"I am good with teammates finishing people off" - PQ, 2023
the only streamer it seems that is ok with other people getting kills.
Remember when everyone thought Vermont was going to be the worst ship to ever be released on wows?
To be fair the first iteration released wasn't great - 14ish detect, no special heal (80s reload, 10% citadel heal instead of the 40s reload and 50% citadel heal), no improved acceleration and no 50mm plating. Only thing better was that the shells had better flight time and pen but it wasn't really enough to make it popular
Yeah then they over buffed it to be one of the best in the game
Granted it was still capable of smashing things even then, but it was very hard to do so. Now its way easier to pull off. The 28km cross-map smashes were easier back then so it was trade i guess?
When it came out it was
*Laughs in Anhalt*
German dispersion + tiny guns= probably one of if not truly the worst ship in the game. That or Sun Yat Sen, ugh that thing is terrible.
Multiple Thunderers were harmed in the making of this video
I live in Vermont and was happy when they added it.
Ayy, me too!
This ship has made me want to move to Vermont
@@SJB117 I live in the Vermont. Second turret to the left
Great advice on turning out. I need to play more BB’s and just chill. Thanks PQ! o7
A PQ vid with Boggzy perishing, ya love to see it
Grinding the Minnesota to get the Vermont . Nice to see these tutorials even if they are not billed as such.
I got the T8 and T9 premium IJN BCs, and this this is a great idea after playing those. Heck, GK and just tanking longer is good therapy considering how squishy these IJN ships are. Cheers!
Gk these days is worse than angled Minotaur.
Vermont is the best BB in the game. You can't change my mind. Brik is love. Brik is life.
When you assemble a captain for her it becomes; Brisk is love, Brisk is life.
This video made me finally get the Vermont, and my first game in it I broke my record for damage done.
She will always be in the roster for me.
Can't wait to get it, still at the Kansas...
I just unlocked the Minnesota after grinding with Kansas in ranked. No way am I gonna play that ship. Kansas was too painful already. Gonna collect fxp to jump to BRICK
Just skip to Vermont, Kansas and Minnie are hot garbage
@@DarthLinpaws Skipped both of them with free XP. Love their unique appearance but after everything i did see from them i knew that its worth to save some Credits and dump some of my free XP stack here.
Ignore the folk who say Kansas and Minnesota are bad, they're good if you abuse the hell outta that turn circle, plus they can still easily dev strike anything off the map.
Still weird the Kearsarge has a better broadside than Minnesota with 4 seconds less reload...
@@WindIsCalm I would agree. Kansas ad Minnesota are alright, although not as good as Vermont tier for tier. Kearsarge's better broadside with 4 sec off the reload + planes is certainly game balance.
Thoughts on the Montana legendary upgrade? I quite enjoy it in that tanking kiting baiting role, but it does further reduce your ability to go dark and turn out as you discuss... maybe less important in cv/sub games so making the tradeoff more worth it?
PQ playing the Vermy brings me joy
i wish the upcoming us super BB was a vermont with it's combat instructions being a reload booster
Brick smash!
where can i find these genius showing broadside LRcenter 24/7
The one thing about Vermont that is really over the top is the concealment. Id completely understand a nerf to ~13.5km.
nobody should accept a nerf to anything they paid for, fk that completely, why do people accept this shit, they can test retest triple test anything before it going for sale, once it does any nerf is fkg stupid and a rip off
The irony of it is that its side-profile is by far the largest thing around as far as BBs are concerned. I think only the American Hybrid BBs or CVs in general come close to showing as much side as this thing, and at least they can be excused for having boxy flight-decks on top.
Even the Yamato-hulled ships in the game have a lower profile than it but somehow have over 2 kms worse concealment than it.... HOW!?
@@vtr0104 what does BB stand for? and CV? Battleship and carrier obviously, what is the BB/ CV for?
@@scotty5166 The double letters were started in the 20's by the Navy when they realized that so many ship types were being built that their old system of using one letter and a number was making hull identification confusing. The new system allowed for some manner of variation.
BB designated a traditional battleship (battleship-battleship), differentiated from other nations's versions of it, such as the British or German BCs (battleship-cruiser) of the recently concluded WWI.
Same went for destroyer-destroyer or submarine-submarine.
The only abnormality was carriers recieving CV (carrier vessel) when, at the time, CL (cruiser-light) and CA (cruiser-armored) were being used. If one didn't know better, they'd think a CV was some new cruiser type (which is ironic, considering some Cleveland-class CL hulls were actually converted in WWII to light carriers, resulting in a new class of CVL's: carrier vessel-light in which the C no longer stood for "cruiser").
Like with any bureaucratic thing, it didn't remain stable for very long, and there's a bunch of stuff on Google if you want to learn more about it (like how the designations changed after WWII going into the Cold War).
Hope this helps.
DD is destroyer, but whats the other D for? CV aircraft but whats the CV stand for? BB same thing, battleship, whats the other B for ?
Can you play the Jinan which is a Austin at T10 Pan Asian Cruiser?
Brick is life.
Brick is love.
You should submit some of your replays to Jingles
How can you get such a big heal? Cant seem to get more than 19k on mine
how do you get that skin for monty?
The consistency is much to do with range. You're sitting a lot closer to enemies in this video than your Bungo ones. It's not fair to expect consistent citadels when you're always shooting at 20km+.
A lot of that is to do with the fact that Vermont sit at close range, while the Bungo will just get overmatched and explode.
How do u get those rust free camos?
Imagine the super Vermont.... What would they put on..... 16 457s at 40 seconds?
12 510s?
I’d say it gets 12 480s with funny dispersion button.

was it JtR ?
there seem to be a bunch of streamers and content creators using the term "Brick"

I'm sad I can't play my brick no premium, each salvo is eating into my credit wallet.
Bro how in the absolute h*ll do you get to play against players that go full broadside without even trying to dodge whatsoever
why do the ships in PQ videos always look so big? in gameplay they are smaller for me??

i get too many over pens with 457s, monty 406 is just enough to get full pens
I currently have enough free XP to either fxp my way to Marseille or Vermont. I'm super torn between the two. I have played both on PTS and I enjoyed both equally, but Marseille was more fun. However I'd miss the huge alpha strikes Vermont would give me.
I'd base my decision on how much you enjoy the lower ships of the line, personally the Cherbourg and Melons play substantially like the Marseille (and having 8 all forward guns even puts the Hooters above the Marseille in some scenarios) while with the US fattleships the Kansas was fine since she's rather compacts, has that RN DD acceleration built in and undisputedly the heaviest alpha at T8. The Ovalsota? not so compact, shell traps galore, faces Condes, Satsumas and etc. pretty regularly and not even the heaviest broadside at T9 within the USN since the Kearsarge is a ship that exists.
@@alphax4785 I didn't really play the preceeding ships on PTS, because I play on PTS only to try out TX ships which helps determine which ship is worth the grind. Anyways, why I'm really confused between the ships is because both of them are truly good for their own ship type. Marseille is agile, carries the French gimmicks and one of the best super cruiser concealment. Vermont on the other hand has one of the best BB concealment for the gun caliber! Why is this so difficult to decide lol😂
Personally, I would get Vermont first since it’s a lesser grind to Marseille. At the end of the day, do what you think would let you have more fun.
@@atpyro7920 I'm super confused. I enjoyed both, but Marseille was more fun, so I guess I'll get Marseille first
@@sameerkharade7750 There you go then
Vermont heal I say is better than Montana, although Montana heals more at once, Vermont's 50% citadel repair is great for long games.
How is this ship not nerved? At least the concealment. This ship is giant. How is it so stealthy?
It's 'cause it's so slow. If it had a concealment that would make sense for a ship its size, it'd be constantly spotted, and wouldn't really have good battle impact. It (somewhat) made her balanced. Upping her detection range a bit wouldn't hurt though.
Vermont is best brick, be honest here.
Bit confused why you say turning out is a good way to manipulate the "aiming system". The dispersion is centered around where you aim, if a ship is turning away you need to aim higher. If you do not aim higher, you miss more shells because your dispersion is now centered where the enemy ship is not, this is not the fault of the game.
