The number of people who seek to “rehome” their pets, or “accidentally” lose them in the process of a move to a location having pet restrictions are astounding. Kev, you’re a righteous man and the world is better because of you.

Simple soloution to parking where you want to for the night is take the dog to the toilet somewhere else near by, then go park up. Next morning just drive straight off to the nearest park or green belt. As for groceries, most supermarkets offer click and collect. Pull up grab them from the locker and go. Not many people have others who can help them out so this is how they manage..
Rupert is lucky to have you. Thank you for taking such good care of him. Our pets never betray us or hold grudges. Mine are like my children. Hoping the best for you and Rupert from the US.
got cameras all around my van inside and out so do leave dog when in supermarket etc, would not leave him all day but an hour or 2 is fine because i can watch him on camera, i make sure i can get back within couple of mins in an emergency

You are a very responsible dog owner. i admire you for that. my next door neibours have just moved in and they have a dog. a cockerpoo breed. lovely freindly dog, but they like going out every day and night and leave the poor dog on his own for hours! he howls and wants their company. i really dispise dog owners that treat a dog like this! why have a dog at all.. great videos. thanks for sharing your journeys with us.
Great video mate. That's one reason why I haven't got myself a dog yet as leaving it on own while at work. Might think more about getting one come next November when I can give up work for good
Such a great video Kev and what an amazing dog parent. I am 63 and my girl will be our last dog for the very same reasons you have given. Our girl comes everywhere with us and if that’s not possible we take her to a family member to be cared for whilst we are out because let’s face it we wouldn’t leave the kids home alone so the dog doesn’t stay home alone either. Very important video. Looking forward to the next one love
Spent 3 month in my van last year, shopping with the dog was tricky at times, like you I didn't feel comfortable leaving him in the van, so I didn't do it. Guy at the local shop let me give him a list. I did wonder about getting a video camera in the van as a possible solution to the supermarket. Also look into shop online and collect, I think you can just pull up and get your stuff.
Hey mate, my little doggie he motivates me to walk. He’s there for a companion. My little Chihuahua just turned 12 today and we’re celebrating our anniversary nine years together.😊
I have just subscribed , you are a very nice person kev , you deserve this channel to sky rocket 🚀 i guarantee you will get there , keep the videos coming please.
I tend to try and find a parking spot where I can just let my dog out through the side door on and extendable lead, I can stay in the van while she pops out for a wee, luckily she is not big so she is not difficult to keep dry, I accept that she will jump straight on my bed. I feed her dry food. (good stuff) I do tend to stay in regular spots that allow me to let her out without getting out of the van.
I kinda of feel the same way about my dog, she is a corgi mix. Hard to go shopping or even leave her alone at the house. She always wants to go for a car ride.
My last elder animal companion died in the spring. As much as I love a companion animal, I'm not willing to deal with these issues that come up when traveling or moving around. So no more pets for me... I do "sit" from time to time to get my critter-fix. But that's it.
Hi Kev, truly m8 un selfish people like yourself are a dying breed, your love and care for Rupert is clearly obvious which is an amazing thing to watch. thanks for trying to make other van lifers aware of the difficulties that they would have should they live in a van with a dog, God bless you and Rupert, it was wonderful to see you again m8 keep up the great work.

I’ll stop watching here as you are banging on about the same point for nearly 11 minutes now, it’s ok to be OTT, 5 cats put the cats outside because that’s what cats do and brimg your dog - that person would have suggested this makes you think….
They don't call dogs "man's best friend" for nothing. I'm glad you have each other in your lives, it sure makes all the difference.

My staffy doesn't like a coat put on she freezes on the spot and won't move
Are industrial estates not one of the best places to parkup?
I think so, if you're away from your preferred spot....Kev
make the dog a waterproof coat for walks when it's raining or buy one 😀
Last thing you want in this lifestyle is a cat or dog. Small space. Unless you have kennel to put outside at night
