Good video always! Boy, you’ve opened a topic that has always stirred quite a bit of discussion and differing opinions. Mine is this. Working ranch hand cowboys will have a string of 5 - 7 horses. Maybe even more. But usually they have just one saddle. Ya touched on this in the video when ya mentioned how yer roping saddle is very comfortable for you. Working hands may spend 8 - 12 hours a day in the saddle, on several different mounts, so that saddle has got to be as comfortable as yours is. Unless the saddle was custom made for a horse with a very peculiar back, any western saddle should be able to fit any horse by using a combination of pads. That’s how those ranch hands do it. I’ve heard it said that if ya have a custom saddle made for one specific horse, ya might as well bury it with the horse when it dies. So what I’m saying is have that custom saddle made to fit your butt, with a generic tree that will accommodate nigh on any 14 - 16 hand quarter horse with the right combination of padding. I’m sure some may disagree with me, and I’m not slamming anybody. It’s just fun to hear other opinions. Sure enjoy yer vids!
Lazy boy saddle sounds perfect for me. But the word “custom” was thrown so much that it’s prolly $4k minimum so I’ll stick with my WWE steel chair saddle lol!
Hello my grandfather passed recently and he left behind a JH Rowell Saddle I have very little information on it. Can anyone help me out or point me in the right direction
@@mihakabercic4457 my saddle was 600 (its a english saddle tho) but it really is such a good saddle! Fits my horse perfectly and its super comfortable!
@@lau.c.2010 yeah but it's different with western saddles since it's made of wood and if you get a cheap one it'll most likely break if you try rope in it

What halter are you using? It's very slick
Hi!
How do you pick saddle seat size for you?
? Do saddles make you bounce when in a trot or canter or is that pure user error or horse's gait?
It happens but that’s normal.
