It is so refreshing to see and hear someone that can actually PLAY a guitar , instead of the wannabes that take out their musical frustrations on their instruments , and our hearing .

Frank's songs go long at every performance. ALL his music is excellent. Not dead yet is a good one. They all are. The answer. Strange Dreams. The most beautiful is Poppy.

One of the most underrated guitarists and songwriters of our time. Frank is a gem ! Check out Tommy Bolin for more hidden gems on guitar and vocals.

Frank Marino, one of Jimi Hendrix's greatest disciples along with Robin Trower, Uli Jon Roth and Stevie Ray Vaughan. Not only does he have immaculate, precise, no-nonsense guitar playing and the ability to play all styles, but he also has a clear, powerful voice.
From this Live at the Agora Theatre, you can also try the track "Something's Comin' Our Way".

Frank is another guitarist who continues the overall Hendrix tone and touch. The first three Mahogany Rush albums hold a special place in my heart from that space in time. Lulu would have loved his hair in the 70s, lol.

Live at Agora Theater was basically a tribute to his life’s work. It was a SIX HOUR performance and there is a DVD of it. I actually bought all his early albums back in the day. His first LP, titled Maxoom, was released in 1973. He retired from music in June 2021 because of health issues. One hell of a music career.

Frank Marino was the lead singer of the band called Mahogany Rush. They did an albulm that was the best Jimi Hendrix style of music called Maxuuma. You would swear that it was Jimi himself playingg and singing but he had been dead for quite a no. of years before this album was released.
Love your channel and love to see Lulu when she really likes a song. Keep up the good work.

IMO, his 2nd album Child Of The Novelty was a better example of his Jimi Hendrix style of play.

This entire DVD is amazing. Frank is about 60 here and slightly past his prime, but still able to blow away almost any guitarist you can think of. Back in the 70's and 80's Frank was the absolute pinnacle of rock guitar. greatest arena rock guitarist of all time. Ever. Check out any live album by Frank and his band, Mahogany Rush. You will never hear rock guitar at a higher level.

Is a stellar drummer to from what i have read about him. The DVD Live at the Agora. Almost never happened. Thanks Franks work ethic and know how he had fo edit every drum hit bar by bar. 36 million edits he fixed it. You cannot detect any drumming overdubs. Cause he extracted the drumming from a low leaked microphone. Software tools

@Deltroyer1963 I do have a story to tell. #1 we came in from the back but stopped about halfway in behind the tower speakers. One of them didn't work so when Aerosmith came on I went up front. #2 I had a 'Green Thumb' back then and you can guess what I grew. Strong Red Hair. I had a chamber pipe that I used to make it stronger. It was a water pipe and I collected filtered resin from the tube on the mouth piece side that I used to paint the inside of the papers. I did all of that to smuggle a few strong ones in. When I went up front I met a guy and offered him A few hits. He only took one and just drifted away. As it turned out they didn't check anything like they were supposed too. #3 Going to the rest room (Porta Potties) was so crowed that you were stuck and had to go with the flow and at times your feet didn't have to touch the ground. I just wish I had gone to the 1st jam with my cousins. That one closed with Emerson Lake and Palmer and the flying piano. (Of course it wouldn't really work and was gutted) # 4 I had another cousin that was a Sheriffs Explorer in Apple valley on the other side of the mountain. They were monitoring the radio calls in case they were needed. There were some bad things that happened but nothing that required them.

Thank you Kathy Lulu & Donna!
Loved your reactions - especially for somenoe you never heard of!
Frank as you've noticed, is a wonderful talent, blending many styles of sound - rock/blues/jazz/fusion - writing and producing the vast majority of his material.
It's interesting to see the three generations of appreciation for Frank, considering his roots are from the late 60s through the 70s, and being primarily a driving, hard rocking bluesy style, combined with the psychedelic feel of the 60s.
He'll always be one of my favorites and glad you were able to showcase this lovely piece.

But I recently Read that he has a shoulder problem. So he's not playing guitar right now and I don't know from what I read. How long this condition will last?So hopefully it gets sealed and he goes back to playing.
