Its a great spot for camping and some fishing, and even a swim.
The track down isn't for the the faint hearted, but well worth the drive in.

Is it just me or is your footage getting clearer and clearer with every episode? Great mate.
Always shoot in 4k mate, I have played around with Lens setting in some of the latest videos. On the last trip ( video dropping in two weeks so Ep 2 after next weeks) I shot in the wrong format still 4k tho so was an easy fix. Glad you enjoy them mate, cheers for the comment 👍

That's a great spot mate.
I remember growing up in Bairnsdale in the 80s My brother and I used to walk in from the top.
We used to swim across to the big wall on the other side, climb up and jump off.
Very deep below that wall mate.
I also remember driving my ford escort into the old weir down weir track, but we came on to the river on the other side of Stony CK junction.
Not sure what the track is like now.
What a magic place.

Yeah it's a great spot there mate, that other track now goes up the top, so hard to get down.

I actually visited the Old Weir Site today with my support worker. We weren't game enough to drive all the way down the track and ended up hiking down on foot. Incredible spot. Great video and footage of the Mitchell River. It's awesome to see it from another perspective.

Oh yeah, another spot where I spent time fishing and camping, shame about the "Bush Pigs" being there but at least there are still people like yourself that care for these pristine places and look after them, well done and take care Cheers

I have to head up to lindenow today and thought I'd look around the map and see if theres anything interesting around... Came looking for some footage of the track in to see if its doable in the hilux... Lucky you put this up yesterday! Great stuff, going to have a flick while up there.

Looks like pin stripe city down there mate. Good effort coming back up on those wet rocks, the camera never does those tracks justice. Well done cleaning up after the pigs mate, i do the same every trip.

I’ve been to the weir several times, but only by river. Your videos give me a view of rivers in the east of Victoria that I haven’t been to because I don’t have a 4x4. Keep up the good work!

Excellent video. I was sweating a new a/hole watching you ride those rocks in the drizzle. Still they must have used that access to build the weir and had a sizeable construction camp back in the day.

Great spot! I went in on the other side of the river a while ago, the tracks a bit easier but you’ve gotta clamber down a rocky face to the river👍

Talking about rubbish, l’ll tell you a story one time we found a rope tied to a tree going into the river. We were a bit scared of retrieving it it was tired to a heshan bag but nothing to bad but rubbish,but what they forgot was to check there was a name and address on some of the rubbish we took photos and passed it on to the authorities,we were notified some weeks later 5 people were charged for littering.
Yeah that would freak me out a bit, lucky it was just rubbish, mate glad they got caught that great 👍👍👍
hopefully with the 10 cent deposit on bottles and cans will stop idiots throwing them in the bush , its one of my pet hates in the bush

Wouldn’t guarantee it. The bottle refund scheme has been made a bit difficult with the lack of actual depots which results in the self serve ones (like ATMs) always filling up quickly and not accepting any more until emptied it may discourage people to bother. That’s what I reckon from my experience.
I haven't come across that issue here yet mate. Hopefully the improve there system
