Just the plain kick/snr/oh sound is terrific! Good job!🤌
Thank you! I tried a lot of things to get the most out of my small room🤟🙏🤣
Really impressive sound for that tiny room!
Thanks! ✌exactly that was my goal with this video, to show that you can achieve a great drum sound even when you have to record your drums in small rooms!
Great video!! I like The hallway and room samples The best.
Thanks! I agree, if I think the room I'm recording in sounds too small, I always try to use a hallway mic. If that doesn't work, I opt for room samples ✌️
Your channel is underrated. I am the 101st subscriber. We will go places.
Thanks for the sub and the kind words! If you have any topic that I should make a video about, then just let me know! I am always happy for suggestions!

Great drum sound right from the start. Love the hallway mic !
Thank you! Yeah, the hallway mic is a great solution for smaller live rooms!
Great!! Thanks
🙌🙌🙌
Great stuff. Wow
Thank you! 🙏🏻
Awesome video! What kind of Overheads microphone did you used in this video?
Thank you! I used t.bone rb500, fairly cheap ribbon mics from Thomann🤟
Thanks for the video and sharing your samples.
No worries, I hope this video helps you improve your drum sound! Cheers!
I was never able to get that punch out of the snare. Can you make a video about the gear, tuning and whatever you can share about that? That snare sounds amazing... Awesome video. ❤
Hi Pedro, thanks for the nice comment! I have already made a video about processing: th-cam.com/video/UmzbxvLZ-_w/w-d-xo.html
But I will try to make a video about how gear, tuning, recording etc🤟😁
Hi Pedro, here is the link to the video where I explain how I achieve my snare sound, have fun! th-cam.com/video/6LjUcqB3Cdg/w-d-xo.html
Thank you! When adding room samples do you use the slate trigger plug-in or do you paste them and line them up manually?
I use Slate Trigger for that. Especially for room samples that works very well, because room samples don't have to be perfectly aligned to the original hits like direct samples do! While I am writing this I get an idea to make a video about a deep dive into Slate Trigger. it has so many great options that not many people use...😅
These extra dynamic mics you have are they panned in any way?
OR are you relying solely on reverb to give a sense of stereo imagery, please?
The single microphone is panned in the center, this should just give some depth to the recording.
The signals of the stereo microphone are panned hard left & right. They are panned the same way as the overheads: the microphone facing the hi-hat is 100% left, and the one facing the ride cymbal is 100 % right. (As a drummer I always pan drums drummer's perspective) 😅✌
What DAW is this? JW! Doesn’t look familiar so I’m curious lol
Hi, it's REAPER from Cockos 😀
I'd love to know how big your drum room is?
my room is about 3,5 x 4,5 meters 😅
