go over to Tso Moriri lake the same day. This will save a day for you. No permits are needed for Hanle or UmlingLa pass anymore just the environment fee that you will pay
@@discoverwithdheeraj great thank you so much for your reply and the detailed information. I also went through your blog on Umling la but couldn’t get accurate information based on the current conditions there at the moment. I have a couple of questions if you could answer them plenty. 1. Based on the itinerary shared by you, I will be visiting Pangong and I read in your blog that Hanle is about 170 KMs from Pangong, so would it be better to reach Hanle directly from Pangong and then come down to Tso moriri next day and then back to Leh city? Or would it be better to visit Hanle directly from Leh on the 3rd day of trip and then Pangong then Hunder? In my opinion, the following circuit should work: Hunder-> Pangong-> Hanle-> Tso Moriri-> Leh. Please let me know. 2. Will there by any restrictions to go to Umling La by Indian Army?
Bhai, do not do the circuit in opposite direction. Plz choose the direction that you wrote above that is leh to Nubra to pangong to Hanle then start early from Hanle, visit Umling La and reach Tso Moriri by evening that day. Also for Umling La, if you checked my old English video then I will say plz check the latest Travel Guide cum Chat video I made for Umling La pass here Umling La Pass 2023 Travel Guide - Umling La Pass Permit -Umling La Bike Ride Highest Motorable Pass th-cam.com/video/_7Lv5prOTDk/w-d-xo.html It should clear all you doubts for it. No permit or special permit needed from army to visit Umling La pass as per last year at least.

yes possible in October but just travel on highway after seeing weather update. If it predicts snow on Zojila then avoid else can travel. It will get cold though in Ladakh in October.
Hi Bro, We want to visit Leh. Which month is better July 1st week or Sept last week? 1. We are traveling by air 2. We want to experience snow 3. We are planning for private driver not bike Can you suggest?
Well, for snow both these months are not ideal. September end only snow will be present if it snows just before or during the days of your travel. July will have limited snow from the last season. July 1st week will be more pleasant in terms of weather but September end will be great in terms of beautiful fall colors.
I want to visit Siachen base camp, Umlingla.. Will go and return by air.. Total 10days..me and my ten years old daughter.. Please suggest an ideal itinerary..
Leh rest Leh local sightseeing and rest Leh to Nubra, Diskit Hunder Day trip to Turtuk and go to sleep at Sumur side Sumur to Siachen Base Camp to Sumur and then continue to Pangong Pangong to Hanle Hanle to Umling La day trip Hanle to Tso Moriri Tso Morir to Tso Kar (Pugga) to Taglang La to Leh Rest in Leh / Buffer day
You have said that depending on health situation at Nubra, we should think of proceeding or not proceeding to Pangong. However, hotels are already prebooked at one location with full payment. How to handle this?
It is tough to handle such a situation when bookings are done. However, safety and health should always come first especailly in the remote land/areas of Leh Ladakh where real help is distant away, mostly in Leh.
Hi Dheeraj, We are travelling to Leh via flight from 5th May to 14th May. We want to add Tsomoriri in our trip. We are travelling with Kid of 8 yr. Can you please advise should we go to tsomoriri from Pangong or should we go back and then cover from Leh? Also if stay options will be available in Tso moriri at that time as online not getting any stay option to book in karzok.
Stay options will be limited only to homestays as camps would not be setup. You can travel to Tso Moriri from Pangong. Please bear in mind that both the lakes will be pretty cold, so go prepared
We couple planned to visit leh in mid September 24, will reach leh by air. Shall we pre-book group tour in advance or book from local agency once we reach there ? Any suggestions for local budget group tour operator.
Plz clarify me qouestion is from where we can start our bike trip ?? And then can we travel with wife ?? And then can we do circuit that from srinagar to leh ladakh den ending leh manali road.
Well it will be very much inconvenient as you have to rent bike at multiple places. Outside rented bikes are not allowed for sightseeing in Ladakh. Better travel to Leh using other modes of travel and then rent bike in Leh for local ladakh sightseeing
Usually that is what happens but then last year the bike unions had issues and they said Sarchu will be the point where bikes cannot cross. Like Manali rental bike cannot go beyond Sarchu and Leh rental bikes cannot go beyond sarchu
Sir May me jana chahta hu with family. 4 saal ka bachcha sath me rahega. Kya usko le ja skte hai aur kya woh har jagah ghoom sakta hai. Oxygen level issue.

Preferably owned by tourism department or some good private operators . I have been following you and really appreciate the info you'd shared. Thanks
Dheeraj bhai, this channel has everything you may need to plan a succesful Leh Ladakh trip including all the questions you have asked. Since 2021 end of season, Indian do not need any permit anymore in Ladakh for regular sightseeing. You just need to pay the Ladakh Environment Fee on the website and carry the receipt of it. Here is the link where you need to pay it: www.lahdclehpermit.in/register-as-domestic Current Ladakh environment fees are broken down as following: 1. Environment Fee = Rs 400 one time 2. Wildlife Fee/Something = Rs 20 per day 3. Red Cross Fee = Rs 50 one time but Optional, you don’t need to pay if you don’t want to. DO NOT confuse environment fee receipt with permit. You just need to carry this fee receipt, hard copy or soft copy. This receipt will be checked at various checkposts. Hence, people are confusing it with permit but this is just verification that you have paid the fees. Hi Dheeraj, I have planned to visit Ladakh on May month via flight. We are planning to visit there by hiring motor byke, is this a good Idea ? We are 2 friends. Kindly suggest.
Yes buddy, you can plan the trip by renting a motorbike. Just keep in mind that at times if there is too much snow on passes in May, especially early May, you may not be allowed to travel to Nubra or Pangong over high passes on bikes.
I am planning to visit leh on 5th march to 10th march via flight. This is our first self-planning tour with my husband. kindly help me which places we can cover.
Hi Kamalika, it will be more like winter trip to Ladakh during that time. Since you have just 5 days assuming 10th you fly back, I will say take two days of rest in Leh, then go to Nubra for two days and finally make a day trip to Pangong lake.
As per your information, i called Rizgin bhai... 1st time he received my phone and told me all the details. After the next day i called him so many times but the number was switched off. I want to confirm him but his number is till now unreachable.
It will still be cold, you need to fly to Leh as mostly roads to Ladakh from Srinagar side may not still be open for tourists to travel. Plus lakes will most likely be partially frozen if not fully frozen.

For bike rentals or bike tours in Leh Ladakh, personally, I can recommend Ladakh Bike Rental shop run by Gurmat Namgial (+91-9419980089), (+91-9419303024), ladakhbikerental@gmail.com. Gurmat is a dear friend, a reliable and trustworthy guy based out in Leh.
Saw your video, I have booked my flight tickets from pune.havent booked my stay yet ,will be booking Zostel.I am confused should I book all the days in Zostel or only for initial two days.as your suggesting I can stay in other places however I will be depended on shared tour so I don't know what kind of plan will be made.please help.
Book initial two days and rest you can figure out when landing there and exploring. Now a days tempo traveler union has started shared tempo travelers for tourists, you can book the seat on them. Whatever you do, do not break the sequence of visiting sightseeing places in Ladakh. First Nubra always, then Pangong and then rest
@@discoverwithdheeraj I have booked all the days in Zostel leh to avoid any kind of confusion that on which days where should I go,so incase I go pangong lake and stay ,it is flexible.

Glad to know you had a wonderful trip
What about the snow in October? We are planning to visit in October. Kindly reply.

Hey D,
I’m grateful for all the ways you make travel for all of us so much better.
On Day 1 (night stay at Leh)
Rest after reaching hotel
On Day 2 (night stay at Leh)
1. Singo castel??
2. Shanti Stupa (afternoon/eveni )
3. Hall of fame
4. Yang or Spitu Monestry
5. Eat at Gesmo Restaurant and Lama Yuri Restaurant
On Day3 (night stay at Hunder - Nubra valley)
Leh to Nubra valley. 126kms. 6hrs.
>Khardung la > Diskit Monestry > night stay at Hunder
On Day4 (night stay at Hunder - Nubra valley)
>Hunder sandunes - camel ride,
(Can we do Turtuk day trip (90km from Hunder) on the same day?)
On Day5 (night stay at Hunder - Nubra valley)
>Turtuk day trip. Spend 3 to 4hrs in Turtuk. 1 hr Trek to waterfall. with Thang village in LOC. (90km from Hunder. 2 hrs drive)
On Day6 (night stay near Pangon Lake)
Hunder (Nubra vally) to Pangon Tso direct route via Shyok or Warila.
Stay at JKTDC or Pangong Homestay available at Spangmik village or else in Lukung village. Or else at Tangsay.
On Day7 (night stay at Pangon Lake)
On Day8 (night stay at Pangon Lake)
On Day9 (night stay at Leh)
Pangon Lake to Leh. 170kms. 7hrs.
On the way visit Hemis Monestry, Stakna monastry, Thiksey monastry, Shey palace??
On Day10 (night stay at Leh)
Leh Sightseeing
Sham Vally (Alchi monastry > Likir monastry > Basgo palace, Basgo dunes, Lunch at Nimu, Indus - Zanskar river confluence. Eat local authentic Tibetan food as well as samosas. Go for Nimmu to Chiling drive. Do Chiling to Nimmu rafting. On way back visit Gurudwara & Magnetic hills
Considering the above Itinerary [3 Nights in Nubra Vally, 3 night beside Pangon Lake & 4 (2+2) Nights in Leh]:
Q1. When to visit Turtuk? On Day3 or 4 or on Day 5? On the way to Hunder from Leh - on Day3? During stay - on the 2nd day at Hunder or on 3rd day at Hunder?
Q2. In this itinerary when to visit Sumur - Panamik?
Regards,
John
Hey John,
I am sorry, I got late in replying. Since it was a long comment couldn't reply from phone :)
Here are my inputs
@@discoverwithdheeraj
hello D,
Thank you for your earlier reply.
Plan A:
2 nights in Uleytokpo > 2 nights in Turtuk > 2 nights in Hunder > 2 nights in Pangon > 2 nights in Leh
Plan B:
3 nights in Uleytokpo > 3 nights in Turtuk OR 3 nights in Hunder > 2 nights in Pangon > 2 nights in Leh
Whether to go with Plan A or Plan B? If its Plan B then 3 night in Turtuk or Hunder? We find ourselves full of doubt.
Thanks for taking the time.
Regards,
John
John, I will go with Plan A as it will ease out the journey and spread it evenly across

For 5 days or 7 days tour what will be Innova car charges
Depends on your itinerary totally. What is your itinerary?

Hi Dheeraj, please let me know if backup vehicle n mechanic support mandatory to do Leh Ladhak bike ride this year June
There is no such mandatory guidance. It is matter of choice only if you need those services or not. It is all up to you.

If any of the symptoms arise, should we immediately start taking oxygen? Should we keep taking oxygen throughout the trip from small cans?

We r planning for 10 days vacation pls suggest when we should visit Kargil memorial?
Are you flying into Leh and flying out of Leh and following the itinerary in the video above and want to fit the Kargil War Memorial with it?
Who verifies if we had stayed 48 hours in Leh? And how?
In my opinion, the following circuit should work:
Hunder-> Pangong-> Hanle-> Tso Moriri-> Leh.
Also for Umling La, if you checked my old English video then I will say plz check the latest Travel Guide cum Chat video I made for Umling La pass here Umling La Pass 2023 Travel Guide - Umling La Pass Permit -Umling La Bike Ride Highest Motorable Pass

It should clear all you doubts for it. No permit or special permit needed from army to visit Umling La pass as per last year at least.

Thanks in advance

October month srinagar to leh by road trip possible?
yes possible in October but just travel on highway after seeing weather update. If it predicts snow on Zojila then avoid else can travel. It will get cold though in Ladakh in October.
Hi Bro, We want to visit Leh. Which month is better July 1st week or Sept last week?
1. We are traveling by air
2. We want to experience snow
3. We are planning for private driver not bike
Can you suggest?
Well, for snow both these months are not ideal. September end only snow will be present if it snows just before or during the days of your travel. July will have limited snow from the last season. July 1st week will be more pleasant in terms of weather but September end will be great in terms of beautiful fall colors.

All the best for your trip
Cn we go ladakh in sept -oct
Yes you can, the more into October more colder and riskier by road it gets..
Hey hi nice information
I’m planing in June 3 is this a good month to travel or April is good
June is better time to travel Ladakh than April
Can we rent a self driven car in Leh ?
No self drive cars available in Leh
We couple planned to visit leh in mid September 24, will reach leh by air. Shall we pre-book group tour in advance or book from local agency once we reach there ? Any suggestions for local budget group tour operator.
Not reallt needed to prebook in September

Can we travel leh ladkah with wife ??and that road trip with rented bike route frm srinagar to leh ladakh and den leh manali route ???
Plz clarify me qouestion is from where we can start our bike trip ?? And then can we travel with wife ?? And then can we do circuit that from srinagar to leh ladakh den ending leh manali road.
Well it will be very much inconvenient as you have to rent bike at multiple places. Outside rented bikes are not allowed for sightseeing in Ladakh. Better travel to Leh using other modes of travel and then rent bike in Leh for local ladakh sightseeing
@@discoverwithdheeraj if we rent bike from manali den upto leh we can use it ??? Den frm leh we have again rent diffnt bikes ??
Usually that is what happens but then last year the bike unions had issues and they said Sarchu will be the point where bikes cannot cross. Like Manali rental bike cannot go beyond Sarchu and Leh rental bikes cannot go beyond sarchu
Sir, hanle or leh manali highway, which is better to view.
Both have their own beauty you will not go wrong with anyone of them
is Leh - Ladakh Permit also required if person travel via FLIGHT?
No permit needed anymore in Ladakh it is the ecology fee that you have to pay by anyway you go. So even with flight you have to pay this fee

Now is it a good visit April 23 to may 11. And are roads okay right now what ever you mentioned in this video??
Well, roads within Ladakh are mostly open. The road to Changla Pass - Pangong was closed for a day or two due to snowfall.
@@discoverwithdheeraj oh then how to go there? Is there any other way???
IT will open in couple of days within Ladakh but there is a road from Nubra to Pangong via Shyok which is open.

Hi Dheeraj, I am planning a trip to Ladakh in Mid March with my family. Need some help in right itenary planning, bookings, permits and cabs. Could you please advise where can I get info on these. Preferably owned by tourism department or some good private operators .
I have been following you and really appreciate the info you'd shared.
Thanks
Also if you can advise in March Mid, will the route from Nubra to Pangong will be open and can be traveled by cab.
Here is the link where you need to pay it: www.lahdclehpermit.in/register-as-domestic
Current Ladakh environment fees are broken down as following:
1. Environment Fee = Rs 400 one time
2. Wildlife Fee/Something = Rs 20 per day

Thanks for this update 😊🙏

Hi Kamalika, it will be more like winter trip to Ladakh during that time. Since you have just 5 days assuming 10th you fly back, I will say take two days of rest in Leh, then go to Nubra for two days and finally make a day trip to Pangong lake.
kindly share car driver number . can i booked them for 5 days?

It is completely OK, they might have gone on a trip where signal is not present, after few days it shall be working again
By air
april second week good to go?
It will still be cold, you need to fly to Leh as mostly roads to Ladakh from Srinagar side may not still be open for tourists to travel. Plus lakes will most likely be partially frozen if not fully frozen.
